I don't even think the word amazing gives justice to our stay at Casa Di amore. Upon arrival the house was even better than expected, the pictures on the website do not give it justice. The management was very nice and very responsive to any needs we had, could not have asked for better service. We had a group of 17 staying in the home, 10 kids from age 2 - 13, and 7 adults, we had plenty of room for a comfortable stay.
After reading some of the reviews before we got to the house I was kind of concerned about hot water and management, but that was very short lived, no worries after an hour of being there. The hot water issue was not an issue at all, you have to let the water warm up for a minute and the whole house cannot take showers at the same time, which is normal for any home. The management was very nice and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.
All in all it was the best vacation I have had to date, would use their service and home again anytime. The house is nicely stocked with anything u need, and the location is perfect for shopping, the beach, or just relaxing by the lake. -

Our stay at Casa di Amore ended up being a great decision for Spring Break. The house was everything we read about and more. Its amenities were top-notch and spacious for our large group (18). Its location was convenient to the beach, grocery store, nightlife, and shopping venues. We absolutely loved the heated hot tub and pool--it was worth every penny! The price for our stay was extremely affordable. The house was absolutely amazing; the owners provide outstanding space for our vacation. Compass Resorts handled both requisite maintenances quickly and thoroughly. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Destin is great! Would recommend Casa di Amore to a friend; strongly considering staying there again in the near future

This place has very nice amenities. The only problem we had was with the upstairs shower in the master bedroom on the left. The hot water was very inconsistent by going hot to cold while taking a shower.

This is our 2nd year at Casa di amore and we love it! We will definitely book next year. The location is fabulous. The beach is beautiful. The house accommodates our family very nicely - we love the back pool deck and spent a lot of time out there. I highly recommend this place for any family vacation.

Aside from a few items, the stay was very nice. The walk to the beach was a challenge for me, (health reasons) but everyone else did not have a problem. And not being able to solve the mystery of getting hot water (after finding out how to get water) in the top bathrooms was a challenge. There is a brick at the top of the back outside stairs that caused some injuries, and almost contributed to more. And we found that any floor was extremely slick if water is on the floor and one does not have shoes on. There were just five (5) teaspoons at the residence when we arrived, and five (5) when we left. And with 5 or 6 remotes, who knew what was happening there? Any calls made to Compass Resorts was handled extremely well. Generally we worked with angeline Ross for this. There was tremedous commotions outside at 5:30 am on Tuesdays and Fridays, but that is to be expected I'm guessing. And early Sunday morning, some obnoxious college renters thought we needed to be awakened for some reason, who knows? The pool was used by everyone, however, we did not know that we would not need the heating (pool and hot tub), and we had the maintenance worker turn it off in midweek. The hot tub does have a tremendous suction and I question if it has been modified for safety reasons? Showers were also very slippery and one had to take care to reduce the possibility of a fall. All of the normal gadgets worked well; dishwasher, washer, dryer, and small applicances. We enjoyed your home, and the family did as well. The grandchildren especially loved the pool. We would rent again, the privacy on the beach was very nice. The date of our visit gave us much privacy, apparently some homes had no renters.

This home is lovely and perfect for our needs. We had family from the age of 1 year to 88 years old. The large living area was fantastic and so was all of the bedrooms. The one complaint we had was that we had no hot water in the bathrooms & kitchen on the first 2 floors. I was told the owner never heard of this before however I saw comments on the internet over a year ago about this problem. This is not right.

Our family had a fantastic time at this property. The beach is literally a minute walk in a beautiful neighborhood. The outdoor space was phenomenal Plenty of room for our group of 10. Decor and indoor space were great. Kitchen was wonderful with a few exceptions. The toaster did not work, nor did the blender so margaritas were out. The hand held mixer also does not work (it turns on but does not rotate the whisks.) we improvised by hand mixing. The master bedroom that has ocean views, this bathroom flooded the downstairs kitchen when using all of the water sprays (so we only used it the one time.) We had a wonderful time and would definately rent again.

We particulary enjoyed the location of the house, close to the beach and great for fishing.The pool was a nice size. The accommodations were perfect for our family. The tile floors were lovely but slippery when wet! We would love to stay there again next year. We did have a problem with having enough hot water for showers.

Have been vacationing in Destin for 9 years or so. Love the area... we (with kids and grandkids) stay in a different rental house each year. I must say, Casa Di amore in Dunes of Destin is probably my favorite because of the combination of great house with a great location. We have never stayed in that area before. Absolutely loved it! Compass Resorts and the owner were very nice and accommodating. Thanks for a great time in Destin!

Wow!The house is more amazing than the photos. We were so excited when we entered the beautiful three story home. Every room was beautiful and the amenities were absolutly first class. The house is very close to the beach - just steps away. We adored having a pool that we could come back to and cool off after a long day of sun. The lake behind us was so serene - we fed the ducks and turtles everyday! We were very happy with the accomodations and hope to come back again. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful property with us. It is a great memory that will not be forgotten.

The staff at Compass Resorts is excellent! They did everything possible to make our stay as pleasant and memorable as possible. We had a problem with the pool but the staff at Compass Resorts stayed on top of it until it was fixed and communicated with us the entire time. Service from them was outstanding!! We will use Compass Resorts again in the future. The home is well layed out with every room having their own private bath, loved!! Loved having a pool with a short walk to the beach. Nice, comfortable home. The only thing that I can think to suggest to make our stay better is if they had beach toys for our use (we flew to Florida), and an elevator (haha). We love Dunes of Destin. We stay in this community every year. Family oriented. We will always stay in Dunes fo Destin! We would stay in this house again!

This was one of the best family vacations we had... The house was beautiful - everything we were told it was - the pictures did not lie! It was extremely clean, the location was great and the beach was awesome... we have decided to make it an annual family event and to definitely always stay in the Dunes of Destin!

We arrived on a Saturday just as housekeeping was finished cleaning. The home was all & more than we expected. It is a beautiful home, we loved the big kitchen, there was plenty seats available throughout the home & patio. We loved the upgrades in the bathroom. The pool was nice and clean, we loved the deck out back, we even caught a few fish, but threw them back. We had 16 people throught out the week and our time in Destin was very memoriable.
We did have a couple complaints, we did not have wrist bands to use the beach area assigned to us on the 4th of July. The association said you (Compass Resort)were responsible for getting it for us, and your staff said they( the association) were supposed to supply us with wrist bands, we were told we had to leave the beach area and not return until we had the wrist bands (Per Julie from the association). Your staff tried to contact the manager all day and no one returned her call. After explaining to the kids we could not go on the beach, we ended up coming back to the house and made good use of the pool. We are very thankful for the refund from Compass Resort regarding this issue, your staff was very polite and professional. Also, there was alot of clutter in the garage we could only fit one small car and we had to use the house next doors drive way because our cars were in the street.
We plan to visit Destin area again this time next year. If your homes are available let us know.

The house is still being renovated. We had to call twice about leaks from the third floor shower into the kitchen on the second floor. The second time it was like a monsoon and it kept us up half of the night. Besides that, it would have been a great trip.
