Description from the owner
An utterly unsurpassed luxury Suffolk bed and breakfast with optional diiner, by request, retreat in which everyone can relax and be assured of their own space in beautiful surroundings - The Old Rectory in Hopton is unforgottable, This lovely Grade II listed timber framed building dates from the 16th century and behind its symmetrical Georgian façade, lie high quality furniture and furnishings which are in keeping with the times when the occupants of rectories were the younger sons of the landed gentry. It is said that people get the governments they deserve. Stretching this analogy beyond logical extension, "The Old Rectory" in the quiet village of Hopton delivers far more than guests have a right to expect.
Where else is elegant & comfortable accommodation, accompanied by friendly but unobtrusive hospitality & excellent food available at such a reasonable price? Trus value for money is a keynote to the deserved success of the facilities provided by hosts, Sarah & Bobby Llewellyn.
Afternoon tea with delicious, homemade cake in the snug, early evening drinks in the tastefully furnished lounge, around a blazing log fire in cold weather, and the warm but far from irritating welcome of the two, loveable canine members of the household are all additional bonuses.
But don't take our word for it, even though we have made 7 visits in the past 5 years - put it to the test yourselves; you will not be disappointed.Response from Robert Llewellyn - 08/10/2011
