Sydney, AustraliaFantastic location and surroundings
Left on 06/24/2012 for a stay in May 2012
Stayed in the 1 bedroom Ker Vivianne for 4 nights. A great little self contained hideaway located in an old world environment, on a steep cobbled laneway connecting the beautiful old Dinan Port (2 minutes walk) to the old walled town of Dinan (5 minutes walk) – great location. At first the lane looks daunting to drive up, but is much easier than it looks. The gite is adequate without being sumptuous, but has everything you need, including a washing machine!!! Parking is a secure, easy access garage, about 7 minutes walk away (you can drive to gite to drop bags).
The buildings, shops and countryside are just lovely and Wendy was very helpful in greeting and briefing us – and available for any problems (we had none). The upstairs 2 bedroom area is similarly appointed, with more space and a small external garden area. Probably not suitable for small children because of the stairs.
Would stay there again. -

We stayed eight nights in Ker Viviane,a very quaint
small gite within minutes walk to fabulous cafes,art/craft shops and walks around the scenic river port.A shortwalk took us in many directions to the town centre, the historic walls and the cheap bus service to take us to other villages to explore
Our hosts Wendy and Peter could not have done more for us,a welcoming gift basket full off local treats and the phonecalls answering our questions even from New Zealand made our stay here very easy.Wendy picked us up from the bus station and dropped us off at the airport when we were leaving reluctantly.
The gite had all you needed to make a meal, relax and feel at home.If we are lucky enough to go to Brittany again we would choose the larger 2 bedroomed apartment they have upstairs which is roomier and alot more sun and light coming in from the little garden and balcony to enjoy and our bliss would be complete.
We loved Dinan, and with our hosts hospitality,a very beautiful, relaxing and interesting place to have a holiday. -

I thoroughly enjoyed my mid-winter six week stay at Ker Viviane (A001). It was cozy, well equipped and on an historic street in wonderful old Dinan. The owners were a delight to deal with. It was a perfect size for me as it wasn't just a place for me to sleep but might be a bit small for a couple.

Sydney, AustraliaGorgeous Gite, Great Location, Charming & Helpful Hosts
Left on 04/17/2011 for a stay in December 2010
Two weeks in Dinan & our second stay in this gite in a year!
This time we were there for the Xmas/New Year period. A magical time in a magical town!
We had a car & were able to explore the beautiful coast from Cherbourg to Mont St-Michel, St-Malo & Paimpol from this base. The car was useful for supermarket-based self catering as well.
Although the weather was cold, the gite was very cosy & comfortable. If you have a car, the lock up garage is a great plus.
Dinan has lots of great restaurants, patisseries & boutiques. Our hosts were very helpful & fluent in English/French. They had excellent suggestions for excursions & dining. -

Comox, BC CanadaVacation of a Lifetime!
Left on 04/14/2011 for a stay in May 2009
This was undoubtedly the very best true "vacation" we have had!!! It was in a fairy-tale town, on a fairy-tale street, in a fairy-tale gite! There was so much to see & do that we were gone every single day in the three week stay. Our gite was absolutely perfect (clean & complete with everything you could want) & the host/hostess were so helpful - even met us at the train station & drove us back! We were so grateful for all their kindness to us. They suggested all kinds of things to do (I think we did them all!!!). We would go back in a minute!

Frankfurt am Main, GermanyAn interesting week in a cosy place
Left on 04/07/2011 for a stay in September 2009
We spent a most interesting week exploring the area around Dinan and St. Malo. Dinan is perfectly located for such ventures in north-east Brittanny. Of course, the town itself is worth an extensive visit - and one should not miss the market and the nice boutiques around.
Only a few paces away from the flat, sea food lovers will find the definitely best restaurant for this taste in town. Afterwards, a romantic stroll along the old harbour ... unsurpassed.
The only reason not to recoomend this place is the fear to find it occupied the next time we want to come back ! -

Pittsburgh, PA - USAWonderful week in Brittany
Left on 04/04/2011 for a stay in February 2009
We stayed for a week at this apartment in Dinan and had a wonderful time. We spent a few days exploring Dinan (mostly on foot) and the apartment is well located for this. There are a number of wonderful restaurants within a few minutes walk and a beautiful river that we walked along as well. Dinan is a great location to jump off and explore more of Brittany. We visited Saint-Malo, Dinard, Cap Frehel, and Mont Saint Michel on day trips.
The apartment was great with all the necessary amenities to cook for ourselves, though we often chose to eat out at one of the nearby restaurants. Free on-street parking was available a few minutes walk away.
We would love to visit again!
