“Wonderful cottage and location.” We have two young children and were looking for somewhere quiet, which could be a base for us to do days out from. This cottage was just wonderful. The fantastic picture window in the living room was a great feature, we loved watching the 'sheep races' in the evening in the field opposite. The facilities provided are of an excellent standard. We situation of the cottage is perfect for walks out, and trips out in the car to nearby attractions. We would not hesitate to recommend this cottage, we had a lovely holiday here.

“Beautiful and peaceful holiday” A lovely welcome tray (+eggs!) and flowers. Next door to owners, very friendly and who were exceedingly helpful to us as we suffered a family bereavement when we were there. The cottage was clean and very comfortable, as were the beds. Beautiful and very quiet area, lovely retreat, lots of country walks from the cottage. Near small towns and a303 if you wanted to go further afield. Best thing was beauty of countryside and cottage setting. least liked was low mobile phone signal!

RYECROSS FARM COTTAGE, with a garden in Shaftesbury, Ref 1113

Cann house

“A pleasant week in Dorset” Ryecross was a clean well;appointed and comfortable cottage with avery pleasant outlook over the Blackmoor Vale. We enjoyed our very much in the local area and beyond to the coast. It helped to have good weather, but the cottage was of such a standard that if we had to stay in all day it would have been equally enjoyable. The only minor complaint was the lack of a large frying pan. Instructions for the microwave would have been helpful.

“Comfort to an exceptionally high standard” Beautiful little country style cottage, ideal for couples. The reception pack we received was excellent - the contents of which were of a very high standard, icluding two small bottles of wine, which were very welcome. The locally sourced biscuits were superb. The cottage itself was finished to a very high specification and extemely comfortable. As with the rest of the cottage, the bedroom and furniture were quite luxurious.Although a road runs right outside the cottage, there was hardly any traffic to make it feel noisy or uncomfortable. The outlook from the bedroom window was indeed very pleasant, overlooking the tree lined road. The small kitchen was adequate enough to enable decent meals to be cooked for two people (although, the local pub, only 5 minutes walk away, served lovely meals) The general feel of the accomodation was very relaxed and welcoming. The owners made us feel welcome from day one and were available if we needed any assistance. The village itself was extremely nice, and I would say was a typical Dorset village - beautiful properties in a beautiful county. The cottage is ideally situated to enable you to visit just about any other location in Dorset and beyond, without too much hassle. There are no motorways in Dorset, so getting to some of the beautiful villages entails driving along country roads, which have beautiful scenery. There are plenty of places to visit, includinge the typically English village of Cerne abass, with the legendary Cerne abbass giant carved into the hillside.Lovely walking country. The highlight for us was a visit to abbotsbury sub tropical gardens - absolutely fantastic. Also not too far away is the famous Chesil Beach, which again was beautiful. What we liked best was the fact we were made to feel very welcome, not only by the owners but also the locals. A very friendly lot - and the local pub served some very decent real ales - highly recommended. We have recommended this cottage to friends, and we will definitely be back

“Don't judge this cottage by the picture” What a delightful cottage Brook Cottage is, a really relaxing and peaceful location. Whilst on a working farm of sorts my wife and our two dogs thoroughly enjoyed our stay. With walks on the doorstep and the delights of Dorset too, we were really hapy and satisfied. We asked the owner about the picture of this cottage, it was taken on a rainy day and we felt it let it down. If you stay here you'll relax and enjoy your stay.

ROWDENS BARN, pet-friendly, single-storey, woodburner, games room, Blandford
Wonderful cottage & allows dogs.

New in June 2014 we were among the first guests in this lovely complex of 6 barn conversions. Everything is tasteful and good quality. This property is ideal for those with limited mobility as even the entrance is level and parking is adjacent. The outside patio and small lawn are fully enclosed by a 3ft fence so were ideal for relaxed outdoor dining (& wining) with our pooches. Very highly recommended! see more
Ridge Farm Annexe
Gretels Secret

We wanted to go somewhere we had never been to, and Dorset fell into that category. We also tend to book late, so as to have a short lead time to departure. Usually we find litle gems of properties, and this one kept our run going! Madeline and Mark are new to the letting game, and it showed as the annexe was very well equipped throughout. They are also a lovely and interesting couple, which in our view adds to the holiday experience. Beds are comfy, plenty of crockery(including some nice china),and all the major items are brand new. The extensive gardens are a relaxing place to chill out in the Dorset sunshine, and the location of the property is great for getting round the county.see more

Perfect autumn treat

Pleasant and well-appointed ground floor flat in perfect location. Excellent shower and very comfortable bed especially appreciated. Lovely sea views and garden; small beach at the bottom of the road; level walk into Weymouth along converted railway line the Rodwell Trail a bonus. Loads of lovely walks in the area and plenty to do even out of season. We were also blessed with lovely weather in spite of it being November.see more
