Fabulous setting - right on beach, amazing pool overlooking the beach, with several sitting areas - next to the beach, around pool and in outside covered 'cabana'. This outdoor area include a great bar, table tennis, darts and sitting areas. Great views!
The house is walking distance to 40 Thieves, scuba, kiting etc. Nice stroll on beach to get that sundowner drink! Yet it was super quiet and had no disturbances. Shopping centre/supermarked 'across the road' (7mins walk) - so easy!
We had an amazing chef - delicious food every day! Staff were friendly and great! And - best of all - the owner arranged to do all the shopping for us - so we sent a list and the food/drinks were already in our fridges upon arrival!
Rooms are basic, but very clean and well organised.
I'd book it again! -

This is a perfect house for people who want to fully relax and enjoy themselves. The house is basic but very nicely appointed, the staff are helpful and warm and the setting is magnificent. The house is perfect for families or groups that want tranquility rather than luxury. It is located on a beautiful stretch of beach and is within walking distance of basic services.

I have stayed at Baharini with my family for the past 5 years over the New Year period and loved every moment.
It has got everything we all need and want - a beautiful view, a gorgeous pool, a relaxed atmosphere, quiet corners to read on your own and it's a stone's throw away from all the New Year action!
Baharini provides the perfect family environment to chill out together, and also allows my brother and I (who are in our 20s) to enjoy the fun at the local beach bars nearby.
Colin and Paula are the perfect hosts and have made us feel so welcome and part of their family every time we stay. Their lovely dog Flora is also a great highlight for me,
as are the small family of Colobus monkeys that like to relax in the trees above our heads. -

Our family of 6 adults has just spent two weeks at Baharini Cottage over Christmas and New Year, 2012/2013 and had the most idyllic time there!
We have stayed in this cottage many times before, and it just gets better and better, and we hope to continue to stay there whenever we visit Diani Beach. It was a first visit for some of our party and they were not at all disappointed.
The cottage continues to "tick every box", offering comfortable, clean, relaxing and peaceful accommodation, in the perfect location!
The excellent team of staff continue to take care of all the cleaning and laundry in a very discreet and accommodating fashion, and the cook we hired produced excellent meals from the daily catch, catering for everyone's individual requests!
The addition of the swimming pool right next to the beach has provided the icing on the cake - we didn't think it could get better, but it just did!
I can't think of anything negative to say about our stay, except that two weeks wasn't long enough! -

We spend 3 lovely days with our daughter in the lovely Baharini Cottage. Despite the heat and lack of aC the electric fans provided adequate circulation. The lovely swimming pool directly next to the beach and proximity of the cottage to the warm Indian Ocean and the beach are the real bonuses of this lovely cottage. Hosts Paula and her husband are warm and friendly hosts and ready to assist wit any enquirers or issues u may have. All in all a lovely experience and would certainly return should we again visit Diani Beach!

I have stayed with my family (husband and 2 adult children) at Baharini on Diani Beach several times, and will continue to stay there when visiting Diani Beach.
The location is outstanding! It is situated on a perfect piece of Kenyan Beach just south of Mombasa. The Cottage, with beautiful views of the ocean, is just a few steps from the beach, which is long, with white sand and beautiful warm sea.
There are shops and restaurants within walking distance by road, and restaurants, beach bars and water sports facilities by beach.
The very friendly owners of the cottage live in a house on the same plot, which means there is always someone there to help and advise the visitors if needed.
There is a daily cleaning, turn down, and laundry service to the cottage, and a cook can be hired on request. Local fishermen bring their daily catch to the cottage for purchase which means that you can eat fresh fish and seafood each day.
The cottage and bar/games banda are casual, charming and relaxing, but with every comfort provided for. It is very quiet and peaceful there with beautiful birds and resident monkeys in the garden.
We love to go there as we feel we have the best of everything there... location, privacy, peace and freedom to do what we like, when we like with first class service thrown in! -

We have stayed here for a week each time over the last two New Years and it is a "home away from home". The location is brilliant not only because its on the best beach in Kenya but its close to a shopping centre so getting provisions is easy and entertainment at 40 thieves is just a short walk down the beach for our son and daughter who are in their twenties. The cottage is clean and the staff efficient. The whole experience is one of relaxation and being on the beach with the warm sea just waiting to be enjoyed.
Paula and Colin have built the cottage and the bar to a fine standard and have kept it that way. We can't wait until we go again and this time we are spending 2 weeks there over Christmas and New Year and will have the added bonus of the recently added swimming pool for when the tide is out. -

My husband and I spent a wonderful 5 days in this cottage. We found it very private and relaxing. The hosts and staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were spotless and kitchen had everything we needed. The staff organised fresh fish, lite our bbq and cleared away and we hardly noticed them! The pool is fantastic with amazing sea views (we spent most of our time there)retreating to the cool cottage balcony occasionally. Diani itself has lots to do but we mostly popped out to restaurants. Great shopping center a 2 minute walk away with everything we needed.I really cant reccomend it enough. We left feeling utterly refreshed and spoiled.
