Sussex EnglandLovely apartment in a central location
Left on 05/19/2013 for a stay in May 2013
Stayed in this lovely apartment for 4 days. It was very clean, spacious and confortable. Ideal location within Old Town in a very quiet spot, near shops, restaurants, market.
The kitchen was stocked with all the basics for cooking.
Zvonko was very helpful in meeting us at the airport and taking us to his apartment. He was not intrusive at all
during our stay. When we had a little problem with the hot water, he came straightaway and fixed it.
I will certainly recommend his apartment to friends who want to visit Dubrovnick. -

MelbourneBest apartment I stayed in
Left on 10/07/2012 for a stay in August 2012
I loved this place. The apartment looked just as good in real life as it did in the pictures. It was very clean, nicely furnished, had an air conditioner which was a welcomed relief from the hot august weather, and had great views. It was in a very convenient location in the Old Town and just around the corner from a daily morning fresh food market. Zvonko provided little extras including shampoo. He also had tea and coffee. I organised for him to pick me up from the airport, which made getting to his apartment very easy. Upon entering the Old Town, he pointed out a great pizza place, Oliva Pizza, and a good seafood restaurant. I stayed in other places in Croatia that were similarly priced, but this apartment was my favourite and I would definitely stay here again. I stayed here on my own, but it would definitely be big enough for two adults, and possibly even a small child.

Located within the walls of the old city, close to the market, churches and shops, yet removed from the hustle and bustle. The apartment was very clean, bright, airy, and quiet at night. Fully supplied kitchen and very nice bathroom. We enjoyed the ambiance of the old city before and after the invasion of tourist each day. Zvonko has a winner here and I highly recommend this apartment.

MinnesotaVery comfortable in a central location!
Left on 05/17/2012 for a stay in April 2012
When I was looking for apartments or Sobes to stay at in Dubrovnik, I kept reading that there would be lots of stairs to climb. When I found this place and it had no stairs, for the same price as everything else, I was excited! Not only that, it's smack in the middle of Old Town, on a quiet alley, and with a grocery store just steps away. Zvonko met us a Pile Gate and showed us to the place. He confirmed some of the things we wanted to see and didn't intrude at all during our stay.
It's very comfortable and he has the kitchen stocked with all of the basics for cooking, which we did a lot of. I ended up getting sick and had to spend a lot of time in the apartment, so I can vouch for how grateful I was for the location and the comfort. -

155019Highly recommended! The best place we stayed at in Croatia
Left on 04/27/2012 for a stay in April 2012
My husband and I stayed here for two nights during our two week trip in Croatia. We were initially travelling as a party of four but our friends left two days before us, and we found this lovely studio apartment for two in the middle of Dubrovnik's old town.
Pros:
-Location, Location, Location!!! The apartment is located in an laneway just behind the market square. Though it was close by, you could not hear any noise from the outside.
-The studio consists of high ceilings and large windows on the 3rd floor (or 2nd floor, for Europeans), so it seems very spacious and bright for two people. The decor is modern and cheerful, and the place was immaculate. We appreciated having a small kitchenette as the supermarket was so close by and we had been travelling for a little while. The apartment is accuately depicted in the the photos provided by the owner.
-Price- it was hard to believe that the studio is only 50E (please note we were there during low season) - this was the best deal we go in our entire visit to Croatia, worth every penny!
-Cleanliness - I know I mentioned this already, but we had initially stayed at another apartment in the Old Town with our two friends. The place was on the top floor and the was always a sewage smell permeating the apartment from the washroom. The explanation we were given was that the Old town's city sewers were built in the 15th century and the smell would pass. However after 4 days the smell was as strong as in the beginning. Having said this, Studio apartment Zvonko had absoutely no smell and was extremely clean (even though it uses the same water system).
Cons:
- the owner lives in the "new" part of the city, and works during the day. So if you are looking for someone that is always available for advice or assistance, you may need to look into a pension or hotel. This is an apartment rental, not a hotel. We called Zvonko to ask if there was a hair dryer available and he arrived within 30 min to drop it off - that is great service!
-no Wifi - there was surprisingly no wifi available, since every place we stayed at had complimentary wifi and with a strong signal. The owner acknowledges this, and has plans to install it. This is something to consider if Wifi is a must for your travel needs. We managed without it for two nights, but it would have been helpful to know this prior to arriving.
All in all, the only real regret I had was that we coulnd't stay here for our entire 6 night stay in Dubrovnik - I would return in a heartbeat. It was the best sobe (apartment) we stayed at in our entire two week trip and I highly recommend it. In terms of price, location, and amenities, this one is hard to beat! -

Excellent location in the heart of the old town. Clean and quiet apartment. Comfortable bed. Hot shower. Only downside was the kitchen wasn't well equipped - extremely basic if you want to do your own cooking (we did has had been travelling for a while). No washer and no wifi. Would recommend.

San Diegogorgeous studio in the perfect location
Left on 02/25/2012 for a stay in August 2011
We had a wonderful stay in Dubrovnik. This studio apartment is located in the middle of old town, close to restaurants and sites. The bedroom/living room is extremely spacious and the apartment was recently renovated. It was the best place we stayed in all of Croatia and we would go back in a heart beat. Plus, the owner picked us up from the bus stop and checked in to make sure our stay went well.

Booking this apartment was a leap of faith as there were no reviews at the time(this was a new venture undertaken by the owner). On arrival at the apartment we were delighted to have made the choice of this accomodation. The owner is friendly and helpful, he collected us from the airport for 20 euro(taxi fare 30Eur). We were taken to Ploce Gate at Dubrovnik and made our way on foot approx. 400m(the city is traffic free)with Zvonko the owner who pointed out the sights and gave information about the surrounding area before arrival at our apartment.
The apartment is on the 1st floor, located in an excellent location up a quiet lane, behind the 5 star hotel Pucic, close to a couple of bakeries and numerous restaurants. 300m away is the harbour where numerous boat excursion can be purchased and 200m from the Stradun (the main street).
Inside the apartment is modern and practical with a great view from the window of the mountain overlooking the city (see the owners website for info. on the apartment, it is 100% accurate)
This was a good apartment with a helpful owner in a nice location. There were no bad points
