Castle Guest House is situated just below 'Dover Castle' and the famous 'White Cliffs Of Dover'. The house is a Grade II listed building. We are very close to the Town Center, Port of Dover, Channel Tunnel and Cruise terminal. Pet Friendly, family friendly and Walker / Cyclist friendly. For the visitor we offer one of the most convenient positions within a Conservation Area of Dover where they can visit Dover Castle and the many other local heritage sites. Excellent breakfast served from 6.00 a.m. for those with an early start. On street parking only, and on request, we have a lock up garage for motorcycles and bicycles. Please remember to mention this when booking. There is free on street parking available nearby

Getting around

Getting around is easy, most sites in Dover are walk-able, we also have several bus routes to Folkestone, Ashford, Cantebury, Deal, Sandwich. The trains also go to these towns. It is aprox one hour by train to London St Pancreas station. There are also taxi cabs available.

Interaction with guest

Whilst we live here and are always available to assist, we do leave you to get on with your holiday and sight seeing. We are quite comfortable with guests accessing their rooms during the day if they are staying for several nights. We like you to treat our house as your home from home.

House rules

As we are a listed Georgian house we have a lot of narrow stairs (no lift) you might prefer to have a small overnight bag to carry up and store your heavy luggage in the ground floor office.

Response from the owner Thank you for your review, it was unfortunate that your two year old was disturbed by the traffic that night. As we discussed it was due to road works around the docks. We are unfortunately on a diversion route that is used occasionally and is, of course, outside of our control. We were surprised by the comment regarding the bed and carpet as we are usually complemented on our cleanliness and the comfort of our beds achieving a four to five star rating earning us an Excellence Award three years running on Trip Advisor.

We stayed for a night in april 2012. Excellent value for money. Perfect hosts. Fab breakfast. Well decorated large room with plenty of light. Good location. Would stay again.
