Large Log Home in Wind River Mountains. A remodel was done in the Spring of 2010 with a new dining room, a rustic island/bar w/ wine and glass rack in the kitchen and new chandeliers. The Big House was originally built as a Rancher's home. A truly rustic western log home, the property dates back before statehood when it was one of the first Wyoming ranches in the Upper Wind River Valley. We stayed at Crooked Creek Guest Ranch on Union Pass just west of Dubois and could not have asked for more.
The accomodations, food and staff made us feel like family!
Sledding guide gave all levels of skill a great ride and fantastic sights. We motored over to Togwatee pass for lunch and back, all needing a massieur the next day, ...hey! ...there's the only thing that was missing, other than cookies at the door! ;)
Mother nature messed with our choice of transportation to get up that mountain (Honda accord treking through melting snowpack) But that just made for more adventure! Nick and staff had it rescued in short order.
I highly recommend this experience.
