      Wonderful Holiday

Left on 10/18/2012 for a stay in September 2012

We had a wonderful holiday and found very friendly and hospitable people. The room was clean and very acceptable, plus the patio area was lovely to just relax on. The walk into the old town was an easy stroll. as was the walk to the new harbour. It was very convenient to have a supermarket just across the road. Although Nada does not speak English, this was not a problem, she is a lovely lady and her daughters and Son-in-Law do.

Muy buen trato y todo muy correcto

Left on 09/06/2012 for a stay in August 2012

      Very friendly service!

My newlywed wife and I stayed here for 4 nights when visiting Dubrovnik on honeymoon and had a lovely experience. The owner picked us up from the city on the first day and drove us to the apartment. He was very helpful with recommendations about the city and boat cruises and where to eat. We didn't see him for the rest of our stay, but we were well looked after by members of his family, who stay in apartments in the same building. On arrival, we were given lemonade, and on the only rainy day we were also given an umbrella!
The apartment was clean and tidy with all the necessary things. We cooked in the small kitchen on a few occasions. There were sufficient utensils, but not very many. The only problem with the apartment itself was that it was dark, as one of the only windows looked out onto a wall. It is quite private though.
The location was great, being close to Lapad and about a mile to the Old City. We were able to walk everywhere without inconvenience.
Unfortunately they were carrying out building renovations on the building while we were staying in the apartment, which was a minor inconvenience. To reimburse us, they gave us a 10% discount on the boat tour that they arranged with us.
We went to Montenegro on our final day, and our host graciously drove us to the car rental office free of charge.
All in all, a great experience

      Absolutely loved it!

Left on 05/26/2012 for a stay in May 2012

We stayed at apartment anita for four nights. We cannot thank our host, Mato, enough for all his helpfulness. Mato picked us up from the airport, and gave us a little tour of Dubrovnik before bringing us to the apartment. He helped set up a day-long visit to the Elafiti islands one day. He took us personally to Montenegro on another day, making a detour to take us to the beautiful little town of Cavtat and Konavle (real gems). Without such a knowledgeable local guide, we would never have experienced these really special towns the way he made them come to life for us.

We asked Mato to take us to Mostar when we had to leave Dubrovnik. Not only did Mato show us around Mostar, he took us to Kravice Waterfalls, as well as Medjugorje (with a stop at the beautiful Etna Village for lunch). We had a really wonderful day with him and his beautiful wife Nikolina, who joined us on our trip. We enjoyed their company as much as the places we saw, and they truly added to the way we experienced the richness of Croatia. When Mato and Nikolina dropped us off at Split (our next stop), we truly felt we were saying goodbye to friends.

Apartment anita itself was comfortable and clean, and exactly as advertised. There is a supermarket exactly opposite the street - very convenient for stocking up on groceries, especially for longer stays. The apartment is a 15 minute walk from the Old City, so very convenient. Mato's mother-in-law, Nada, is a warm hostess. She greeted us on arrival with glasses of home-made lemonade and made us feel really welcome.

Not only did Mato help make the booking of apartment anita effortless, he went out of his way to find information for us that made the rest of our stay in Croatia (even after we left Dubrovnik) memorable.

Very welcoming and inviting accommodation. Very clean and modern apartment. On arrival Nada offered us fresh lemonade and cake. The family were so helpful with information on the area and help us to enjoy our stay to the maximum.
The apartment is located between the old town and the new port, which is gr8 to have both at easy distance but not to be in the heart of either. Pick up from airport was organised by the hosts which was great. I don't have enough space in this box for how highly i would recommend this apartment. It was the best self catering apartment I have ever stayed in. Thank you so very much

I stayed here with my daughter last June for a wedding. It was a beautiful place, idealy situated. Easily accessable to the beach, town, pubs and restaurants. Matthew and his family were extremely helpful and nothing was too much for them. Airport pick up and drop off avaiblel too what more could you ask for. My son decided to spend a week there in aug and he thorougly enjoyed it too. It was so good that I am returning this summer with my husband and my daughter is arriving a few weeks later with her friend. Beautiful place, lovely people, fabulour weather bliss!!!

      Great Place

Left on 07/20/2011 for a stay in July 2011

This was a great studio apartment in an excellent location. The hosts were fantastic and friendly, really easy and enjoyable to deal with in planning our stay and while we were there.

Its not in the heart of the old town (which is a relief as the old town is packed with tourists) but its a 20 min walk along the seafront or a quick bus ride. Its 10 minutes walk from a great beach, and really close to a couple of supermarkets and bakeries, and 5 minutes from some decent bars. Its a great location to get buses and connections, being between the marina and the old town, but essentially for us it was a nice, peaceful place to get back to and relax at the end of the evening, or even to chill on the sun loungers during the day.

Stay here if you want a simple, clean, welcoming and relaxing place which is near everything. Thanks to Mato and his family for hosting us.

Excellent service and hospitality. Studio was very spacious, clean and well equipped.
In a very quiet location but still in an extremely convenient position for local transport and only 15 minutes walk to the Old City. The friendliness of our hosts was beyond our expectations and we would love to return again in the future.
