Beautiful week at the beach
We have vacationed at the Islander on numerous occasions and always the last week of September so we can attend the Destin Seafood Festival and the Seaside Yard Sale. The weather this year was just perfect--warm enough to go in the water and cool enough to sit out on the balcony in comfort. We had rain one morning, and other than that, the days were great for shopping or walking for exercise and the evenings were perfect for eating out on decks/porches of the restaurants. Unit 504 was very nice. We came to rest and we really did a good job of it! We love The Islander and would recommend it to anyone.

always fabulous like previous years
We have been guest at the Islander for the past 4 yrs. It is always nice to stay here with family and kids. This is our place for our yearly summer family vacations.

We had a great time at the Islander
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and view was beautiful. We have been visiting the Islander since 1996 and will return again.

Good
Room was well furnished and clean. Our only complaint was the chinchy nature of furnished supplies. One roll of toilet paper for each bathroom, one roll of paper towels, and two packets of dishwashing detergent are hardly adqueate for a week's stay. Also, there certainly would be nothing wrong with leaving items such as coffee filters, salt and pepper, dish detergent and other incidentals in the unit instead of the maid removing them after every stay.

Spring Break 2010
We stayed at the Islander Room 504 from April 14-18. The worst part of this vacation was leaving!! There were 7 of us. My husband and I and our 5 kids ages 20, 18, 11, 8, 6. We had plenty of room! The condo was decorated beautiful! The beds were very comfortable. We seen dolphins everyday from the beach and balcony. We enjoyed the pools and hot tubs and the grilling area was nice. The beach water was a little chilly but the pools were heated so the kids had a blast! The pools and grounds are kept very clean. The only thing that was inconvenient was there was no washer/dryer in our room. The laundry facility is on the 2nd floor and you have to pay to use it. There was a sign in the lobby that sais they were closing down for renovations in August 2010. Maybe this will be one of their changes! Free Laundry!!! The staff was very nice. We left some shoes in the room and they were very helpful in getting them sent to us. All in all it was a great trip and we would stay there again!
