Casa Divina is a beautiful 5 bedroom home located on the first row in Destiny by the Sea. This large rental home is directly across from the beach with wonderful gulf views from the porches and living areas. The master suite features a large private balcony with beautiful views of the gulf. The open floor plan and large balconies make the home extremely spacious and it's perfect for large groups. Enjoy televisions in every bedroom and living area as well.

This is a four bedroom house with two beds in a living area not a five bedroom house as advertised. In other words you have to walk through one of the "bedrooms" to get into another bedroom. Study the floor plan online and be aware that the fifth bedroom has no privacy.
Surprised at the lack of necessities provided for a house of this caliber - i.e. no broom, vacuum, trash bags, basic groceries of any type, kitchen towels, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.
The refrigerator wreaked of fish or seafood of some sort when we arrived. Someone had put air fresheners around the house in a vain attempt to cover the smell. We had to get baking soda and clean the fridge and after a week it was beginning to smell better. The house was in mediocre repair which needed some attention.
The management compant, Five Star, was very slow to respond to all of our requests from an early check in to a combination for the lock box. They didn't know and never provided us with a code for the garage door opener.
All in all, compared to the other houses we have leased in Destiny By The Sea over the past 8 years Id have to give this an average to below average rating.Response from Five Star Beach Properties - 03/28/2013

To be honest we only really used this house to sleep. My family had rented 3 houses right next too each other and the house on the beach was the main house we used all weekend. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean. Only thing I'd tell the owner to do is update the TVs. Maybe add a flat panel or 2 around the house. Also, there was a sliding door to one of the bedrooms that was broken all weekend but we didn't really care since we were not using the house too much. Other then that our stay was comfortable and the house was convenient to everything.

This home was absolutely beautiful! The neighborhood was peaceful and the home exceeded my expectations. A representative was waiting for us at the home when we arrived. She explained everything to us about the home, the beach, etc.

We enjoyed Casa Divina greatly. It was large enough to handle the 4 family groups that used it, had good living and kitchen space, so had lots of utility for us and the larger associated family group next door. We were able to have large group meals, let the kids play in the TV and living areas and have the privacy and comfort we desired when needed. It was very convenient to the beach and to grocery/supplies that we needed.
The only issue we had was that the 5th bedroom was not adequately described. We had thought prior to arrival that it was a whole separate room rather than a bedroom "area", with any passage to the other BR on that floor going through the 5th bedroom vs through a hall. The door to that area also was not working so it would have been difficult to make it work if we had another couple of adults using it. It would work for a family with some small children (if the door to the LR worked) but not for a separate family. Fortunately, we didn't need to use it, so we were not hindered on our vacation, just surprised.
The appliances, kitchenware, Grill, Televisions and Web access were all fine and more than adequate for our needs. The elevator was a real plus for some of our aging group (as well as an assist for moving groceries and sleeping babies.)Response from Five Star Beach Properties - 09/26/2012

My family and I stayed at the Casa Divina house and absolutely loved it! It was the perfect location for such a perfect place. We were hesitant at first to get a house that was not right on the beach, but we loved the location and we were no more than a 30 second walk away! There was plenty of room for everyone--there were 14 of us; 10 adults and 4 kids. We felt right at home and would definitely stay in the Casa Divina rental or any other Five Star Rental rental again--their customer service was great!

Our spring break started off as a disaster. We arrived at our location with the intention of staying for the week and was shocked to find the property not fit to stay. My Niece and mother immediately went to Sandestin Beach and Golf Resort to check on availability and on the way back noticed a property for rent by Five Star Beach Properties listed with Troy Trahan, so she called and he said that the property was rented but had another property availiable for that week in Destiny By The Sea. We met him there and was pleasantly surprised and thrilled to have found a place for seven members of my family in such a short time. The Casa Divina was beautiful and perfect for my family, they were so excited! Troy and I sealed the deal with a handshake! This transaction was last-minute but literally saved our vacation. Thank you Troy Trahan and Five Star Beach Properties. You now have a client for life!
