Pintadera Beach House is situated by a small cove in the Kinondo area of Kwale. It is set in a lush, tropical garden and offers an outdoor pool.
The charming, air-conditioned rooms are fitted with Swahili-style furnishings and a seating area. Guest rooms on the upper floors have a covered balcony overlooking the garden (Limited availability).
Ground floor apartment can be hired on Self catering basis, short or long rental, with service staff included with the tariffs.
The Pintadera offers a traditional Swahili menu, international cuisine and fresh seafood.

I loved the location. Tucked away and secluded. No beach boys. The sound of the ocean lulled me to sleep each night.
Every meal was prepared with careful attention to detail by our hosts, Peter and Mani, and served by the delightful alex.
The house was tastefully furnished and kept very clean, and the garden was well tended.(I loved the decoration with shells) I look forwards to returning for another stay. -

Situated in a beautiful ocean front location, Pintadera is ideal for a relaxing getaway. Ocean breezes and no shortage of monkeys jumping from tree to tree made for a wonderful combination of relaxation and excitement. The villa itself is beautiful and very clean. Beautiful bedrooms and relaxing terraces. The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. They assisted me in booking all my excursions and went out of their way to be helpful. Incredible home cooked meals everyday, included fresh fruit, seafood and baked goods. I highly recommend a stay at Pintadera!

Wer einen Eindruck davon bekommen möchte, wie es im Paradies sein muss, der hat im wunderschönen Pintadera die Möglichkeit dazu. Hier ist man weit genug vom touristischen DianiBeach entfernt und verbringt die Zeit in vollkommener Ruhe.
Die wunderschöne Bucht ist fußläufig in 2 min erreicht und auch der private Pool lädt zum Relaxen ein.
Wir haben 2 wundervolle Wochen an einem der wenigen unberührten Orte an Kenias Südküste verbracht. Vielen Dank an Mani und Peter sowie amos und Bacari für das unglaubliche Essen und den „Rundum-Sorglos-Service".
If you want to get a sense of how it must be in paradise, the beautiful Pintadera has the opportunity to do. Here you are far away from the touristic DianiBeach and you can spend the time in perfect peace.
The beautiful bay is reached on foot in 2 minutes and the private pool invites you to relax too.
We spent wonderful 2 weeks at one of the few unspoiled places on Kenya's south coast. Many thanks to Mani and Peter, as well as to amos and Bacari for the incredible food and the "all-inclusive service."

Nach langer Recherche im Internet haben wir wohl die beste Unterkunft an der Südküste gefunden. Pintadera ist eine wunderschöne anlage, die einen entspannten und erholsamen Urlaub garantiert. Den wunderschönen und fast einsamen Strand erreicht man nach 70m Fußweg durch den Garten. Auch der Pool bietet eine wunderschöne Bademöglichkeit bei Ebbe. Mani und Peter, die Gastgeber, sind sehr um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht und versuchen alle Wünsche von den Lippen abzulesen. Der Service durch Mani und Peter, sowie amos und Bacari ist erstklassig. Sie haben eine wunderschöne gemütliche Unterkunft mit europäischem Standard geschaffen und zaubern täglich sehr leckere hausgemachte Gerichte. Peter hilft jederzeit gern ausflüge und anderes zu organisieren. Zusammenfassend muss man diese Unterkunft einfach nur Weiterempfehlen!!!

After much research on the internet we have found probably the best accommodation on the south coast. Pintadera is a beautiful facility that guarantees a relaxing and refreshing holiday. The beautiful and almost deserted beach is just 70m walk through the garden. The pool offers a beautiful swimming at low tide. Mani and Peter, the hosts, are very concerned about the welfare of our guests and try to read all the wishes of the lips. The service by Mani and Peter, as well as amos and Bacari is premium. They have created a beautiful cozy accommodation with European standards and conjure very tasty home-cooked meals daily. Peter is always happy to help arrange tours and others. In summary, one must simply recommend this property!

We had a enjoyable time with our children at Pintadera. Peter and his wife live upstairs and were available and accomodating with our kids as well as our dietary needs. The laid-back home has two large, en-suite bedrooms and a dining/sitting room. The location is a few min walk to a semi-private beach, inhabited with one other resort and a fishermen post - no locals selling wears. The ocean and pool are very warm. We did have seaweed - may want to check the season for it. We'd encourage you to bring water shoes, for when the tide is out. Their chef and house staff are so kind and hard working!

