Marija et sa famille nous ont reservé un accueil tres chaleureux. Nous avons particulierement apprecié le petit encas qui nous attendait a notre arrivée.
L'appart est spacieux, tres confortable et propre - l'hotesse a pensé a tout et rien ne manque. Le jardin est splendide et la terrasse tres agreable.
Le seul bémol: l'appart est situé a coté d'une route passagere(de jour)c'est donc assez bruyant. -

Great apartment, clean, spacious and friendly

3 of us stayed for 4 days in this apartment and it was brilliant! 10 mins walk to the steps of the Old Town (along a well-lit footpath next to a main road so didn't feel unsafe at nighttime walking back). The apartment was a great size - 2 single beds in each of the 2 bedrooms and a big sofa bed in the living room. The bathroom was spotless with a powerful shower and equipped with a hairdryer and washing machine. The kitchen had plenty of crockery/glasses etc plus some welcome juice/biscuits in the fridge and added bonus of a coffee percolator :)
The balcony is a proper suntrap and catches the sun all day, there's enough room for table and chairs and a couple of sun loungers
Marija and her family were lovely!! They provided us with beach towels, homemade olive oil for our salad (delicious), advice on where to visit and reasonably priced transfer back to the airport (cheaper than taxi), and a password for Wi-fi.
The cost of the apartment is very reasonable - deposit is made by Western Union beforehand, and you can pay in Euros or Croatian kuna
Oh and there's a very handy supermarket directly opposite which is open til 9pm. -

We were four people (two with bikes), staying for 5 nights in May 2013. Marija gave us good guidance on where to set up a meeting spot with our kids, who were biking in from Monte Negro.
The apartment is terrific -- clean, tidy and with everything we might need. The walk to Old Town is quite pleasant. And Marija! What can we say about Marija? She is a fabulous hostess and now, a new friend.
If you are driving and Marija tells you that you should call her from the nearby INa gas station, please believe it. You will not find the driveway to the apartment without guidance.
We met Marija's entire family and they are all delightful. You could stay in a more luxurious place, but you might miss the personal contact with people who are true residents of the city. -

The path from the main road to the apartment is misleading(do not be put off by this),beyond the path is a lovely garden , welcoming owners ( who make their own olive oil) and a clean well equipt appartment, with hair drier, washing machine, and a good shower.
Its only 10-15 mins walk to the Old town, has a supermarket over the road and is located in a quiter area of the town, -

We stayed for a week this summer and found the hospitality from the owners faultless. We opted to take advantage of the airport collection and Marija,s son was waiting on our arrival. He drove us to the apartment and gave an interesting guide to the initial area and helped with our baggage into the apartment. This was spotless and equipt with everything a traveller might need and more. Little touches such as some beer and homemade wine were in the fridge along with essentials to get our holiday started.
Marija was so helpful with directions and assistance with taxi bookings etc which made our holiday enjoyable from the start. This level of service is rare in any country and makes all the difference to a holiday experience.
Position wise the apartment is midway between the old town and the port and Marija showed us a short cut to the centre.
A lovely experience all round and one we would all recommend. -

