Located in a friendly and quiet neighbourhood. Allamanda Cottage resides on the south coast in Dover, within (10) ten minutes walk to Dover Beach and Maxwell Beach. For additional convenience a super market can be found 5 minutes away. A bus stop is just around the corner, where u can ride a bus or minibus to the capital of Bridgetown or to Oistins, where the famous fish market is held on Friday Night. It is also (10) ten minutes away from the famous St. Lawrence Gap with a wide range of Caribbean night life {bars restaurants and clubs}but still far enough from the cottage to avoid disturbance from any load music. Hey folks,
I know that this review comes a bit late but I need to tell you what wonderful holiday my boyfriend and I had on Barbados, especially on allamanda Cottage. When we arrived there was a very friendly pickup service who brought us to the Cottage. the Owner, Sabine, was already there and waiting for our arrive, so she gave us the keys and showed us the whole cottage. It was huge and the price was so damn okay. ;) You have a huge livingroom with sofas and an open full equipped kitchen right next to it. Stove, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, pots, pans, everything you need for daily use. Really everything. two bedrooms, each two beds can be zipped together as a queensize bed.Huge bathroom. And, a beautiful garden! When you come off the beach and just want to have a nap in the shadow, grap a chair and pack yourself under a palm or huge banana tree.
always access to washing machine in the back off the cottage. And if you need anything, Sabine lives right next to the Cottage. She even arranged a tour for us on a catamaran for snorkeling with the turtles.You only need five minutes to get to Dover beach or maxwell beach where ou can join the bajans doing sports and sometimes you can even watch them practising cricket. The cottage is in a quiet area but its only 50 metres away from the mainroad (but you Dont hear any noise) where all the eleven busses and mainbusses take you where ever you wanna go.
The supermarket is also just 5 minutes walk away, right next to maywell beach.
So, the cottage was beautiful, cosy and had everything we needed. You get access to highspeed wifi for free, you have aircondition, TV and lots more.
Sabine is such a nice person and if you are looking for a holiday to relax where you dont have any anger with the owner cause you just get everything you book, book her cottage. Its perfect. And we even arranged to come again this year.
I hope this review helps you to make the right choice, we will do again, definately.

The airport transfer was arranged for us by Sabine, which was as she stated. From the time we were picked up from the airport the service was excellent; the meet and greet was excellent and the hospitality was good.
The home was very well looked after, very clean and as it is on the internet. The cottage offered a home away from home, with wverything you needed. The beds were comfortable, etc.
The location is central to everything, buses, minivans, the beach, Oistins and the famous St. Lawrence Gap. everything is within walking distance.
I liked the the area because it was lovely, quiet and peaceful. The owner, Sabine was really welcoming, friendly and very helpful. I wish her all the best.
I really enjoyed my stay in Barbados and my stay at allamanda. I would definitely return here again and would recommend it to friends. -

Very nice location, walking distance to the sea, and just some minutes by mini-van to Bridgetown. Easy and friendly service provided, very flexible and welcoming. Pleasant and clean rooms.

I have nothing but great things to say about this location and about Sabine. I was looking for accommodations that were a bit out of the way in a quiet residential area and I wasn't disappointed. The cottage is very private and self contained. There is minimal service which keeps the price down. It was our home away from home, fully stocked with all the supplies we needed. Sabine was a great host - there when you needed her but not in our space. The use of a cell phone was a very handy feature. If you don't mind keeping house while on vacation, walking and/or taking local transportation this is a perfect location. The neighbours are friendly and everything you need is within a 1/2 hour walk (Beaches, Oistens, grocery stores, rum shacks etc. Thank you to Sabine for a wonderful stay - we will be back!!!

We had a great stay at allamanda. The cottage is ideally located in Dover, a 5 minute walk to the beach, restaurants and convenience stores. The cottage is delightful and Sabine provides a mobile phone with her contact numbers. Sabine organised a taxi to meet us on arrival and also for our return. We have stayed in Barbados many times and recommend the allamanda cottage. The cottage is well equiped and has a beautiful gargen with sun loungers, patio and parosols. We look forward to returning.

ich habe in diesem cottage schon ein paar mal meinen urlaub verbracht...preisleistungsverhältnis echt super...
fast alles ist zu fuĂź zuerreichen...z.b.strand...gap (wo die party abgeht)
falls ihr nicht zum strand wollt,dannn könnt ihr in dem wunderbaren garten verweilen...
einfach ausprobieren, dann könnt ihr euch eure eigene meinung bilden...
