My daughter and I stayed at the apt. for 10 days, for a first time to Ireland..Hit the nail
on the head, with our accommodations... Apt. clean and ready for us...Bernie was wonderful and guided us with info on our stay...The apartment is so close to the dart rail system. You get on and go to anywhere for your day excursions and then feel like your coming home. Taxi's are also readily available... There is a little food store in the apt. complex next door for quick needs...I would not use a rental car if you going over on your first visit...There is so many ways for you to get around a car is not needed..Everyone is so helpful..I would also highly recommend The Rail Trail train tours. They were awesome, we took day trips and toured south, west & east of Ireland...Great way to see Ireland with wonderful guides...It was my daughter's 21 birthday and what a wonderful way to celebrate...would do it all again...!!! Thanks Bernie... -

I couldn't fault the communication with the owner, she was very professional. The appartment itself however was a far cry from luxurious. On our arrival we discovered that, although the sheet had been taken off the bed, the duvet cover and pillow cases were still on, hairs and all. Fortunately there was a washer/drier so we managed to wash and dry the bedding before night time. There were also pieces of onion skin on the kitchen floor which led us to think that the flat just had not been cleaned between clients. The shower had a glass screen with no rubber seal along the bottom so that every time we had a shower the floor got flooded. The towels were awful, they were worse that the towels in a cheap B&B;, never mind a luxury appartment. And of course there is the minor detail of the building being about 20 yards from a main commuter train line, even with earplugs there was just no way we were going to get any sleep after about 5.30 every morning. Not somewhere I would be in a rush to return to.

Great little place out of the city. Good value. Compact, clean, modern, and secure. Only a couple of minutes walk to Portmarnock dart station. Regular trains to/from Dublin City approx. 20 mins away. Township of Malahide only 5 minutes away.

Left on 12/22/2010 for a stay in August 2010
My husband and I got married in august, and he was in charge of planning the honeymoon. We're pretty outdoorsy people who enjoy exploring cities more than lying on the beach, so Ireland seemed like an excellent, atypical honeymoon choice. (Translation: way less crowded than Cancun in august).
The whole trip was incredible, but this apartment was definitely one of the highlights. It was clean and spacious, with all the amenities you could possibly need in one week. Oh, and we're from the U.S., so disguising all the appliances (washer/dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher) as kitchen cabinets was a novelty for us -- and an efficient one, at that. There's plenty of warm water, clean towels and sheets, a comfy bed, a TV and a balcony where you can sit when the weather is nice (practically every day)
The manager is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, reliable and trustworthy. We arrived at the airport early in the morning, but she still arranged for someone to meet us at the apartment to hand off the keys. She also gave us great tips about where to exchange money, eat dinner and get train passes.
The apartment is actually just outside of Dublin, in Portmarnock, and it's a great little place to spend the day. It's quiet, and the apartment is a 10-20 minute walk from the beach. The apartment complex also sits directly across the street from the train station, where you can buy a daily pass for a few bucks, hop a train and ride to Dublin in less than 15 minutes.
I could go on and on, but I'm not sure if anyone is still with me here, so I'll just say that this was the best choice we could have possibly made for our trip. It was very reasonably priced, and we had a blast. We couldn't have asked for a better spot. I hope you get the chance to enjoy it too! -

We had a great stay here for 8 nights during the end of august. The apartment was perfect for us! It has a fully equipped kitchen and a washing machine which was a huge bonus for us. The location was good in the sense that we were out of the hustle and bustle but still so close to Malahide which had great places to eat and drink. And only a 20 minute train ride into the centre of Dublin, and with the train literally across the road it made it so much more convenient! The only problem with the apartment, was that we were right on the train line and it was very noisy at times, however the trains stop at 11.30pm and start at 6am, so it wasn't a huge issue. The owners are very friendly and they helped us with any questions we had not only about the apartment but some good places to see. Also for the price the apartment was much bigger, cleaner and more convenient than we expected.

Bozeman, MTGreat base for exploring Dublin and points North!
Left on 09/08/2010 for a stay in August 2010
My husband, daughter and I stayed here for 10 days in august. The apartment was nicely laid out, neat and clean. It is on the third floor (w/elevator) and there is a small balcony for sitting and enjoying the greenery. The apartment is directly across the street from the dart making it easy to go into Dublin, up to Malahide or other points North and South. A short walk west brings you to the coast road where you can also catch the bus to head up to a lovely beach just past the Portmarnock Hotel. We had no car so used the dart/bus exclusively. About a 15 minute walk up the coast road is a very small village where you can get a coffee in the morning or drink at night, otherwise, besides the beach, dining/sights are all a dart trip away. Malahide, just one stop North, is a lovely place to get coffee/lunch/dinner/pint. Malahide Castle is worth a visit and if you have kids you have to visit the Malahide Castle playground. All in all, it was a great base for our trip and we enjoyed having a quiet place to retreat to after a busy day.

Stayed here for 1 week with 2 adults and 2 young children. Great place to make a 'home base' for an extended stay in the Dublin area. Walking distance to the train into Dublin city center. The apartment was clean and safe. Great value for the money. Place to park a car and good location to see sights via car North of Dublin. The owner made us feel very welcome. I would recommend the apartment to friends and would stay here again.
