Windancer 103 was a nice beach home with a great location. We did have some problems with the air conditioning unit freezing up which created the unit leaking through the ceiling to the first floor. Staff was notified & we were told to keep our doors open & let it thaw out; if we needed assistance to call back the next day. We called back the next day since the unit was still frozen & the house was extremely warm inside. Maintenance staff stated they would contact an air conditioning service to respond. We lefted for the day & when we returned the unit had flooded the first floor area which the area rug absorbed most of the water. The air conditioning service arrived & placed freon in the unit and within 1 hour the house was cooled. We left a day early due to the odor caused by the water leaking through the ceiling. It was apparent this has been an ongoing issue since the ceiling appeared stained before & there were pans placed under the air conditioning unit upstairs.
I certainly understand how these issues can happened and it did not deter us from having a good time; however property management personnel may want to inspect the unit to determine what measures to take to keep the unit from leaking. Thank you.

The house is very nice. It was clean and the master suite and bathroom were especially wonderful. We did have a problem with ants and bugs at night that were getting through the stairway window. We were there when hurricane isaac struck and were forced to evacuate. Which was okay because we had purchased the travel insurance. But, I had to fight tooth and nail for our money back because the insurance was only going to reimburse us for 1 night. I am still waiting for the check for our full refund. If you can, get another insurance besides CSa travel.

We stayed for six nights at 103 windancer. It was wonderful! The house was very cozy and pretty. We loved the privacy of the house and pool. It was a great experience. And everyone at the rental place was so friendly and helpful.

From the first contact we had with destin getaways until the day we had to leave, everything was perfect. They are very friendly and handled all questions or issues in a timely and friendly manner. The house was as described and very close to the beach. We will definatley return and rent 103 windancer again.

Windancer 103 is a wonderful vacation home in the perfect location. You can see the beach from the house, and it is a very short walk to actually get there. We also loved having the private pool. The house was clean and well appointed, and the master bedroom was beautiful. The neighborhood is quiet but centrally located. It was especially convenient to be near Winn Dixie and the Silver Sands Outlets. We had a wonderful time! Unfortunately, two days before our scheduled check out the air conditioner quit working. Crye-Leike employees were wonderful about working with us to find another location to sleep that night and making a difficult situation seem much better. I would recommend Crye-Leike rentals and Windancer 103 to anyone!

103 Windancer was the perfect place for the annual trip that our group of three couples does once a summer! It had plenty of space for the what little time we spent inside the house. The weather wasn't so great when we arrived but the private pool was perfect for the late afternoon swim after the rain. The next few days were perfect. The walk to the beach was no longer than a mile and the ocean front was perfect! The house does have a problem cooling throughout the day due to the third part of the house not being ventilated. However though at night fall the view from the third story balcony was great! The breeze on the porch on all three stories was nice! Great location and great clean house for your perfect Destin Getaway!

My family and I stayed here in June 2011, this was our 7th year in Destin but our first time in this house with this rental company. The rental company was great, the house is really close to the beach and walking distance to the grocery store. The huge pool was great for the kids, this house really is in the ideal location. The furniture and carpet are showing their age but other than that it was a great house and great location. We have stayed in the same neighborhood for 4 years and love it. You cant really go worng renting from this company or this house.

We researched properties extensively, with multiple companies, prior to booking 103 Windancer. Crye-Leike staff were very considerate & helpul throughout. The location is amazing. Being a gardner, I was very impressed with the landscaping. You can view the ocean from the 2nd & 3rd story decks. If we needed anything while at the beach, it was a short & convenient walk back to the house. The house was nicely appointed & the pool was where we spent most of our time.
The only cons were the tv's & the carpeting which need updating & replacing respectively.

Windancer 103 met the whole family's approval. The location of the home was great. We had our own pool, and the beach was a few steps from the home. We were also very close to the grocery stores and shops, some were only in walking distance. It was definitely an unforgettable trip! We were so pleased, that we do plan on coming back next year!

The house was amazing! We had 3 families that went together and it worked out perfectly! We loved the privacy you had by having your own bedrooms and private bathrooms. We loved the private pool in the back of the house. We also loved the 3rd story balcony so you could go and watch the Ocean early in the morning. The only thing is that I wish that the house would have been a little closer to the beach. Besides that...we had no complaints. Was a great experience!

My wife, our two daughters, their husbands & two grandbabies
spent an awesome week at Windancer 103. For the most part we
had a very good amount of room but with a family our size we
could have used a little more seating area in LR and DR. The house
is fantastic - what you would expect of a beach house & it is very
nicely decorated. The master bedroom is huge & has a gorgeous
newly renovated bathroom. The other upstairs bedroom &
bathroom is a good size as well. The downstairs bedroom though is
great for teenagers & younger kids but not for two adults with a 10
month old - beds don't work for them, room is small & there is no
private BR.
The house has a large private pool which we spent a lot of time in
as well as a beautifully landscaped patio area w/ a grill that we
used twice. The overall yard is large & nicely landscaped as well (a
little bonus was the bean bag toss game that we used a number of
times!) The huge wraparound decks were awesome & put to good
use. We WILL stay here again.
On somewhat of a minor note they need to do a better job with
some minor repairs (e.g., burnt out light bulbs, semi functioning tv
remote, missing tv remote) but that was not a major issue.
Pleasantly surprised by the very short walk to the beach (2-3
minutes) & the beach was fantastic!
The Windancer community is quiet and the area is very safe place to
ride our bikes. We were extremely close to Scenic Hwy 98 so we
could go for long rides and walks along the beach drive on the
excellent bike / walk paths. A ton of shops close by including
Winn-Dixie. A nice little find was a coffee shop on Scenic Hwy
called Bad Ass Coffee. Great little place for coffee and breakfast
(free Wi-Fi as well).
We will definitely be back to Windancer again and not soon enough! -
Issues with Pool

The area was very nice...however, the weather did not cooperate. It was a little disappointing - I realize that we chose a colder month to come but I knew the home had a pool and could be heated. I called to try and get the pool heated and was told that they could not heat the pool because the owner did not want that. We paid for a home with a pool and it was so cold that we could not use it...it was very disappointing. I did learn that it's not a good time of the year to go to Destin.

The cottage was lovely and just a short walk to the beach. This was a definite plus, as we had an infant, a toddler and all the play equipment to carry back and forth for a week.
After owning and having rentals in this same upscale area, I appreciate the efficient check-in and housekeeping services that were provided.
For a rental home that sleeps 8, the seating area is a little small for dining and relaxing in the living area. -

Stayed in Windancer for 8 days. Rarely left the house except to go to the store and the beach. Very relaxing stay, what a vacation should be. No hustle and bustle. Enjoyed the third floor balcony in the early morning and late evening. The master bedroom and bath are very luxurious. Had everything we needed. Even tropical storm Fay could not dampen our spirits.

This is our second year in this fabulous beach house. It is perfect for our family and it's location is great. We enjoy our coffee on the widow's walk and love floating in the pool after a day at the beach. I would highly recommend this beach house and the Crye-Leike rental company.

Never stay at a high rise again. This is a quiet place to stay with an ocean view. You have your own pool and grill. Off peak rates are equal to that of some high rises. I would recommend this property.
