Pierre, SDLocation is awesome!
Left on 04/11/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Just back from a 5 night stay at the Beachside Inn. The location is awesome! Across a quiet street from the most beautiful beach in the us. Close to great shopping and plenty of places to eat, get groceries etc. Beds were extremely comfortable! Wish they had more comfortable seating instead of just 2 hard wood chairs and a table. Rooms were clean. Suggest getting room away from resturaunt end due to some noise in the evenings. Parking can be an issue until it closes about 10p. We were there at spring break and they do not rent to young adults which is very nice. Included continental breakfast was ok. We would go back if it were just the two of us. For a family I would recommend a condo. Location is wonderful!!!

We chose this place because it is sooo quaint! We got married right across the street at the beach under the pavillion. Of course our original plans were to be barefoot in the sand, but there was a huge, electrifying thunderstorm right at ceremony time. No problem! The girls at The Beachside Inn are so wonderfully accommodating that they helped with a back up plan just in case this happened. This place is so clean and our room was adorably prepared for our wedding night. I love this place. Kelly and Peggy are awesome. I can not wait to go back. Thank you Kelly and Peggy!!!

Though this is an older property, the rooms were all freshly remodeled. With 3 options for eating on the property, we enjoyed a lovely coffee shop for breakfast, sussi bar and Camille's for dinner. All offered a variety of wonderful entrees.
We would love to go back and stay again. -

Left on 10/18/2012 for a stay in October 2012
Cute hotel and service very good. Loved the easy access to beach and easy walk to our son's house on Barracuda. Loved the quite surroundings in October!!
If it was in the comfirmation e-mail that we needed a code to open lock box after hours, I missed that, however someone else opened it to get their room key, so no problem but I would suggest making that very clear to other newcomers. Also, short hours for front desk help and she was very good when we were there in the day but we were gone with family several days all day long and was not open yet the morning we left on 10/9.
When we changed rooms to get a king bed, room 106 did not have a seal on bottom of outside door so was somewhat noisy. (Didn't see that seal was half torn off til day we left.)
Good experience and will stay there again.
Food was good at Carmilla's but even though there were a lot of empty tables, hostess sat us in a noisy spot by the door initially. -

Wireless Internet situation is a Deal-breaker. This was a working vacation and I could not work in my room. Service was intermittent but mostly disconnected. Peggy had to open guests rooms over and over again to reset routers - tooo unprofessional, even for a mom & pop establishment. Things needed in room: hooks in bathroom for swimsuits and wet towels; door jamb so big heavy door would remain open while loading and unloading items from room, power strip so coffee, toaster and microwave could run at same time (and have a place to charge phone/ipad, etc without laying them on floor or climbing behind bed - maybe in tv cabinet). Great restaurant; cool coffee/wine shop w/continental bfst included; quick access to all maor shopping; walk across street to Crystal Beach where my family stays but loved having my privacy - and no 7 day minimum.

We've been staying at the Beachside Inn since my child was 4 and he's now 15! I love the place because it is very convenient to everything most especially to the beach. I love the convenicence of having the cafe and the restaurant. Most especially, the staff had always been very friendly. I call it my home away from home.

Perfect location...right across the street from the beach. Staff was exceptional...very cordial and helpful. Rooms were much better than chain...very clean and neat. Good outdoor (or indoor) restaurant on the corner. Will be staying there again. They have a few rooms for pets, so they have to be OK people.

The room was as cleaner that you would expect after having people walking from the beach right to their room. We really appreciated the fridge provided. The staff was knowledgeable regarding local seafood markets. The only draw back was the bed. It was an odd combination of sinking into a memory foam but firm.
Loved it. Great location. We are hoping to return with friends next year. -

The service we received from Mrs. Jessica was above and beyond ! She is a very polite person . She had answers to all of our questions! We loved the condo, it was very homey and comfortable. As I said it is the perfect location to shop ,eat , or to walk across to the beach ! We will definitely come back every year!!! The only thing if I had to say was a problem was people in upstairs room were very noisy . But again it's vacation and I'm not complaining about any of that because we enjoyed it anyway ! I'm sure that's what they were there for also !!

Could not have been better for us. Location was excellent, the perfect distance to the beach and stores. The restaurant on property was truly 5-star. The "wine store" was one of the best I have been to and only 3 blk's away. We will be back for sure, and would have no worries recomending to the most picky vacationer.
Thanks Guy's,

Our room was very clean, neatly decorated and spacious. The motel is not real large and very quiet and private. The bed was sooo comfortable. The beach is accross the street and major shopping is walking distance away but you don't hear the traffic. The staff is very accomodating, Thanks. Our next trip to Destin will be the same room, same motel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the Beachside Inn. From check-in to check-out the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and very comfortable (bed a little soft for us but OK). The coffee shop where breakfast is included was delightful. All this and just steps from the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

The service was excellent, the employees were helpful on so many levels. The resturaunts on site were amazing. The rooms were perfectly decorated and set up perfectly for two. The bistro started everyday off with amazing coffee and baked goods. The public access beach was perfect, not too crowded at all. We loved our stay so much we spent an additional night...We couldn't get enough!

