Six of us (3 couples) from Scotland travelled to Dubrovnik for a long weekend in early May. We were looking for self catering accommodation in the old town and Fascination apartments certainly fitted the bill. From the first time I contacted the property, Daniela the owner could not have been more helpful. She met us on arrival at the property and sat with us and gave us her local knowledge on Dubrovnik, especially on things to do and where to eat and drink. The property itself is one of the few apartments in the Old Town of Dubrovnik that has it's own garden to relax in after a hectic day of sightseeing. The startard of the accommodation was first class and Daniela was on hand to answer any of our requests. A wonderful experience in an amazing city.

From the moment we booked this property the owner, Daniela, was extremely helpful. a taxi service was organised to and from the airport, this took 25 mins approx.
The property is situated within the city walls of Dubrovnik and located in a very quiet area. The house itself was excellent, we stayed in the apartment which has 3 very good size double bedrooms, some of which can be converted into single beds. Some rooms can also accomodate an extra bed. There are 2 shower facilities and 3 toilets. The kitchen has everything you need.
The rooms are all of an excellent standard and very clean. The property also has a safe.
The gardens within the property are magnificent and you can have your own patio area to have lunch if necessary.
There is also a supermarket just around the corner.
I would highly recommend this property and would have no hesitation in going back. -

We had such a wonderful stay; we are already trying to figure out when we can go back!
Daniela, the owner, is very warm and friendly, we felt like we were staying with family or friends- not like a holiday rental at all. She was very helpful with suggestions of things to do, places to eat and she even made arrangements for a driver to take us to Mostar as well. Above and beyond really.
We stayed in apt a2, the bedrooms were big with plenty of storage and light, and the 1.5 bathrooms were modern with plenty of hot water (just don't accidently switch off the boiler like we did - even though Daniela told us about it). The kitchen was well equipped, not like we did anything other than tea and some toast :> But the fridge sure came in handy. There were three of us and we never felt crowded - could have easily had a fourth person with us as well.
Loved the outside space and the terrace in the garden overlooking the Old City was my favourite spot. So wonderful to stay within the city walls, close to all the restaurants and of course the Troubadour; as well as the old port and the sea.
The only issue we had with Dubrovnik is the crowds from the cruise ships. It's insane how busy it gets!!! But if you go to the restaurants and shops up the stairs or hop on the ferry to Lokrum where you can walk around, go to the cafe/bar or have a swim - you can get away from the crowds. And it was wonderful being able to escape back to our terrace as well :>. And make sure you have some Dubrovnik ice cream- so yummy.
We really enjoyed our time with Daniela and her lovely dogs, Lilu and Tulio- what a treat! We will be back as soon as we can.

We stayed at this apartment because I read good reviews about it, which turned out to be more than expected. The stay was made perfect by the personal attention and hospitality of the owner Daniela.
In addition to the wonderful treatment, the house is in the best location in town. So close to everything and easy to find.
Also, Daniela will help you find anything you need: tours, restaurants, taxis, etc.

I never imagined you could find silence, a garden, wireless internet access,
a dog, a well, a family and a centuries-old house in the middle of
Dubrovnik's old town.
But you can.
Daniela Knego's Apartments Fascination was the perfect base for our
family's week-long stay.
As long as you don't expect clinical cleanliness and matching decor, linen or
cutlery you will like this place.
The 4-bedroom, 1-bathroom house is a relic of the 1970s but is
comfortable and equipped with anything and everything needed for self-
catering.
We fired up the outside barbecue at least once to make dinner for our party
of seven.
The house is literally in the middle of town and offered excellent value for
money. Markets and shops are a two-minute walk.
Daniela and her sister offer a very warm welcome and are happy to share
information on the house's amazing past.
Her dog Lilu keeps the nosy admirers walking past at bay, and I believe
there's been a new addition (a puppy) to the family since our stay last year.

London, UKA lovely oasis of calm in the beautiful Old Town of Dubrovnik

Down a little side street in the heart of the Old Town you'll find this lovely house. Walking through the front door you are presented with a gorgeous garden brimming with flowers, orange trees, kiwi vines - you name it! The apartment had everything that we needed, a balcony overlooking the garden, satellite TV, powerful AC, a small kitchenette and hot water. The owner was around if we ever needed anything and very friendly. The house was a minute walk from a little grocery store and only 5 from all of the restaurants, bars and sites that make the Old Town so magical. My favorite thing about the house were the chairs and tables placed throughout the garden, they made the perfect location for a cool glass of wine, looking down on the Old Town and out to the city walls, after a hot day on the beach.
