      Beste Unterkunft in Dublin.

Left on 04/28/2013 for a stay in March 2013

      Cozy home away from home

Left on 12/28/2012 for a stay in November 2012

Stayed here for a long weekend in November and absolutely loved it. Bernie was a dream - incredibly helpful and always accommodating. Botanic View is affordable, and is only a quick bus ride from the Dublin city center. If I return to Dublin (which I hope I can! Loved it!), I'll strongly consider staying at Botanic View again.

very pleasant place to stay, great value for your money

Left on 11/25/2012 for a stay in October 2012

I've spent almost one month in Botanic View B&B.; Both owners Bernadette and PJ are very nice, hospitable and willing to help you. Rooms are clean and well equipped, although quite cold - but I think it's not different anywhere else in Ireland. I like advantage of complimentary WiFi internet access. Unfortunately during "rush hours" in the evening there were often short-time connection difficulties. I appreciate location which is very quiet and still close to the bus stop (with fast connection to the city center) and basic shops (grocery, pubs, etc.) - maximum 10 minutes by walk.

I liked my stay here and I think this place gives you a great value for your money.

In case of visiting Dublin in the future I would definitely like to come here again.

Botanic View B&B; is located in a historic section of Dublin with easy access to City Center, the beautiful botanical gardens and a number of traditional Irish pubs. Bernie and PJ were very friendly and helpful hosts who made our family's stay much easier and much more enjoyable. The rooms were very clean and spacious and the full Irish breakfast every morning was delicious. When we return to Dublin in the future we plan to stay with Bernie and PJ again at the Botanic View B&B.; Dan & Donna

Warm welcome, comfortable rooms, convenient location and terrifi

Left on 07/02/2012 for a stay in June 2012

Our hostess, Bernie, could not have been more welcoming and helpful. She took loads of time getting us settled in and advising us on things to see and do in Dublin. The surrounding neighborhood has lots to offer too--from site seeing to dining--and was convenient to center city Dublin.

Our family room was a very comfortable place to lay our heads after traveling and while the bathroom was small, it provided the best shower of our entire vacation! Terrific water pressure, woot-woot!!!

Wi-fi was free and there was a self catering kitchen/living area we could have used even as B&B; guests. We really had the best of both worlds. Botanic View was a great value.

Thanks to Bernie and P.J. for the lift into town and for welcoming us into your home.

We felt like Botanic View was really our home in Dublin!

Left on 01/11/2012 for a stay in December 2011

My son and I recently had a very pleasant 33 night stay at Botanic View Self Catering. What a wonderful place to call home in Dublin. From the first moment we were made very welcome by Bernie and PJ who will stop at nothing to ensure you are comfortable, well informed and having a great time in their city. Our lovely room was extremely clean, comfy and warm with a lovely ensuite and every convenience you could want. The kitchen has everything you need to make anything from a snack to a gourmet dinner and you can relax in the lounge area watching TV, reading a good book from the bookcase or enjoying a chat with a fellow resident. We met some lovely people from a variety of countries which made our stay even more interesting and enjoyable. Even though we had a car, which we were able to park easily and for free on the street, we also made good use of the excellent city bus service nearby. For those days we wanted to head into the country this property is close to motorways for a quick escape out of the city. Everything you need is on your doorstep when you stay at Botanic View including sightseeing, grocery shopping, dining and fast food outlets. If you are planning a trip to Dublin you don't need to look any further than Botanic View where you will find everything you could need or want for the perfect stay in this amazing city. The best recommendation my son and I can give is that even though we are now back in australia in our own home we are missing our "Dublin Home" very much and can't wait till the day we can go back again. Thanks Bernie and PJ - you guys do a great job in a great place and really do offer a 'Cead Mile Failte' to all your guests!!

