  Nice apartments - but don't stay here!!

  Dubai is a lovely place, and so was the apartment we stayed in (exact one featured in picture), however the managing company, My Stay Group, were woeful and very unhelpful.
  
  The apartment wasn't cleaned during our stay, fresh towels weren't provided, and bed sheets weren't changed as promised. There weren't even enough sun loungers on the beach, meaning a virtual free for all in the morning.
  
  All of this could be accepted, though mid way through our stay, Nakheel Properties, who own the apartment blocks decided to enforce a new rule that only the actual owners of the appartments were allowed to use the beach (to access the beach you need to pass through security points).
  
  All tenants holidaying in the apartments weren't then able to access the beach, and were given no warning whatssoever of this new agreement.
  
  Anyone who has been to Dubai will know that public beaches are hard to come by, so losing this benefit is a major major problem.
  
  The apartment and place is great, but if you want to lie on a beach - don't stay here as the matter isn't likely to be resolved quickly from what we were told. Book into a hotel or another apartment elsewhere..

  We regret the unforeseen circumstances related to beach access that were faced last week by ALL our guests staying at the Palm Shoreline Apartments.
  
  Nakheel, the master developer of this island, had previously issued a notice that on 1st December 2011 beach access would no longer be complimentary. We and all other holiday rental management companies were already in dialogue with Nakheel to come to a workable solution for all guests visiting the Palm. Without announcement on 17th November 2011 beach access was blocked, two weeks before the official date, and without any prior notice!
  
  We only became aware on that day once guests like yourselves faced the beach access issue and so immediately visited the Nakheel office. They were very unhelpful at this early stage and only required payment per guest per day to their new terms. We are still in talks with them but cannot comment on what will change and when, as things happen daily here as you may now appreciate. We are sorry you felt we were very unhelpful but assure you that after being caught out, just like yourselves, we were doing our utmost behind the scenes to try and resolve this matter in favour of all our guests.
  
  The main 2km open beach stretch at Jumeirah Beach/Dubai Marina is only a 5 minute drive from this location, however we are confident a workable solution will be in place very soon once all parties come to an agreement going forward. The Palm Island apartments and its private residents beach are ideal for a sun soaking holiday retreat and we are confident a fair solution to this new policy will be found soon.
  
  On checking our records cleaning services were provided as agreed, so we apologise if you feel that our standard was unacceptable on this occasion. The housekeeping team responsible for your stay has been notified of your dissatisfaction.
