Harrison, TennesseeBeautiful Beachfront View
Left on 04/07/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We stayed in unit b for Christmas. It is directly on the beach, literally! The view of the ocean is awesome and overall, for the price, this is a nice rental. It has 3 floors, so be prepared to walk up and down the stairs. This rental needs to be updated, and quickly. The first floor has 2 connected bedrooms, one with 2 queen beds and a very small, ancient 9"-12" TV that does not work. I am in no way exaggerating about the TV. The rug in the 1st downstairs bedroom needs to be replaced, not because its filthy, but because it is old and worn. The second first floor bedroom is directly connected to the 1st and it has a full bathroom. There is a nice deck on this floor as well. This room has been updated a bit. It has a nice flat screen tv in it that actually worked. On the second floor is a very nice fully stocked kitchen, a half bath and of course, the living room. It has a nice flat screen tv, an ok dining set and another deck with the most amazing view of the ocean, simply stunning. There is also a nice sitting area on both the first floor and the second floor decks. There's a nice gas grill that we used to make burgers and hotdogs one night. The furniture needs to be updated in the living room. The third and last floor has 2 bedrooms, a master with a full bathroom and a small deck with a small bench that's perfect for watching the amazing ocean view. The master was great with a flat screen tv and nice updated carpet, linens and a flat screen tv. I loved the master bedroom. There is also a fourth bedroom on the 3rd floor that also has a full bathroom, a very small flat screen tv and 2 twin beds. My mother and mother in law stayed in this room, but they were never able to watch tv because it would turn on, but it didn't pick up any channels. The only complaint about this room was the TV not working and the mattress was uncomfortable. Overall, this is a nice unit and it can be great with a little updating. Now to the really bad part of our visit. The weirdo neighbor! We were supposed to have 2 parking spaces, but the weird shut-in in unit a kept his beat-up truck in one of the spaces. We complained and the rental office did go to ask for the space, but the weird one didn't open the door. We eventually just used unit c's space because no one was renting that unit. Trash, trash and more trash. The weird neighbor has trash all over the place. In front of the unit, on the back deck of their unit and on the sand under the unit. Because of the trash being everywhere, it makes the place look like a 3rd world rental. The neighbors 2nd floor deck has 15-20 garbage bags filled with garbage, piled up on the deck. It's gross. We were directly on the sand and we only had to go down the deck stairs to put our feet in the water. This nasty neighbor has trashed piled up on the sand under the deck with old toys, pizza boxes, bottles, cans wrappers, old food, etc. etc...disgusting. I've never seen such filth. We drove to Destin from Tennessee and as soon as we got into the unit, my husband jumped in the shower. Well, apparently this unit has not been rented on a long time and once he started the shower, the whole unit started emitting a sulfur-y, rotten egg smell. It took over the whole place and was awful. I called the office about this overwhelming smell and at this point we just wanted to move to another unit. The office did send over a maintenance man and it was caused by the trap in the shower because it hadn't been used in a long time. Whatever that means. Anyway, the smell eventually dissipated and the office was kind enough to give us 10% of our money back for the inconvenience. We liked the view so much that we stayed an extra day. I would recommend this unit, and I would stay here again, but hopefully when we come back, the weirdo garbage man neighbor will no longer be living next door.

this is a comfortable home with plenty of space for families to spread out ~ when you pull up don't let the outside fool you ...it is much nicer inside than it appears on first sight. it was quite warm in the downstairs king bedroom but overall the place was wonderful. YOu could not ask for better beach access :) the sleeping arrangements worked out wonderfully for our group .. a mother's day to remember !

Left on 02/25/2009 for a stay in February 2009
We were very pleased with our stay. The Townhouse is very spacious, clean, and right on the beach! Our biggest issue was keeping the sand out of the house, but that was a great problem to have.
If you've always dreamed of staying at a place right on the Gulf, this is it.

Nolensville TennesseeHouse OK - reservations need work
Left on 11/24/2008 for a stay in November 2008
I booked and paid a deposit for the Sandollar Beach house. 30 days before I arrived I called and paid my final payment. When I got my receipt it said I was staying in SummerHaven. When I inquired about why they had changed my property I was told that the owners needed it on those days and they moved me to SummerHaven without even telling me. It was too late for me to find another property. If an owner is going to put their property on this website for rent they should not be able to change an existing reservation. My issue is with the owners of the condo and no specifically the rental company. Cynthia, Wes and Wanda at Sandcastle escapes are wonderful. The owners of Sandollar ARE NOT!

This is a wonderful place to stay. Plenty of room for a large family and only footsteps away from the Gulf. We can't wait to go back next year.

Baton Rouge, LAGreat for a Girls Weekend
Left on 09/24/2008 for a stay in May 2007
This condo was PERFECT for our girls weekend/bachelorette party! It was very reasonably priced for a condo that is directly on the beach, and our group of friends liked that it wasn't in a high-rise complex, so it allowed for more privacy. It was very conveniently located, close to grocery/drug stores and the Outlet Mall! Slept 10 adult women comfortably. We had a wonderful weekend and really enjoyed the condo!

Great property. There were some issues on the air on the main floor. It got hot most of the time but other than that it was fine.