We stayed at Pintadera for 8 nights over Xmas 2012. For us it was such a perfect option for us because it's a small house with 2 rooms, so we were not constrained with finding other people to join to fill the house, but still we have all the comfort that only bigger holiday houses offer, such as a swimming pool. We were further pleased to see that the house is very comfy, with nice finishing in the bathrooms (which is not so common in Kenya), huge beds, nice furniture and air-con... The service is exceptional with daily cleaning, delicious full board meals and great care by Peter, the owner. We even had the pleasant surprise of receiving nice Xmas gift from Peter and family. It was a perfect combination between the privacy and affordable cost of a holiday house with the daily service and catering of a good hotel. The foods are even more varied and more finely cooked than most hotels. The swimming pool is not so big as in most holiday houses, but clean and is in the tree shade most of the day, which made our children stay for very long hours. Only one thing to be remembered, if you are addicted to televisions, you should bring some movies or TV programs in your laptop, as the house has no TV. We were happy to take a break of the TV and only spend very little time showing movies on the laptop to our children who are more demanding in this aspect. For water sports and free wifi we went to Pinewood hotel - Blue diving center which is very close to the house and cheaper than the further Sand of Nomad center in Diani. We didn't try the tours offered by the house, being content with a relax holiday, but will try next time.

My husband and I stayed at Pintadera House and had a most wonderful time. The room was clean, food superb and hosts very friendly. Fresh food, fruit and seafood was served for every meal- it was spectacular. We were able to completely relax and unwind by enjoying the beach, coves and pool at the house. Peter and Mani were very helpful, accomodating and amicable, making our stay just right. Thank you!

we saw pintadera on the internet and decided to give it a trial.It turned out to be a memorable experience of our life.Pintadera location is out of the busy tourism environment making it silent and unique for us.Checking in was easy and we must commend Peter and Emmanuella for their courtesy and welcome that they gave us.The room was very clean and spacious.We cant also forget the food which was very good and fresh,especially the fish...soo delicious.One memorable meal was a red sniper baked in salt accompanied by mashed potatoes.A voyage to Chale island by dhow and the whole stay at Pintadera was a wonderful experience.Kudos Peter and Emma and the staff for making our stay a memorable one.Expect us soon.

Our day in Wasini Island was very nice with the incredible experience of scubadiving with our friends. Also, on Chale Island it was a private Tour and lunch because they were no tourists. Mani and Peter are superb hosts at their gorgeous property! We planned our weekend at (nearly) the last minute and they couldn't have been more flexible and accommodating. The house is beautiful, the beds are enormous and super comfortable. Beautiful pool, idyllic private beach, monkeys swinging around in the morning. And the food!!! The chef, Rama, is totally fantastic - get ready to feast. Super easy access to snorkeling. A perfect weekend, wished we could have stayed longer!!! Very highly recommended and a great value.

Staying with Peter and Mani was an amazing experience! Their home is beautiful and ideally located on the beach (2 minute walk) with a private pool for guests! My friend and I enjoyed an extremely relaxing getaway with excellent food (private chef), fresh seafood from the beach (we even helped to catch a squid we later ate) and wonderful service. Pintadera Beach House is quiet, very private, relaxing, and fully accommodating! We were surrounded by private beaches and great hospitality. It is about 30 minutes from Diani Center, which means away from the hassle and disturbance of the touristy area. This place beats any resort in Diani because of its personalized service and food that will trump any resort buffet. We were waited on hand and foot for the week we were there. And the price is right! Overall, a magnificent vacation! Thank u peter and mani!

We stayed in Pintadera for a month and loved every day. It is out in the sticks and you cannot hear a man made sound. If you are looking for a quiet holiday away from tourists then this is it. We only went out of the area for 1 day to visit the local school, the rest of the time was reading, swimming, watching the local fishermen in their dugouts, and watching the wonderful wildlife - idylic !
Peter and Mani were the perfect hosts, always on tap when necessary, very professional and very personable, we left as good friends.

While any place on Diani Beach is guaranteed to be beautiful, I was absolutely blown away by the service at Pintadera. The managers were the absolute friendliest...going out of their way to meet us at the airport (even though we had rented our own car and they had sent us directions to the house) and helping us arrange tour activities. The house staff was also amazing. I highly recommend getting three meals a day. Nothing in town could compare with the taste, the convenience, the price, or the huge smiles that come with the food when served. Overall, Pintadera allowed my mom and I to have a perfectly relaxed vacation -- thank you!
