    Additional Location Information

LOCATION: Driggs, Idaho, --in Teton Valley (Just Off Ski Hill Road, close to Grand Targhee and about 1 mile from the Wyoming state line). The house is on the outskirts of town, in an open area with no close neighbors. It is just 10 minutes from Grand Targhee Ski Resort, 30 miles from downtown Jackson, 30 miles from Jackson Hole Ski Resort, 30 miles to Grand Teton National Park, and about a 90 minute scenic drive from Yellowstone. The outdoor scenery and acitiviies are unmatched and readily-accessible from this convenient location.

Teton Valley, where Teton Valley Vista is located, is across the pass from Jackson, and both areas offer many activities for the family or adventurist. Also nearby is Grand Teton National Park, and a bit further is Yellowstone National Park. Teton Valley is called 'The best of both states' and is an amazing base from which to access hundreds of popular locations and activities. The hiking, biking, climbing, exploring, horseback riding, snowmobiling, skiing, wildlife viewing, white water rafting, fishing, spelunking, and other activities in the shadows of the Tetons guarantee an unmatched vacation experience.

DEEP POWDER: Grand Targhee is famous for their 500 annual inches of snow and the long ski season in some of the world's best powder. The house is just 30 miles from the historic western destination of Jackson, Wyoming, and Jackson Hole Ski Resort.

SNAKE RIVER has world-class fishing and white-water rafting. The many miles of bike trails attract bicyclists the world over. A bike trail is even adjacent to the rear of the Teton Valley Vista property. There are many popular activities in the National Parks--for example, in Grand Teton National Park, you can take a ferry across Jenny Lake, which is right in front of Grand Teton, and take the short hike up to the amazing "Hidden Falls". Teton Valley also has direct access to the nearby Teton Canyon and Darby Canyon, where trails lead to breathtaking views of the valley and the Tetons, or up to the famous "Wind Caves".

Fishing is fantastic, whitewater rafting and float trips are popular, wildlife viewing and hiking are unmatched, and the scenery is amazing.  For people who prefer city and historical west attractions, the town of Jackson is the place to be.

The Tetons themselves attract rock climbers and explorers from around the world. The stark rock faces rise from amidst the plains of Jackson Hole to create an awe-inspiring view from every perspective in the area.

Beautiful views, great location and star gazing from the hot tub

Left on 09/04/2012 for a stay in August 2012

My family of 15 spent 5 wonderful days at this home and found everything we needed to completely enjoy our stay. We had 11 adults, 2 preschoolers and 2 toddlers and we fit perfectly. The cribs and highchairs for our toddlers were terrific. There was plenty of space to "hide out" if you needed to. We found the towns of Driggs and Victor very cute and a great grocery store all close by. Then of course there is Teton National Park just a short drive away. Absolutely beautiful. The home had all the necessities like hair dryers and the laundry facilities came in handy. Because we were in town for my son's wedding we were quite busy, but we did get a chance to ride the bikes on the nice bike trail behind the house. All in all it was a great vacation.

Great place to stay with a large family.

Left on 08/12/2012 for a stay in July 2012

The house was very nice and large. It was very spacious and had very comfortable beds and sleeping arrangments. It is located on the edge of town and is in a quiet neighborhood. The lawn is large enough to play in and there is plenty of parking. The owners were also very good to work with and it was nice not having to go meet with someone to fill out papers and get the keys

      Amazing Vacation Place

Left on 01/22/2012 for a stay in June 2011

Our family, 10 adults and 6 children, stayed at this lovely new home in the summer. We absolutely loved the home and majestic surroundings! We plan to go back every year because of the very reasonable price, how clean and new it was, and how we all felt at home while we were there.

First of all, the house has many amenities that we never even thought to consider beforehand. Things like a grill, pots and pans, seasonings, cooking essentials, basically everything that you'd have at home. There was even a second kitchen downstairs. The bathrooms were fully supplied with everything you'd expect to see at a nice hotel, soaps, towels, shampoos, etc, and the whole house was immaculately cleaned. Each room has individual climate control, the four full bathrooms allowed us all to be able to use the bathroom or shower whenever needed (and never ran out of hot water!), the very large hottub was set outside on the deck with unbelievable views of the snowcapped mountain peaks, stars, etc., and it even had a cool gameroom downstairs with a professional foosball table! Also, it had high speed wireless internet, two tvs hooked up to cable, comfortable beds for everyone, two living rooms, and a garage where we could park our vehicles.

The surrounding area is absolutely incredible. This was the summer season, and there was just so much that you could do. We went hiking around a lake with a waterfall and beautiful mountain views, saw wildlife up close and personal including moose, elk, buffalo, antelope, and more, visited historic Jackson Wyoming, visited Yellowstone and Teton National park, and too much else to even mention. I hear that in the winter season they have world-class skiing as well just minutes from the house.

We've been on vacations in many diverse locations, and this was, by far, the best trip we've been on! It was so much better than staying at a hotel, which by the way, would have cost us significantly more than this house.

At Jenny Lake Right behind the house! Majestic moutain views everywhere! View of the mountain valley where the house is Where the deer and the antelope play!
