San FranciscoA great trip, and beautiful people!
Left on 05/10/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We came to Jamaica to attend a wedding, and our stay at Beau Jardin was among many happy experiences we had.
A lovely, quiet and comfortable house, with a very clean, and not overly chlorinated pool, was a joy to play, and cool off in.
But the greatest joy in the home, was Racquel, who took care of us above and beyond her duties. What a lovely young woman, who, I am delighted to say, gave birth to a beautiful little girl while we were there, and still managed to give her all.
If ever we come back to Jamaica, we will call here first to check for availability. -

TorontoBeau Jardin - OK but won't stay again...
Left on 01/05/2013 for a stay in December 2012
During our trip we stay and villas in Kingston and Port antonio. Beau Jardin was a good location, the grounds are lovely and the home spacious. There are many fruit trees and the satellite tv helps to pass the time.
We left a day early as we found it difficult to deal with no hot water 3 nights in a row. There is a water tank, but the timer gave us hot water early in the morning and none at night when we needed it. We did complain but we were told that this is how it is and can't be adjusted.
We also encountered many many ants and lizards. We expected some due to the location and the many trees, but there were everywhere and in everything. We also advised the house keeper and she told us to purchase moth balls and ant spray, which we did but to no avail.
Our biggest challenge was the roaches and mice. I killed a few roaches but packed once I saw the mice.
When the helper was advised she explained that she never saw them as she is not there at night.
In general, the house is nice but in need of some updating.
I would not stay again or recommend to family or friends. -

The location and facilities within the Villa were exceptional. Just a few minutes from Discovery Bay and not too far from Montego Bay airport & Ocho Rios. The fruit trees were a bonus; Mangoes, Pomegranate & June Plums to name a few. We settled by the swimming pool and soaked up the sun. In the evenings we watched TV (Satelite) and even the odd DVD from the collection available. The internet access enabled contact with the family back home to ensure we could make them suitably jealous.
We frequented the local Jerk Centre (Scotties) just 5 minutes away and enjoyed a good meal with an postacrd view of the setting sun over the bay from an elivated position. I have already recommended this villa to others and look forward to making a return visit when can arrange it. -

I stayed in the Villa in May, it was fantastic! The service was great and the home was beautiful, situated on a lovely and spacious plot of land. My favorite part of was the swimming pool, a very relaxing place to swim and sunbathe.
The villa was located in a great area, minutes away from beaches, restaurants, and horse-back riding trails. The property was beautifully furnished. This Beau Jardin Villa in Discovery Bay is a great place to stay for a stress-free vacation.

New JerseyQuiet Town!
Left on 04/24/2012 for a stay in April 2012
We stayed @ Beau Jardin 4/2012, it was my husband our adult son & daughter, our 11yr old & 5 yr old grandson. Our flight was delayed unfortunately we had to drive from Kingston to the house @ night thru those dark moutains what a nightmare, it took us 4 hrs. We speciafically rented this house because there are no pets. Imagine my horror when we pulled into driveway & there were 2 dogs loose barking @ us & 1 tied up in backyard. I am petrified of dogs! I started crying & wouldnt get out of the van.Racquel chased 2 strays away & said she would take the one in backyard the following morning which she did. However the 2 strays kept coming back & my husband or son would chase them away. We loved the house it was spacious enough for all of us, the only other complaint would be they need a coffee maker, & a safe. The power went out couple of times. We all enjoyed the pool but unfortunately for me i was not able to really relax with the constant worry or dogs returning. Raquel is a great housekeeper & cook. She cooked the most delicious dinner even setting table for us, she was great! We went to Dunns River& enjoyed the day there, but had a difficult time exiting thru a lot of aggressive vendors. We also drove to Ricks Cafe over 2 hr drive. My 2 sons & husband jumped. The men attending jump area are very demanding for tips so beware, they will flip for tip & if you take a photo you must tip them even if you didnt agree to it! We went to Bengal beach it was ok, they have rafting, jet skies & boats for rent. We also went to Mahogany beach in ocho rios it was nice there good snorkeling, beach chairs for rent, there also a hut with souveniers.

Thank you for letting us know how you felt about your visit, your comments will be taken on board regarding the coffee maker and safe.
As it is typical for the electric power to fail, we do have a generator installed for use.
We are currently looking at the issue of stray dogs and plan to ensure that this will not be a problem in future.
With kind regards -

The service was excellent. The manager was highly accessible. The home was very comfortable and functional. location strategic and very peaceful. The no restriction of guests was very refreshing. Friends and family visited and we all had fun. The children and adults enjoyed the pool and the private beach.
We found a path way which leads to an awesome beach, not suitable for bathing but very suitable and romantic for pinics and relaxation, even meditation exercises.

London, EnglandOn holiday and feeling 'at home' in Jamaica
Left on 07/08/2010 for a stay in March 2009
I went to Jamaica to celebrate my Big birthday and stayed at Beau Jardin for a few days while travelling around the island. The villa is ideally located for visiting the tourist attractions in the area and at the same time staying in touch with the local people. The property is spacious and clean and each room is very tastefully furnished in its own individual style. The garden is lush and full of colour and is big enough to accommodate a good size swimming pool that is inviting even to a non-swimmer like myself. The service we received was excellent and we were made to feel very much at home. I would definately recommend Beau Jardin to anyone visiting Jamaica.

The villa is exceptionally clean, bright and
tastefully decorated providing a warm and homely
feeling. The service provided by the housekeeper
her friendly attitude and knowledge of the area
when deciding on places of interest to visit was an
added bonus.
I enjoyed the privacy of the villa whilst not being
in the hub of all the activities it is ideally
place to provide peace and tranquility without
feeling isolated. I would say a car is a must for
getting to and from the local shops.
I would most definitely recommend it as the ideal
place to stay for a family. -

London, EnglandFantastic! Same time, same place next year.

Great location.
Thoroughly enjoyed wandering in the beautiful gardens (the obvious, justified, reason for its name) and cooling off in the pool or sunbathing beside it, with my iced drink.
The house itself is bright and airy and felt like home from home, I also enjoyed delicious home cooked local dishes along with the variety of fruit from the garden itself or from the local vendors.
Oh yes, the only pitiful negative I can point out, if I were to nitpick: A few ants and mosquitos initially, but hey... part of the territory and happily, soon easily dealt with.
Visited great tourist attractions within an easy drive and walked across the road and spent time meandering along the beach.
Fantastic is the word for it. Will definitely make it a regular holiday destination.
Thanx a lot.