Can i just say if you ever stay in Dublin for business, travel or holiday- go here!
The service, kindness, welcoming and loving attention you receive is second to none- 1st class!
Bernie and PJ welcomed us with open arms as soon as we stepped foot in their wonderful B and B and throughout our stay bent over backwards to help us enjoy our short stay in Dublin.
Coffee and Tea and Squash on first arrival and making my teenage children and myself welcome was their 1st priority, they gave us excellent insight into all we wanted to do and Bernie even went out of her way to take us to places of interest.
We went B and B and the rooms were so clean, comfortable and welcoming- its really like a 1st class family run place. They told us we could use the self catering lounge and kitchen and everything was there for us- free coffee and Tea, washing facilities, books, Dvds- i could go on and on and on!
The full Irish breakfast was so filling and you get a huge plateful and didnt wait long at all. Orange juice, Tea, Coffee and cereals too- delicious!!! x
I cant thank them both highly enough and 4 days cost us just 225 euros for 3 people.
Never felt so welcome at a B and B and had so excellent facilities and care in all my 41 years- thank you Bernie and PJ- if anyone is ever thinking of going to Dublin for anything go here!
      You wont be disapointed!
Well done Bernie and PJ and will definetly see you both again!

The best self catering in Dublin!

Left on 12/24/2010 for a stay in December 2010

Having stayed in the B&B; next door, I then spent a number of nights in the self catering house, which is also owned and run by Bernie Ryan. I couldn't have wished for more. My spacious en-suite room, complete with desk and chair, was warm and comfortable, and sparkling clean. Good storage, hairdryer, etc. The roomy, homely, communal area has everything anyone could want - wi fi, cable TV, comfy chairs, library, etc, etc. The kitchen area is well equipped and there is more then adequate cooking facilities and fridge space. Complimentary tea and coffee are readily available. Laundry facilities are free, with drying rack, ironing board and iron. The place has a relaxed atmosphere, and everyone was very friendly. Bernie is very knowledgable about Dublin and can help with info on attractions, nightlife etc. Although the house is near a main bus route to the city centre, I was not aware of any street noise, I also took advantage of the private parking, although there is free parking on the road right outside, in this pleasant residential area. I will definately stay again.

      Great Locaton/Value

Left on 12/23/2010 for a stay in December 2010

We stayed at the Botanic View Self-Catering facility for our first trip to Dublin, a 10-day stay, and we were very satisfied with it.

Bernadette Ryan, the proprietor, was extremely helpful from the very start, with advice on the best sights and the best ways to get around. In fact, "Bernie" met us on arrival with tea. Her husband, PJ, might even be cajoled into telling a joke or two.

A big positive about Bvsc is the kitchen facility. We saved money by buying food at local markets and making many of our own meals. We chose the self-cating option over the full B&B; option because we normally just have fruit and a muffin for breakfast anyway.

Meeting some very nice people from around the world who were staying there at the same time also was a big plus.

Another positive is the location. It's on a relatively quiet street, but only a few steps from a bus stop where you can catch a bus to City Centre for only EUR 1.60 one way (about a 10-minute trip). But there's also several can't miss sights within easy walking distance, too, like Glasnevin Cemetery, Botanic Gardens, good restaurants, and perhaps the best pint of Guinness anywhere on Earth at a pub that's remained largely unchanged for more than a century, Kavanagh's (aka, Gravedigger's).

All in all, Bvsc is a tremendous value.

Botanic View Self Catering: "Best Self Catering in Town!!"

Left on 12/22/2010 for a stay in December 2010

I have stayed in many places in Dublin over the last 2 1/2 years, but Botanic View is by far the best of its kind. This place really does feel like home from home and represents very good value for money. The hosts are extremely friendly and very helpful and the facilities in the self-catering are excellent.
Botanic View is especially suitable for persons like me who commute to work in Dublin and need to stay over the week. There is an excellent bus service to the city centre or a pleasant walk taking only about 25 minutes.
I would highly recommend Botanic View whether you are looking to stay for a few days or long term.
