We really enjoyed our time at The Islander. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The pools were clean with beautiful landscaping. Enjoyed the shuffleboard and the gazebo in the back. The view from the balcony is my favorite part of the stay. Looking out over the jetti and the bay is awesome. The office staff downstairs were always polite and helpful. Thanks for everything!

Unit newly remodeled and comfortable; view of East Pass great for sunsets; front desk friendly and informative; complex newly renovated with good amenities (free beach chairs a plus); we least liked that there was a condo between Islander and the beach which put their maintenance shed and dumpster noise in front of Islander but must note it was annoying if you are on the balcony but not if you are inside the unit as it is quite soundproof. The 6th floor view made up for it, too.

room, pool, lobby, pools, etc were great. it rained the entire time, but we had a great time. the islander looks fabulous. I haven't been there in years, but it looks great and everything was wonderful.

This condo was very well appointed and clean. It is located off the main parkway so the traffic is not as bad either. We had a very nice time here and would recommend to anyone.

St. LouisOur Sunset Views Blew Us Away!

I've vacationed in Destin since I was a kid, but I've never seen it like this before. This room is all about the views from the balcony; every night the sunset was spectacular, and we could even see the surf breaking on the beach. There were even fireworks the first night we were there and I have never had a better view - right in front of us! The cottages and lake in Destin Pointe made the view even prettier (but beware, you cannot enter that neighborhood at all to walk around the lake and to the jetty). Everyone was very friendly, and even accomodated our late flight by letting us have a later check out with no extra fees. Unit was very clean and kitchen was well-stocked (except for no salt and pepper!); we cooked a whole red snapper and two pounds of shrimp in the kitchen and had all the neccessary pots and pans. The walk to the beach took about 10 minutes, but we knew this beforehand so no surprises. It was very quiet while we were there (early Nov.), but I can imagine it would be much noisier (as is all of Destin) in the summer when the pool below our room and the barbeque pits would be in full use. We will definitely stay there again, in that very room (616). We loved it.

I truly enjoyed the spacious room. It was very clean. My boys, ages 7, 8, truly enjoyed the view from the balcony. The big flat screen tv was wonderful! Not one bad word to mention about staying in the room!

I was supposed to be in room 616. Had picked it out first before
everyone else because it was so beautiful. However, upon arriving the
Islander switched me to another room that was not near as nice.
