My family and I decided to have a sort of mid-year reunion and we wanted to stay somewhere that accommodated a big family and that was somewhere in the mountains. We happened upon several choices, but we decided on this cabin for several reasons and we are glad we did. We talked with Barb (who was very cheery and informative) and she filled us in on the family history of the house, the description of the elk (that we can now confirm "are seen daily") and the peacefulness. After hearing that we felt it would be the perfect place for our family to meet and stay for the week. There were a total of 14 of us (9 adults and 5 kids) and having the 4 bathrooms was a real treat. We went on some amazing hikes and the river was a bit too cold to swim in, but we did get in up to our ankles :) We would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to enjoy some beautiful scenery, relax, and create some fun memories (we had many laughs playing some of the board games they had there)! As an added note: The place is located about 30 min. from the nearest grocery store so make sure you get your food and supplies before you get there, unless you plan on going back into town.
