The apartment - Definitely the nicest apartment we stayed in during our time in Croatia, Apartman Marija is as clean as a whistle, very well equipped, secure and directly across the road from a bus stop. Located some 1.5-2 kilometres from the old city, it was a 20-30 minute walk to town (although, in the summer heat the bus was a much better option).
The hosts - We had arranged to meet Ivo, the owner of apartman Marija, at a prearranged location upon arriving in Dubrovnik by shuttle bus. Unfortunately, the shuttle driver wasn't so willing to help us out and we ended up on the other side of town. We contacted Ivo again to ask how to travel across town, to which his response was "I'll be there in 5 minutes!" That pretty much summed up Ivo, his wife Marija and their student son. They were so helpful and willing to go out of their way to make us feel comfortable during our stay that it just topped off what was otherwise a fantastic trip to Dubrovnik.
The city - Dubrovnik is a stunning, picturesque place that is highly worth the visit. We recommend trying to walk around the city wall at either 8am (as soon as it opens), or later in the evening when the hoards of cruise ship tourists have left. It is also well worth a day trip to the Island of Lokrum.
Overall, we can highly recommend both Dubrovnik and apartman Marija! -

I had the most enjoyable stay at the Marija apartments in Dubrovnik, Croatia. This accommodation exceeded expectations and ticked all the boxes! It was very spacious, clean and comfortable while in a great location
The apartment was surprisingly spacious and impeccably clean. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you would need. The bedrooms were nicely furnished with many spare blankets and pillows.
The air conditioning was modern, adjustable and very good. The apartments are located in an ideal position: Half walk between 'Grad' (the old town) and the harbour. The old town was an enjoyable 10 minute walk (path all the way). The balcony is also very spacious and includes a table, chairs and clothes line. The apartment was equipped with utilities I would not expect (washing machine, hairdryer, books, magazines, etc...) but these were helpful to have if needed.
The unique features about this accommodation were the comfort and cleanliness. The manager (Ivo) makes sure that you are settled in and personally provides you with maps, advice and an introduction to the area and is always on standby for whatever you may need. He is full of valuable local knowledge to ensure you have the best stay and know the best (and affordable) things to do and places to go.
I will certainly return and recommend my friends and colleagues to visit these lovely Marija apartments in the beautiful town of Dubrovnik. -

Looked after will by knowledgeable and friendly host who could not have been more helpful. The property itself is an apartment in a modern block with a mix of commercial and residential occupants. A very clean and functional place to stay. Safe and with easy access to the centre (5 mins by car) - there is a good bus route in as well. We did not walk but I suspect it would be a good 15 mins walk. Highly recommended.

We spent three days in Dubrovnik. The apartment is perfectly located, just 15 minutes walk from the port ia 5 minutes. Perfect for short breaks. We were in an apartment with one bedroom, bathroom (with jacuzzi, but not use it), kitchen, a vast dining room and balcony. The level of cleanliness is excellent, but best of all is the service provided. The owner is undoubtedly the best host I've encountered on a trip. Attentive, friendly and always willing to make things easier. To us helped us find a restaurant discounts and guided us to buy tickets to go to the island of Lopud to spend a great day. No doubt when we return to Dubrovnik (which we shall return) repeat accommodation.

Clean and large top floor 3 bedroomed air conditioned appartment with two bathrooms and 3 toilets. Our group consisted of 5 males (with age ranges between 49 and 58) but accomodation is large enough to sleep up to 8 comfortably with two people using the the big lounge as a fourth sleeping area. All bedrooms have access to balconies. From the front balcony there are impressive roof top sea views over to the port where cruise ships arrive on a regular basis.
The appartment could be split into two smaller units for smaller groups.
it is located in a mainly residential area about 20 mins walk from the old town. When you get fed up of the walking make use of the wonderfully cheap bus service with buses running every few minutes right through to 1.30am. Bus stop is opposite the appartment so its very convenient getting into the Pile gate end of the old town.
Be aware there isnt a lift so the five flights of steps are a tad challenging after returning from a few beers in the early hours. (75 steps to be precise not that I was counting!!)
An absolute bonus of staying in these appartments is the splendidly customer focused Ivo. Ivo is a bit of a discount king when it comes to arranging an evening meal or arranging trips. Tell him what you want to do and he will do his best to help and get a good price for you. He comes over as a good guy who wants you to get the best you can out of your holiday.
He was a very friendly helpful fellow who was there if you wanted him but also not offended if you didnt want him around or if you didnt take up one of his trip offers. He was a guy we had a lot of fun with and added to our excellent holiday experience in this terrific Croatian city.

The flat is located nearby the port, and a short walk from the old town. The area has some traffic, but that´s OK when it comes to bus transport to and from old town. The owner, Ivo, was very helpful, and helped us in every way.The flat was large, with good beds, OK kitchen, jacuzzi in the bathroom, and a large terasse. I will recommend this flat to friends and family.

Fantastic stay for us. very clean and spacious self
catering apartment with excellent facilities.
location is a short (15-20 mins) pleasant walk from
the old town and also very near the port of gruz
and the lapad area. there are supermarkets and
banks very locally as well as cafes, restaurants
and public transport. the proprietors could not
have been more friendly and helpful in making our
stay very pleasant. ivo has excellent english and
very deep knowledge of the area. flexibility over
check-in/out time also very helpful along with
airport pickup and drop off. we had our three kids
with us, 5 in total. bedroom for ourselves plus
three singles made up in the main apartment area. -

This apartment is excellent it is located close to everything in Dubrovnik. Shopping, Old Town, the Beach, and the Casino, are all less than a 15 min. walk. It is also located right on the bus line. The owners are great and very informative, they had a useful answer for all of my question about Dubrovnik and it's surroundings.
