Description from the owner
The B&B; Melloni Street is located in Dolo, in the province of Venice. Dolo is in the middle of the “Riviera del Brenta” and therefore it is really easy to reach the near cities of Padua and Venice, which are about 20 km far from Dolo.
At the same time, the tourist can go by car, by bike or simply on foot, and visit the historic houses of 18th and 19th century that overlook the “Riviera del Brenta”: a really famous area for its artistic and architectural heritage and well-known for important events like the Marathon of Venice and the village festival of flowers, “Riviera Fiorita”.

We spent 3 nights in Michele and Laura's beatiful B&B.; What a wonderful time we had - it's one of the best memories from our 6 week holiday with our parents. Michele & Laura's hospitality is second to none. They are lovely people who can speak good English and they welcome you into their home with open arms. They are the epitome of what you would expect from warm loving Italian hosts!! We will definitely stay with them again. Likewise we have offered our home for them to stay in (and we don't even have a B&B;) should they ever be travelling in QLD, Australia. We enjoyed our star with them so much we have already recommended this B&B; to many of our friends.

This B&B; is an excellent location for those who are driving in and around the area. It was easy to find, and there is plenty of parking at their facility and locally as well. Their facility is beautifully appointed with comfortable beds and pillows, a rarity in Europe! The owners are warm and kind, and full of info about the area, as they grew up here. The breakfast is typical Italian fare of muffins, cake etc. and of course espresso. Laura baked a wonderful "torta del nonna" one morning that was unbelievable. The kitchen is cozy and functional, with plenty of dining space for a family or couples. The bathrooms are nicely appointed, and the twin-bed room has a large sink/vanity area with make up mirror, and bathtub.
The train station in Mira is only a five minute drive, with free, safe parking. Your host Michele will provide tickets for you, and then you can purchase replacements in Venice, The train only cost 2E one way into Venice, and only took about 20 minutes.
Dolo itself is charming and worth spending some time strolling the riverside promenade and exploring the shops and piazzas. We ate at al Christo, a popular local pizza/trattoria on the riverside. The food was fantastic!
If you are looking for a romantic get-away, this may not be the place for you because of the close quarters of the rooms, as they are all in the same hallway and share a common wall. But, I think this B&B; is a wonderful value for the area. I also appreciated the fact that they provided us with a family discount since we had 2 rooms between our family. -

In viaggio in moto verso il Friuli,abbiamo deciso di fare tappa a Dolo. La scelta del B&B; l'abbiamo fatta a sensazione, visionando il sito (...e la foto di Laura e Michele). L'accoglienza e il soggiorno sono stati ottimi, anche se ci siamo fermati solo 1 notte. Il B&B; è nuovo, colorato, confortevole e collocato in un posto molto tranquillo.
Ottima anche la colazione con prodotti biologici. Noi abbiamo trovato di più di quanto ci potessimo aspettare. Grazie a Laura e a Michele per la sorpresa! -

Incantevole B&B;, curato nei particolari, in cui abbiamo soggiornato 3 notti. Noi avevamo 2 bambine e in una camera eravamo un pò stretti (ma Michele ci aveva onestamente avvertito che era la soluzione più economica, ma anche la più scomoda). La colazione abbondante e "à la carte", con deliziosa torta fatta da Laura la domenica mattina. Pulizia ottima soprattutto il bagno in camera. Laura e Michele, gentili e non invadenti, simpatici e cordiali. Per gli amanti dei cani c'è il Grande (in tutti i sensi) Spank! Insomma consigliatissimo!
