Vancouver, CanadaFun and comfort in Dinan
Left on 04/20/2011 for a stay in September 2010
I stayed at the gite for a week in mid-September. It was a good time to be in Brittany with all the attractions being open, but far fewer tourists than in the summer. Wendy was welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. There were only two of us, so there was more space than we needed - a family could definitely stay here quite comfortably. The gite was clean and the kitchen was well equipped which allowed us to make our own meals, but there are some great restaurants and bakeries close by. Dinan is a nice little town and we felt it was a great place to spend a week - we had time to relax but also to do some exploring. Overall, a great stay. And, on our departure, Wendy gave us (and our luggage) a ride to the train station which was above and beyond our expectations.

LudlowExcellent location, beautiful mediaeval house.
Left on 04/10/2011 for a stay in July 2010
Lovely authentic mediaeval house in prime location in the old part of Dinan. We felt as if we were in a living museum - it was really memorable. Sweet little courtyard for evening drinks in the sun completed the excellent experience.

Title says it all. We spent two lovely weeks in Dinan in a daze of idyll and happiness. Location couldn't be beaten, virtually in the centre of the town, close to all amenities. House was characterful and comfortable and the welcome from our hosts was welcoming and unfussy. Dinan is an excellent location as a base for touring and sightseeing, but it is also a great place for doing nothing and just watching the world go by. The only way to find out is to go and find out for yourself. As regards negatives, the only one was having to leave!
