An amazing stay at Wildberry Cottage in a beautiful country!

Left on 07/09/2012 for a stay in June 2012

One always hears how green Ireland is and how wonderful and kind the people of Ireland are, however, until you go there yourself you can't imagine that it is even more beautiful than expected. We loved our stay at Wildberry Cottage it had everything you could want and Frank & Marian Sheedy made it extra special for us, so friendly and kind. The location of the house is perfect overlooking the sea to the aran Island and to the left are the Cliffs of Maher. Looking out each morning we would be delighted by the surroundings of the sea, the hills, and sheep, and cows. Any every morning as we left to explore the area and every evening we were always greeted by the donkeys...they were so cute. We had a wonderful dinner at Frank & Marian's Roadford Restaurant, which was excellent and the Thai Seafood Soup is to die for (Not something that one would normally think that you would get in Ireland but Frank is a Master Chef after all. It was the best cottage that we stayed in while in Ireland.

Our neighbors! Right by our cottage!

      We Found Paradise.

Left on 06/28/2012 for a stay in June 2012

If you are looking for a magical view of the atlantic Ocean, amid the cattle and horse-grazing green pastures of the Irish countryside, it's here. Wildberry Cottage is a beautifully appointed, clean, and well-kept cottage that sleeps 7-8 people, located 8 minutes outside of Doolin. Marian and Frank Sheedy, the owners, were excellent to work with and we had a superb birthday dinner for our son at their Roadside Restaurant in Doolin, where Frank is the master chef. We could not have been happier with our stay there and hope to be able to return in the not-too-distant future. We have all fallen in love with Ireland, and with this part of the country in particular.

      Awesome

Left on 06/14/2012 for a stay in June 2012

The Sheedys greet you with their home made Irish bread, jam and scones, mmm, their Irish hospitality is great. The panoramic ocean views from Wildberry were absolutely stunning, the cottage itself is gorgeous, very clean and had everything you might want or need, including wireless internet and a cell phone. The view straight ahead from the cottage to the aran Islands was just fantastic and walking early in the morning was exhillerating. It's a lovely setting, close enough to the Doolin pubs and the music was awesome!! Staying at Wildberry Cottage was great, a real home from home!! The Roadhouse restaurant for dinner was out of this world, Yum! We recommend a trip to Doolin just for that. Thank you Frank and Marian and hopefully we will see you again in the not too distant future!!

      Beautiful cottage with stunning views

Left on 06/14/2012 for a stay in March 2012

We stayed in Marian and Franks cottage in march 2012 with our three small boys. The cottage is beautifully decorated and has everything you could possibly need. There are Lots of lovely nooks and crannys. Marian and frank are both extremely nice and helpful. Marian even organised us a local babysitter so we could have a night out! We ate at their restaurant which I can highly recommend.
There are loads of things to see in the surrounding area but you definitely need a car. I would highly recommend this house. We all loved it and plan that we will go back in the future.

The Best of all Worlds - Amazing views, fantastic house and grac

Left on 06/09/2012 for a stay in May 2012

We have traveled to Ireland several times and been all over the country, but there is no place we would rather stay than Wildberry Cottage. Further there are no more gracious hosts than Frank and Marian Sheedy!! They have wonderful taste, the property was spotless, they offer tremendous value and they are always willing to help make your trip the best it can be. They meet you with fresh scones and Irish bread with jam and that is just the beginning of their Irish hospitality. Add to that, they also run an award winning restaurant, the best we ate at in Ireland and the panoramic ocean views from Wildberry were absolutely stunning. On a clear day, if you look to the left you see the Cliffs of Moher, straight ahead the aran Islands, and to the right the Burren. It's a lovely setting, close enough to the Doolin pubs to make coming home late very easy, but far enough that you feel in another world. Less than a 10 minute drive. You can't go wrong staying at Wildberry Cottage, missing the Sheedy's already and planning our return trip.

      Foolin in Doolin

Left on 05/25/2012 for a stay in September 2011

We found the Wild Berry Cottage a very well equiped immaculate rental home in Co. Clare. There is wi-fi, wood burning stove for chilly nights, fully equuiped kitchen and laundry room, two Connemara ponies (visiting for trimming down the lawn), beautiful view of the atlantic and Burren. We found that the location was close to all sights and many wonderful small Irish towns. This is the second time we have rented Wildberry Cottage and are looking forward to the next time we can visait Doolin and stay here.

Wildberry is a wonderful home. The rooms are spacious and well furnished. The location, looking over Galway Bay and the aran Islands, along the green road of the Burren, is simply fantastic. The Sheedy family is wonderful. We have been going back each year and i can't wait to get back again!

      Wonderful

Left on 03/03/2012 for a stay in August 2011

As soon as we drove up to Wildberry Cottage we knew we had made the right choice-it is an idyllic little house situated on a quiet road overlooking the sea with the aran Islands in the distance. The house is simply lovely inside and out-elegant, clean, and comfortable, and well stocked with everything a family would need. Marian and Frank welcomed us with scones and brown bread and were extremely helpful throughout the stay. We used Wildberry Cottage as a base for exploring Clare, taking day trips to the islands and to Lahinch and Ballyvaughan and the ailwee Caves. Doolin is a small, friendly town with great pubs and nightlife-we drove into nearby Lahinch for grocery shopping and to go to the beach. My favorite memories of the trip are simply of being around Wildberry Cottage, watching the sunset from the windows and rambling around the green road. This is one of the most beautiful parts of Ireland and I highly recommend Wildberry Cottage as a place to stay. We will be going back (soon, I hope).

      A dream come true

Left on 03/02/2012 for a stay in September 2011

I had planned this trip for years; spent 3 weeks at Frank and Marian Sheedy's Wildberry Cottage after traveling from Dublin. When asked the question: "How was your trip?" all I can say is "a dream come true." The setting of this house literally brought tears to my daughter eyes: the Cliffs of Moher to the left, the atlantic Ocean and the aran Isles out front, and the Burren wrapping around the back of the house. I arrived alone, but at one point, there were 6 relatives there with me. The house is clean, cozy, yet large enough for us all to have our own space. The house is filled with comfortable furnishing, high end appliances, an outdoor barbecue area, and plenty of fire wood for the wood stove. Frank met me with bread and scones on my arrival; just a peak at the delights that awaited us when we dined at Frank and Marian's Doolin restaurant, Roadford House. I spent 3 weeks exploring the county and getting to know the people and customs of the area. Lots of my experiences were directed by Frank and Marian; their knowledge of what to do and where to go was invaluable. Rarely do I think of returning to a vacation spot; in this case, I'm already planning a return visit!