The Beachside Inn was a great place for my husband and I to spend our honeymoon. We were right across the street from the beach, and it was beautiful. The staff was wonderful. They made the check-in process very simple and easy, and were great about helping us with the several disasters, ie. jellyfish and sunburns.

Visiting the Beach Side Inn is an outstanding pleasant experience. Our dog is welcomed and for us that brings us peace of mind. The innkeeper takes special pains to make us comfortable with Fresh Flowers in our room. Daily maid service that is above average. Continental Breakfast with. Home made over sized muffins and pastry. coffee & fresh Orange juice. The rooms have a decided English country air along with the flower boxes and hanging plantings that trim the balconies. Enjoyed the pools and hot tub. Did not want to leave. For a vacation of this quality with the luxury of a beautiful Beach. The inkeepers are the hostess with the mostest. This is an Island type of vacation without expense of leaving the Good old USa. For an affordable, comfortable, pampered stay.

This was my family's 2nd stay at the Beachside Inn and it was just as good as the first time around. We love the easy beach access and the complimentary breakfast that lets us not have to worry about making or tracking down breakfast. We just grab a danish and head right over to the beach. The room was always clean upon our return in the afternoon.

We knew the location from previous visits. Just needed a room for a couple of nights prior to access to another house rental.Room was clean and very nice.No big issues there. Wireless internet was medium at best. Was not very stable and access was intermittent. This is a very important service to us. We both require access for work and also personal contacts. We did not get room service. Had to get towels ourselves and then desk lady came down and got trash. This was also not a huge deal to my wife and I.Lastly, friends stayed in room one night as well. They paid $40 less per night than us. They stayed one night, we stayed two.You tell me? Not good business practice. A few dollars difference is no big deal, but $40/night, gets my attention. Desk person never offered to reduce rate.I guess you take what you can get, huh. Location is a wonderful spot and we have eaten at Camilles many times and will probably continue to do so. The next time I attempt to stay here though, negotiations will be a bit more detailed. Thanks, Byron J. Siebe

Starting at the front desk ..friendly and helpful. The lobby was clean and brochures with all the local activities available. The hours to the restaurant was explained and recommended by the desk clerk. I did not use it but the coffee shop was good with plenty of choices of coffee and pastries.
The room ...clean, new paint, large and everything worked. Slight issue with internet but resolved quickly by the friendly lady at the front desk. One complaint....the room smelled a little musty at first then around 2:00 in the morning the room freshener wore off and it was obvious previous smokers had used the room. Our friend in a pet friendly room did not have that issue. It was a very slow weekend so could not tell if it would be noisy. Not convenient for walking everywhere unless you like walking neighborhoods (which I didn't mind) However it was a close walk to the beach, which was not crowded. The sunrise and sunset was magical. The price was acceptable for the time of year. I would stay here again..but take air freshener!!! -

With Eunice so efficiently helping me with my reservation, including 12 rooms, dinner reservations for 38, and all of the details for the memorial weekend for my Mom, I knew we had chosen the perfect place. Eunice does a terrific job to make the traveler feel important, comfortable, and welcome from booking the reservation through checkout. Anything we needed during our stay was taken care of by "just asking Eunice". The rooms were very pretty, with such comfy and quality linens, and no amenity was missing. The coffee shop was great and the restaurant (and Chris Knight and his kind and friendly staff!) did a superb job serving us all and putting up with the confusion and excitement that comes with that many people. Your location is great for a quick walk to the beautiful beach and the walkway and showers made it even easier.
Thank you ALL for EVERYTHING...WE WILL BE BACK!!! -

My wife and I agreed that this was a great spot for our first vacation to Destin. The beach was very accessible--we could carry all of our things across the street (a street that is not very busy on that end). The cafe had great danishes for breakfast each day and we found the hotel to be pretty centrally located--very close to the beach and easy to get out to the main road for restaurants or attractions. It's a pretty small hotel, which we liked because it was not noisy and we didn't constantly hear doors slamming like you do in the bigger hotels.

This is a great, reasonably priced (for Destin)motel.
We stayed with our 15 month old son and we had a great time!. The beach is literally right across the street with great access, a little pavilian with bathrooms and tables. Theres no long walk to get to the water (which is great if you know how much stuff a toddler needs to carry to the beach!)
The hotel was neat and clean, the pool looked great (unfortunately we arrived during a rare cold spell in April - so did'nt get to use the pool - but we didi use the hottub! NICE & hot!)
We would deffinately recommend and stay again. -
