The home was great, but we did have some issues! The house was not clean, we found trash in the bedroom and kitchen. Both sofa beds were not made, not even a fitted sheet and the bed on the second floor still had the dirty sheets wrapped up in a ball. It was a mess! I have to call 2 times for more towels and blankets. And when I called for the second time Chandler was rude!! How would you feel if you just spent almost $1000 and you had to be treated like that?
But, the house was ok except for the uncleaness. I might stay again but as of now I will not! -

This was the first time we rented a house instead of stay at a hotel, but since it was mother's day and my mom's 50th birthday, my brother, sister, and I wanted to make it special. It was a perfect weekend! The house was only a short walk to the uncrowded beach, plus there was a nice, refreshing pool we could use as well and the outlet malls were across the street.
There were 8 adults and one 3 year old child. The home had puzzles and games for us, as well as a TV in each room. My niece could watch Sponge Bob in one room, while the rest of the adults watched TV (and napped!). The house has a washer and dryer, so we were able to have fresh towels every day for the beach.
The house was well stocked with anything you might need from your kitchen at home: silverware, dishes, glasses, cooking utensils, pots and pans, huge pantry for food, even a crock pot and rice cooker for low fuss meals! The only down side was were we only given one small trash bag and didn't realize that until it was too late. The pull-out bed in the loft was very hard too, but I don't know any pull-out beds that are comfortable. We ended up sleeping on the couch and large chair instead. Much more comfy!! And what a beautiful view of the beach from there.
There's so many good things to say about the house! There was plenty of parking for the eight of us. The house had a private balcony or patio for each room and seperate exits from the two downstairs bedrooms. The decorations in the house were beautiful, not tacky. The views from each room was nice, especially the loft. The pool was cool and refreshing and a short walk up the street. Grocery stores were very close by for anything you might need.
It truly was like home away from home. My family will definately go back. Maybe we can make it a tradition for every Mother's day!

We had a nice time while in Florida. Only big down side for us was it was not as warm as we hoped. The highest temp was about 78 and it was cold on the beach at times. I wont go back in late October because I LOVE the warm weather and being able to play on the beach/water. It was nice however to not have to deal with all of the extra traffic of summer time vacationers...we got right in at restaurants and hardly any traffic. Now for the house, it was nice but it felt like the whole house was shaking when people would go up/down the stairs. Wash clothes for the kitchen would have been nice, they provided a sponge but they are germy. The rooms are perfect size. It was great that each room has its own bathroom. The main living room is nice but the chairs are uncomfortable. The views are AMAZING. The house is in the best area..minutes from the beach(walking) and minutes from town...it was great! I do think we will visit this house again, it was in a great little area and everyone was very friendly. We had a great time!

Once again, our week was wonderful! The cottage was clean and the location is perfect. I highly recommend this home for its proximity to the beach and the pool. We enjoyed the outdoor bar-be-que grill very much.
We will definitely rent this on our next trip to Destin. -

There are many houses by the sea and if it's your first time visiting Florida or even Miramar Beach you may be overwelmed when trying to find the right place for your group. Bally Hoo was just right for ours. Located in Gulfside Cottages, we were impressed with the imaculate upkeep of the neighborhood. The convenience to the beach, grocery store and outlet malls to mention only a few. The house itself was family friendly; we had 3 couples + grandma and everyone enjoyed their own bathroom and individual deck. The decor is Southern Living style very comfortable,tastefully arranged. Not too fancy that you can't relax but definatly not digs for a beach bum. There may be better views in the high rises but we thought no elevators or parking garages when you stay at this rental is a great trade-off.We definatly would come back and pick this vacation rental.
