Description from the owner
A stone's trow from the castell of Doria in the heard of the medieval town of Dolceacqua you can find the B&B; Talking Stones. The house, buildet from stones of the near river, was complete restored in 2005 .By bringing the modern facilitys in the old house without disturbing the beauty of the old building we used biologica material as much we could. On the large roof terrace you can have a overview to the valley , the ligurian Alps and the medieval citty and the castell of Doria.
We have a room with bath and super confortable kIngsize bed. The sleepingsofa is for 2 cildren.
The second room with bath is a verry confortable double...Read more

from PALENA... e le pietre raccontano ...
Left on 03/10/2013 for a stay in March 2013

Traveling without plans, we found our way to Talking Stones when we asked, Mario, the operator of a small pizzeria for directions to a B&B.; Very tastefully restored home in medevil city, with all the latest in plumbing and lighting fixtures. Owner operator is pleasant. In sum, very nice and reasonably priced.

Comfy, lovely, unusual, homy, perfect bed & breakfast for a great weekend with friends or your lover. Monika welcomes you simply and with a great attention to details. She speaks english, italian, german, and "franglish" if necessary. Her breakfast rocks! We also liked the lovely and comfy rooms(different sizes, completely redone bathrooms, arched walls made of old stones). A great place we look forward to rediscover this summer :-)

This is a great bed and breakfast situated in a small community. Monika is a friendly and helpful host. What got my attention about this B&B; were the unique looking rooms. They are little stone alcoves rather then the standard 4 corner square rooms. The room was clean and fresh. The view from the terrace is great and Im sure would be even better in warmer weather. The breakfast was european just like my great grandparents used to have - fresh bread, deli meat and cheese, and hot & cold beverages...was more then enough to start you off for a day of exploring.
The location, is very central. The hardest part was finding parking which would be the case for any type of stay in this little town of Dolceacqua. In all I would stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone passing through Italy!