It was going to be a tricky, complicated holiday...2 days in Dubrovnik required for myself and husband, transport back to the airport to collect another 2 and a small person...onward to Montenegro for a wedding,transport back then another 2 nights back in Dubrovnik before separate airport runs to go home on totally different flights...yeah like I say..it could have been a nightmare. However...there was Marijta!!! From the first e mail I sent it was clear that this was the right lady to be helping! Apart from her quick and informative responses to all my queries with regard to the apartment, she made all the obstacles vanish. We booked the apartment for the week as it was far cheaper than booking fragmented hotels and in exchange she collected us from the airport for free ( ?!), arranged for a driver to do the complicated transfers at a good price ( about the same as hiring a vehicle but without any of the hassle...and danger , as none of us had driven abroad ! ) Aside from the logistics though , Marija and her husbands were hosts and a half, orientating us on our first evening, welcoming us with friendly smiles and homemade liquors,making a special birthday reservation for us at a fantastic fish restaurant overlooking the harbor and quite amazingly, though self catering, cooking a delicious Bbq on our return from the wedding as they very thoughtfully presumed ( and were correct!) that we would be tired after the journey. In short, they could not have done more to make our stay with them any easier or more enjoyable. The apartment was in a great spot , an easy ( without buggie) 10 min walk to the old town and the same to the port to see the impressive cruise liners. We rented the ground floor which had its own terrace overlooking Marijtas beautiful garden. The apartment was immaculately clean and cool even in the heat, its ye olde worlde charm will not be for those seeking a slick modern , chrome filled experience, but we loved it and the price was almost unbelievable! It was spacious, and authentic filled with family furniture and collected treasures. In short, from the pick up, to the drop off for the flight home, where with a hug we were given beautiful chocolates ( !) our stay was magical. We plan to return..and would not stay anywhere else. We were travelling a group of 5 to Dubrovnik in august and stayed at Bungevilia for 5 nights. We couldn't be any happier with our choice.
Our host, Marija was great. She waited for us and come to meet us at a nearby petrol station (although we arrived late at about 22:00) and let our 2 friends who were staying at a different place also park their car at her apartment.
Whenever we needed information about Dubrovnik, beaches, whatever, she gladly helped us, giving us directions and tips on where to go.
Each night she visited us and asked about our day. She and her husband also helped us grill calamari on her backyard barbecue, also giving us olive oil, rosemary and whatever we needed. On our leaving she also helped us out with a pump to inflate our flat tyre.
The apartment is conveniably situated at about 10 minutes (if you ask Marija to tell you where the shortcut is, otherwise 15) from Pile (main gate to Old Town). It has 3 rooms, a common space, one bathroom and a kitchen. Everything is clean and tidy. The shady balcony overlooks a large backyard with oranges, lemons and lots of greenery, flowers. It is also very quiet. All-in-all a very pleasant place to stay.
Dubrovnik is beautiful, with plenty of thing to visit, one-day trips, okay beaches, beautiful sunset (ask Marija where to go). The city walls are a must even at 10EUR also don't miss out on St. Lawrence fortress (beautiful view on the Old Town) and the quiet little park on the neighboring hill (I recommend it at sunset).
A gorgeous city worth visiting and make sure you stay at Marija :-) -

Myself and 9 friends spent a week in the 2 apartments here in Dubrovnik. We could not have had a better time! Everything you could possibly need was provided in the apartments from internet to soap powder. Marija's hospitality went above and beyond anything we have experienced before and we really felt like part of her family. Location was great - supermarket opposite, port (ferry to different islands) 10mins down the road, walk to Old Town 20mins. Great value for money. If any of us ever return to Dubrovnik we will be sure to call Marija!!! :)

Serdecznie dzi?kujemy za mi?e przyj?cie i wspania?e warunki pobytu w Pa?stwa apartamencie. Zakwaterowania i wyposa?enie w apartamencie we wszystko co potrzebne (równie? klimatyzacja w cenie). Gospodarze bardzo uczynni i uprzejmi, bardzo dobry kontakt w j?zyku "mi?dzynarodowym". Dobra lokalizacja domu i dobry dojazd samochodem. Do Starego Miasta i do pla?y spacerkiem ok. 15 min. Zakupy w hipermarkecie po drugiej stronie ulicy. Cena atrakcyjna jak na Dubrownik. Ogólnie super Gospodarze i zakwaterowanie - godne polecenia. Dzi?kujemy i do zobaczenia.

Just spent 2 fantastic weeks staying at apartment Bungevilia. Marija and family deserve a lot of praise for their wonderful Croatian hospitality and genuine warmth and kindness. The apartment is great with everything you could want or need in the kitchen,bathrooms and bedrooms. Having a washing machine was brilliant. Supermarket across the road and lovely 15 minute walk to the Old Town. Would highly recommend staying here

I don't think I've ever experienced a nicer person than Marija - she welcomed us with such kindness and consideration that we didn't want to leave. Her apartment is perfectly clean and has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay, including a washing machine which was a huge help. Marija shared her garden tomatoes with us, gave us a bottle of champagne and told all her stories with the biggest and most genuine smile you've ever seen. The apartment is about a 10 minute walk to Old Town, so if you mind that just take the 2 minute cab drive instead. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.

We were a group of six people and spent a really good time there.
Apartment provided even better service as we expected.
Everything clean and nice, parking car next door, aircon, 15 mins walk to old city through nice park, 10 mins walk to famous beaches (bellevue, rixos), family provided information about everything around (speaking english).
I reccomend to everyone.

I stayed here with a group of 5 people and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the apartment felt like a home away from home with all the required amenities, the only thing we would mention is that there was no english channels on the television, but this encouraged us to enjoy the city more. The location is not far from the beach and Marija the host told us information about Dubrovnik on our arrival. I would definitely recommend staying here as it was clean and spacious.

Marija is a fantastic host, she made us feel like we are visiting a long lost relative. The apartment is clean, neat and has everything you need. It is close to the old town. I will recomend it to anybody and will stay there any day again.
