Welcome to 1206, this condo is located on the 12th floor of the building. This condo has a gorgeous view of the Gulf of Mexico. It is a spacious and open condo, there is tile in the entry, kitchen, and bathrooms, and then carpet in the bedrooms, living and dining rooms. It has a large flat screen television and Blu-Ray player in the living room. The master bedroom has a flat screen television, a DVD player,a ceiling fan, and a safe for valuables. We had a very enjoyable vacation from beginning to end, the end was the worst because we hated to leave. The service at the front desk was excellent and every employee at Edgewater that we came in contact with could not be nicer. The condo was very homey, we loved it. Our first time staying in Destin and we will definitely be returning. Loved this condo and the Edgewater. Highly recommend.

Left on 07/12/2012 for a stay in June 2012
1206 had a terrible mildew odor throughout the unit. The garbage disposal had not been run and was disgusting. We arrived around 11:30 pm, so we had to spend one night in it. The maintenance crew tried to eliminate the odor but could not. We requested to be moved, and they graciously provided another unit for us which had no odor. Mildew was growing in 1206 on the ceiling at the sliding glass door in the master bedroom. This unit had not been cleaned very well either. The floors were dirty(hair, dust bunnies, sand, etc.). The toilets had not been thoroughly cleaned either. The refrigerator had not been cleaned out well(food particles, spills, hair).
The building was clean as were the grounds (pools, gulffront area). The beach was beautiful as was the water. The location for us was great. It was across from outlet and about 10-15 minute drive from Destin. After the first night and the move, we had a great time.
The 1201 unit was very comfortable, not as large as 1206, but ok for us. I would have appreciated some amount of refund for having to spend one night in 1206 and then having to move again.

The condo was in excellent shape, clean and worth every penny we spent. The common areas were clean, especially the pool area. The staff were polite. The location was great, right on the beach. We will be going back to this location, hopefully the same condo.
