      Freezing , 2 star cottage

Left on 03/20/2013 for a stay in March 2013

party of 6, 2 over 70 and 2 under 5. Totally not suitable for a winter stay. It was Freezing..fine breeze in all the windows..downstairs bathroom was freezing, there was a shower downstairs but never used as it was simply too cold for use. Very difficult to open sliding door, front door constantly sticking when opening the locks.. Location very good with lots of parking etc, but I so would not recommend for a family in winter time. I would also seriously question the 4-star rating , surely this is a 3 star if not a 2 star.

We really are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay at Dingle Harbour Cottages as a result of the cottage not being warm enough. The cottages are regularly used in Winter time and we do turn heating on prior to visitors’ arrival. Storage heaters are also left on in winter whenever the cottages are unoccupied. However we are experiencing a particularly cold spell and we really are sorry that you were uncomfortable as a result of the heating not being sufficiently adequate.

      Never wanted to leave

Left on 02/15/2013 for a stay in May 2012

I stayed here in May of 2012 as part of a school trip--Cottage 14--Green Door. Life was so good in that little cottage with my friends. It had the most beautiful view of the harbour. Anytime I could I would just sit in my window (which was upstairs) and look at the view.
The cottage had everything we needed, we had plenty of dinner parties there! The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. It felt just like home.
The only thing I would say that needed updated was the washer/dryer in our cottage but some of the others seemed up to date.
I want to go back to Dingle someday and I will definitely stay here!!!

      The place to be!

Left on 06/16/2012 for a stay in June 2012

We stayed here for a week at the beginning of June 2012 and had a fantastic time. Not only is the location really good (stunning view of Dingle Bay) but the cottage we stayed in had everything - Dishwasher, washing machine, dryer,TV,outside washing line (Irish optimism;)) and super comfortable beds, but the ultimate plus was the fireplace, which dried us up from the Irish rain.;)It was clean and well taken care of.There is lots of space for parking in front of the cottages and it's a 5min walk to the Dingle aquarium, the nearest pub (1 of so many in Dingle) and shops. We can highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Dingle and we'll be back before long...

We are really delighted here in Trident Holiday Homes that you had such a good holiday and you found Dingle Harbour Cottages were a good accommodation base. And it sounds like the Irish rain did not deter you from your enjoyment!

      Wonderful family holiday!

Left on 06/12/2012 for a stay in March 2012

Great location - lovely cottage with 3 x bedrooms within a 5-minute walk of Dingle town.
Lots of space for kids to run around and burn off their energy and make friends with children from other holiday homes. Will definitely return - best location in Dingle for space and access to the town centre. Best holiday we had in years! We went deep sea fishing and caught over 20 mackerel (my son thinks he's the best fisherman ever - great fishermen - they parked the boat over a shoal of mackerel). The skipper kindly filleted the fish quickly and expertly when we returned to shore and they were delicious cooked simply in Kerrygold butter!

The acquarium was wonderful for the family - who knew that stingrays could be so curious - they reach out and touch you when you put your hand in the water!
My son got to pick up a live crab - he was thrilled!

We went horse-riding over the hills of Dingle with breathtaking views of the harbour - great horses even for a couch potato:)

We were spoiled for choice when it came to eating out but our personal favourite was the Chart House - delicious food in a wonderful location with the friendliest staff:)
      Can't wait to return:)

      Great views

Left on 04/02/2012 for a stay in March 2012

The cottages are high on a hill overlooking Dingle so there is a view of the town and the harbour from some of them. They are together in a courtyard, with parking adjacent and plenty of space around them.
They are modern units, with polished wood floors. On our arrival we had to turn on the heating so the first night was cold, but during the rest of the visit we managed to keep warm by regulating the times the system was turned on.
There is a washing machine and dryer; the only problem we had with these appliances was with the dryer, but we rang the contact number and it was explained that the dryers had a tank to collect the water removed from clothes and this needed to be emptied very frequently. Unfortunately this information was not on the instruction sheet, but I added it for the next guest.
The cottage was clean and the beds were comfortable. One odd thing was that while the brochure in the cottage spoke of a "welcome pack" there was absolutely nothing left for us, not even washing up liquid or soap.

Good location but badly needs updating

Left on 09/20/2011 for a stay in August 2011

We stayed in Dingle harbour cottages for one week in aug 11. The cottages are rated 4star but are at best a 2star. The location of the cottages are really good (couple of mins walk to town) and they are very spacious inside but we were V disappointed with the overall standard - the cottages are v old fashioned, need a lot of work & TLC to be considered a 4 star.. disappointing stay.
