Indian Rocks Beach, FLWhat a pleasure to stay at Pura Vida!
Left on 02/08/2013 for a stay in January 2013
We had an amazing time during our stay at Pura Vida! We truly felt at home, so much we hardly wanted to leave even though there is so much to see in Eleuthera. As soon as we drove up the driveway at Pura Vida we were in awe and then when we walked in the door the first thing we saw was the view of the turquoise ocean! Paradise! The home was spotless. The decor is lovely - tropical without overdoing it (I enjoyed the artwork in the home). The furnishings - high quality and comfortable. Anywhere you choose to sit or relax inside or out has a view of something beautiful. The hammock overlooking the beach could be the best spot though. The grounds are a tropical paradise! And we had the pink sand beach and turquoise water for miles all to ourselves. The kitchen has everything you could need and a charcoal and high-end gas grill outside. One day we caught snappers and grilled them up that night with fresh veggies including giant white sweet potatoes we bought down the road, yum! This was our second trip to Eleuthera. We really fell in love with the island on our first trip and even more so this time. We are excited about returning to Eleuthera and we would definitely like to return to stay at Pura Vida again...we were already planning our return before we even left! Thank you Steve and Cindy for sharing your beautiful home!!

What a beautiful house, on an equally beautiful island. We arrived to Pura Vida to find ourselves immediately smiling and relaxing. We loved the first class style of the house, the surroundings were beautiful, and the ocean view was amazing.

Dear Steve & Cindy:
wow! What a wonderful place in paradise you have created. You could not have chosen a more perfect location for Pura Vida. It is idyllic. The style and design you chose for the Villa fits right in and you have certainly maximized the space you have created. The open floor plan for kitchen, dining, and relaxing areas certainly enhances the fabulous ocean and beach views. We love the numerous cozy outdoor spaces you have created for viewing and relaxing. Your attention to detail and the myriad of personal touches are apparent everywhere. The kitchen design and culinary wares were far more than we had could ever have hoped for. We loved the double chaise in the secluded and cozy screened area just off the master bedroom overlooking the beach and ocean. Casual strolls and the views along the virtually private beach were the best.
My wife and I have been visiting the Bahamas Out Islands for more than 25 years, our fourth visit to Eleuthera, and we have yet to experience a rental villa as nice as Pura Vida. We found everything we need for a most relaxing and enjoyable vacation and you can be sure we will return. We felt very comfortable and right at home. Thanks for sharing your special place in paradise.

This was one of the best vacations my husband and I have ever had. The house was beautifully designed and decorated. The bedrooms and bathrooms were 1st class. Each bedroom has it's own screened porch. Loved the pink sand private beach and using the kayaks. Great large open living/dining and kitchen area. We all read, got plenty of exercise running and snorkelling. We also loved eating at Tippy's restaurant and purchasing the fresh bread and fruit from the local market.

Pura Vida is a lovely house on one of the best beaches on the island. The house itself is very well maintained, with high-quality furnishings and appliances. The owners leave you all the information you need whether you want to spend your time exploring the island or simply relax close to home. Just look at the pictures, describing this location could never do it justice. Highly recommended, I hope to return next year.

Left on 12/07/2010 for a stay in November 2010
Cindy & Steve really put a lot of thought into everything in their house ! The grounds are beautiful. Ever little piece of property is used perfectly . I love the small unique hidden areas you discover as you walk around the grounds. They even have a garden with tomato plants, basil,& peppers. There are lime trees and papaya trees, just to mention a few. And lets not forget the beach. It is beautiful!! You are so close to it if you wanted to you don't need to put your feet in the sand and you feel like you are on the beach. The inside of the house is amazing! The linens are top notch !The kitchen has everything you need and more. You can tell they thought of everything since they have an ice cream maker and bread maker. Seeing as ice cream is so expensive on the island. The screenrooms off the bedrooms were great ! Sometimes the noseeums are terrible. The house keeper needs to be applauded. This is the cleanest house I have stayed at on the island. This is not an easy task between the sand , salt, and bugs.I also love all the treasures that are found in every little nook inside the house. The artwork, shells,etc..
Cindy & Steve were wonderful to deal with. They always responded to my emails quickly. I love that the house has everything I might need from bandaids to snorkeling gear and floats to go Ten Bay with. This house is not a typical rental house, it is more like staying at a friends home!! Thanks again Cindy & Steve for sharing your home with me & my family. -

Steve and Cindy have done it. The care and detail of this home has great warmth and comfort. This is the most incredible traveling experience that we have had. We have been in many different parts of the world and stayed in some wonderful places. This is, by far, the best. The home is beautiful, current, colorful and exceptionally clean. The views were breathtaking and the beach was amazing and quiet. The breeze and weather were wonderful.
We explored the island in our little SUV and discovered fantastic people, stunning beaches, delicious restaurants and quaint villages. We walked, hiked, jogged and kayaked. The water was a little chilly for snorkeling. While kayaking we found ourselves among a playful group of dolphins.
Thank you again Steve and Cindy. We are definitely going back to the good life. Thanks for allowing us the opportunity. -

Left on 09/28/2010 for a stay in May 2010
My wife and I stayed at Pura Vida for our honeymoon in May. Our stay was perfect. Very private, and ultra comfortable house with one of the best views I have ever seen. The house had all the convienences of home, and the kitchen was very well appointed with nothing lacking. The view to the two keys and over the reef was phenomenal. We particuarly enjoyed the kayaks that come with the home. I did some fishing while there and managed to catch hamlet grouper, yellowtail snapper, triggerfish, and barracuda all right off the reef in front of the house from the kayak. We caught bonefish down in Tarpum Bay. Squid and land crabs work well! We enjoyed several meals and meeting with the locals at Tippys's. We had great service and excellent stories from the housekeeper. If you are considering a trip to the Bahamas I can't think of a better place to stay than Pura Vida!

Columbus, OH and Metz, FranceCan't say enough about Pura Vida, Eleuthera!
Left on 09/27/2010 for a stay in June 2010
Pura Vida was everything we could have hoped for in a rental property on Eleuthera. The villa was spectacular, a real paradise on Earth. Everything was in perfect working order, it was very clean, and the grounds were absolutely stunning. The local property manager was very friendly and fun to talk to (he has a contagious laugh)! We shared the property with my husband's family and cooked the best fresh grouper we've ever had (bought from the fishermen at Tarpum Bay) in the beautiful Pura Vida kitchen. One of our top criteria in choosing a rental property was the beach. I truly think we couldn't have selected a better location. We snorkeled right off the secluded beach (only saw a handful of people the entire trip) outside the property nearly every day (lot's of coral heads right there!). We saw so much spectacular wildlife: countless fish including lionfish, stingrays, a sea turtle, barracuda and even a couple sharks (only harmless nurse sharks!)! If you have an underwater video camera, bring it. Then, just across the island, about 5 minutes away, is Ten Bay beach. It's one of those bathtub beaches that are so incredibly still and beautiful it's surreal. It's shallow for quite a ways out, so it's great for complete relaxation and for small children trying out their snorkel gear. There are some great rock walls along the far edges that provide excellent snorkeling as well. These are just a few of the wonderful memories we have from our trip to Pura Vida. The only complaint, or course, is there was not enough time! It's obvious that the place is superbly managed by both the property owners and the local management team. When we return to Eleuthera, we will absolutely be staying at Pura Vida, so long as the owners see fit to continue sharing their little piece of paradise with people fortunate enough to visit the island. I feel that we were very lucky to discover this wonderful gem and would recommend it to anyone thinking about a trip to the Out Islands.
