This was a very comfortable apartment with ample room and everything we needed. We had a very enjoyable stay. I would recommend this apartment but you do need to be reasonably fit to climb up the stairs from the old city, once there you are rewarded with a stunning view.

This apartment was perfect for our 1 week visit. It is very well outfitted and very convenient to the old town. The balcony view is tremendous. Almost every night the balcony is a wonderful place for drinks while watching the sun set over Dubrovnik. I would advise that there are a lot of steps to/from the old town so travellers should be in reasonable physical condition. Keka was a superb host and offered additional services that were above and beyond our expectations.

Left on 06/21/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We were two couples staying in the apartment may 2012. The main selling point of the apartment is the patio, with the most amazing view! You can see some islands and the old town.
The apartment is quite spacious and well equipped and had an excellent location. It's close to the old town, grocery stores and beach. We walked everywhere during our stay. It's quite a hike up the stairs, but that's the trade-off for the view.
My only negatives would be that the apartment feels a bit cluttered and the bathrooms are very basic. The decor, fixtures etc are also basic... however this place is great value for money with a view and location that are excellent. -

Although its an easy walk from the Old Town, and easy to find using the main streets, we found the 1 bedroom apartment disappointing. We had a sea view from our window, but the terrace overlooking the city is not a shared one, its only for use by those who rent the large 2 bedroom apartment. This is not made clear in their advertising. We rented the one bedroom, which many websites don't advertise much. The apartment had been cleaned, but not thoroughly. There were hairs in the corner of the place, dust on the kicthen utensils, windows, and light fixtures, and spiders everyewhere! Spiders in the sink, in the tub, on the ceilings and walls, and curtains too. They could have been sucked up by the vacuum. The bathroom is especially small, making a good shower difficult. If you sit on the toilet your knees are almost hitting the walls in front of you. The stairs up to the apartment are poorly lit at night. The owners were nice, can be reached via phone, and answered all our questions thoroughly before leaving. Even offered a good deal for a car rental. They had the fridge stocked with milk and juice, which was nice of them. If we were going to stay in Dubrovnik again though, we would choose a resort outside the city and take the local bus in (so easy). Nicer accomodations for just a little bit more money.

We stayed at apartment Keka with my wife's best friend in the two bedroom apartment and our stay started with wonderful service starting with the pickup from the bus station.
We got a really good intro into what's where and the lay of the land on the ride to the apartment which was handy.
Opening the door to the apartment and it was exactly what we were after and as good as it looked in the photos. Lots of space and comfort, well-appointed kitchen and then there was the balcony ...
Wow, what a view! I doubt there could be too many better views in Dubrovnik accommodation! We enjoyed a great sunset dinner on our last night on this balcony ... a perfect way to finish our time in Dubrovnik.
The beach was about a 7-8 minute walk down the stairs, and the shop near the Bikers Cafe was pretty handy for the budget conscious. You could walk to the Old Town in around 5-6 minutes and the bus stop was also very close for those wanting to get to the ferry terminal for day trips to the islands.
Our host was very friendly and accommodating, always happy to answer a question, offer some local knowledge or provide an idea.
There was only one quirk ... the en-suite bathroom shower over the bath takes a little getting used to on account of the lack of shower curtain. Other than this, everything was fantastic.
We'd stay here again without hesitation. It's family-friendly, good for a group and would be great for a romantic stay too. It would take some beating! -

We stayed in the apartment Keka 1, for five nights. I booked the apartment on behalf of my friends and I, and we were all very happy with the choice. The apartment is well equipped and clean. The large terrace and the view can not be beaten!
We really appreciated that there were two baths - and lots of towels.
The apartment is located just a short walk from the old town, the beach and grocery-shops. If you're reasonably fit, the 200+ steps are to be regarded as a free gym!
We would not hesitate to book this apartment again.

Except the bedroom for two a little bit tiny, with a big tv we didn't use, everything was excellent, the location is very close to the old city, and the view on the sea and on the old town from the terrace is incredibliy beautiful. You have to climb up to go there but it's worth. And the lady is really nice, we enjoyed everything.

A fantastic apartment and much more spacious than some of the pictures suggest. Beautiful views from the terrace - definitely worth the strenuous walk up the steps. In a very peaceful area but only 5 minutes walk to the bustle of the Old Town. The owner was very helpful and arranged taxi transfers for us.

Lovely apartment with stunning views from the terrace. Great location approximately only 5 minutes walk to the old town. Worth noting that one of the bedrooms is a mezzanine above the open plan lounge/dinning room. Whilst this was not problematic for us (a family) it might be a consideration for two couples. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would happily stay here again.

If you're not afraid of a few (239 to be precise) steps up from the old town, this is a great choice. The terrace was fabulous with a view worth the price alone. The apartment had everything we needed and we really enjoyed our stay. The double bedroom is a mezzanine so there's not a lot of privacy, but it's fine for a family or group of friends. We had thighs of steel by the end of the long weekend from all the steps, which is no bad thing!

We had a very pleasant stay in Keka1. Everything we needed was available and more. The view over Dubrovnik Old Town is magnificant. Keka is very friendly and helpfull. We would surely book this appartment again. Just one minor discomfort is that when you want to return to your appartment you have to walk many many stairs up but on the other hand, it keeps you in good conditions :)

I don't think, we will easy forget our breakfast on the balcony. Although we had a very large breakfast, I recall myself more looking around at one of the most scenic view in the entire world. Thanks again tho the owner helping us during the difficult moment; we couldn't fly back home because of active volcano on Iceland. We had to stay couple of days more.

Magnificent view and very comfortable accommodation. Transportation was wonderful especially in the rain. Keka was a great hostess. While the apartment is close to the old town, there are many steps downward to reach it. But the gorgeous view was worth the trek.

ilkleyLuxury home in Dubrovnik
Left on 12/09/2010 for a stay in July 2010
The villa's owner, Keka, organised our smooth airport pick-up and was there to give us a friendly welcome and explain how things worked in the villa. It was really well-equipped, tastefully furnished, clean and spacious, although tall people might find the upstairs bedroom somewhat cramped because of the low ceiling. The view from the balcony was magnificent, overlooking Dubrovnik old town and some islands. What a sight to wake up to! Cooking facilities were good but we didn't bother much except for breakfasts with supplies bought at nearby supermarkets.
Keka also organised car hire for us at a good rate and was helpful with directions and what to see. The streets up to the villa were twisty and narrow and the places to park quite challenging on account of steep slopes and lack of space. There were bus stops near the villa, though, so we only drove when we wanted to go to Bosnia or Montenegro, both well-worth a visit.
There were some negative aspects which might discourage some guests, mainly the many steps down to and up from the old town, which is near the villa as the crow flies, but quite an effort to reach unless you're fairly fit. This is only a warning, not a criticism and it didn't detract from our overall enjoyment! The climb is not for the faint-hearted, but after all the lovely food we ate in Dubrovnik, especially the ice-cream, I was glad of the chance to use up some calories on the way home.
Another small niggle was the fact that we couldn't shut the balcony doors, but this didn't present a health or safety hazard so it didn't bother us.
Keka was very kind and offered us lifts on several occasions, and I would definitely stay there again as long as I could manage the steps. -
