Welcome Retreat provides a 3 Bedroom, 2.25 Ba. luxury home, where family and friends may enjoy visiting together in the many spacious living areas--the circular living room, the downstairs sun room or the upstairs conservatory sun room.;

Welcome Retreat sits on a bluff overlooking the panoramic sweep of the ocean waves breaking on the over a mile of sandy beach protected by dunes. On a weekend you will see surfers, windsurfers, and kite boarders mastering the waves. Across the ocean inlet stands the long peninsula Pt. Reyes National Park where herds of tule elk roam.

We consider Welcome Retreat a gift of God which we delight in sh...aring with those who come to enjoy it. It provides a place of serenity, peace, joy, laughter, fun, sharing with family and friends, or a place to cozy up with a book around the fireplace.

The large master bedroom upstairs with its own bathroom and king sized bed provides great rest with Tempurpedic mattress. The upstairs sunroom off the Master Bedroom with its own bath allows for private extra sleeping space on 2 queen sized futons. Separate living spaces allow individual down-time when families share accommodations together. Each of the downstairs bedrooms has a queen sized bed.

The large Circular living room and couch provides a great place for families to visit. The kitchen is very well equipped. Every living space has an ocean view. There is a separate dining room off the kitchen with a large table. Or, eat in the downstairs sunroom with ocean and beach surrounding and the view of the national park.Read more

Additional notes from owner

The normal cleaning charge is $125 if you are a group of 7 or less.

For groups of 8 or more, the cleaning rate is $150 per stay.

Renters need to bring towels. Linens and sheets are provided.

If you're from across country, we can arrange towels for you! The use and cleaning of our towels is an additional $25, unless you are already paying $150 for cleaning.

Prices include the 10% tax paid to Marin County.

A security deposit of $200 is needed for the reservation--to be returned if all is OK after owner receives keys back.

If you need to use credit cards you may do so through Paypal, but Welcome Retreat will add a 3% charge to cover the transaction cost., PayPal may be used for free to cover payment from your own PayPal account using your linked checking account.

  We were all very pleased with the comfort of this home. Beautiful views, easy walk to beach, and so comfortable and spacious for our entire family. We weren't ready to leave when our weekend was over! We look forward to our next stay here. Definitely recommend staying here!

  Everything we hoped for

  We need a place big enough for 5 of us, too diverse in age and gender to share unless absolutely necessary. This house was perfect. The views are amazing, even through the fog and words can't describe the rest you get, falling asleep every night with the sound of the ocean to rock you to sleep. Only one word of warning for
  those coming from urban areas. There is zero cell phone coverage in this area! The house has WiFi so we could get directions and information before we left and when we returned and we quickly adapted, but do not expect to text your friends about how wonderful the place is. The older kids were dumbfounded when they discovered this as we were driving in but the view and the twin fauns jumping through the ice plant completely distracted them. My only regret is that we couln't stay longer but next time...

  Our extended family of 9 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Welcome Retreat. The view of the beach and ocean from the expansive windows is amazing. The family room easily accommodated the whole group and the kitchen was perfect for preparing meals. The owner Russ was great to deal with and we highly recommend this rental home!
