Welcome to condo 505, this is a one bedroom, one bathroom condo located on the 5th floor of the building. This condo features animal/ safari prints and decor. Both the kitchen and bathroom cabinets and countertops have been newly remodeled. There is tile throughout the condo except for the bedroom, which has beige carpet. There are 2 flat screen televisions and 2 DVD players in the condo. The bathroom does have a hairdryer.

Unfortunately, we rented during what must have been the busiest week of the year, so Edgewater was full. The beach was crowded as was the pool. Our unit this time (we've been many times before to Edgewater) was barely equipped with the minimum kitchen supplies. The decor? Horrendous jungle theme. En route to the beach near the end of our stay, I fell on the steps near the beach--entirely my fault--and injured my ankle, I thought. Turns out I fractured the fibula. When we checked out a day early, no one asked why. I didn't inform the management of my injury because I didn't see any point; they were not responsible. We also didn't like the email sent a few days before our arrival warning us that the unit probably wouldn't be available at the promised time because of the large influx of arrivals expected on the same day; likewise, while we were there, the management warned that checkout could be troublesome because in the town of Destin 4000 units had been rented so many people would be leaving at the same time. Why not hire temporary staff to accommodate the crowds? I've been going to Destin since 1981, and I don't like what it's become: Gatlinburg on the Gulf.

We have been to Orange Beach 1,000's of times and I was ready for new scenery. The extra drive is certainly worth it. While the Edgewater is an older building, it has nice updates and is very clean. The grounds were beautiful...the beach staff is the best!! They take great pride in their work and keep "their" beaches very clean. Looking forward to future visits.

This is a very well run facility. Our condo was very clean and in great condition. The beach area in front of the condo is kept clean and is beautiful.
