Description from the owner
As part of a family house, which is located in the attractive neighbourhood called Lapad, this lovely studio apartment (40m2) offers you superb convenience and outmost functionality.
Since the house is positioned right at the waterfront, it’s further appeal lies in the captive overview of the port of ‘Gruž’ and the small sailboat harbour.
The charming interior settled in an old Dubrovnik house with an inspiring view into the centennial garden is the ideal choice for an unforgettable experience - all revived by a young Dubrovnik family and its bright spirit.
Staying at this peaceful green-blue oasis of Dubrovnik, it...Read more

Houston TexasPerfect Stay in Dubrovnik - Excellent Host and accomadation
Left on 08/16/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Mato and Marina are absolutely great host. From our first interactions in setting up our stay all the way through until we left, they were very gracious in making sure we enjoyed our stay, had everything we required and enjoyed the city. They answered any questions we had before arrival and after.
We were picked up at the bus station in Dubrovnik as we spent a few days in Split before going to Dubrovnik by bus. I knew instantly upon arrival that our choice in this apartment was perfect.
The apartment is in an excellent location. We watched cruise ships enter and leave port daily. We enjoyed the walks along the water front and the trails in Lapad. I am so glad we chose this apartment away from the city. With the information we were provided on arrival - we could get anywhere on one bus (Bus 6) with the information we were given we knew where to go for everything.
Stores for supplies are a little bit of a walk, but still worth the location.
About a 15 minute walk to the beach. 3 beaches in close proximity. We walk alot.
We enjoyed eating breakfast on the porch in the back garden. We had everything we required for cooking meals.
We enjoyed watching Lizards and butterflies under the Grape vines. just watching the sun come up on the flowers and trees.
Sitting on the walls in the harbor.
We spent days at the beach - Old city - took a ferry to Lokrum (Also a must go see if in Dubrovnik) Many walks.
I highly recommend this aparment for any couple, small family on vacation and anyone visiting Dubrovnik. Away from the hustle and bustle of teh old city.
We will definitely be back to visit!!
Perfect Stay.

tel avivwonderful apartment in a great location, lovely hosts
Left on 08/16/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment last week (early august). It is much nicer than the pictures on this website! Marina and Mato were very hospitable and helpful. The house is a beautifully renovated stone house, located on the water in Lapad, with a winery on the main floor. Tasteful details, lovely garden (though unfortunately it was too hot to sit outside when we were there). The apartment is comfortable and convenient (with washing machine, a nice plus). We really enjoyed staying in Lapad, instead of the Old Town area. Took a short bus ride to Old Town during the day, but enjoyed coming back to the apartment in the evening, then going out for dinner in Lapad . Mato picked us up at the airport for a reasonable price, and gave us a bit of a driving tour of the city on the way in. Was a great introduction to Dubrovnik-- much better than going to a hotel!

Newport, RIClean, Stylish, Authentic apartment
Left on 08/05/2012 for a stay in July 2012
My husband and I just got back from a five day stay at this lovely little apartment. We had our two year old daughter with us and the accommodations were perfect for our small family. Marina and Mato were extremely helpful and generous hosts, offering us a toddler bed, lending us toys and beach towels and mattresses, arriving with fresh baked muffins, and watermelon, and inviting us to their winery downstairs for a taste of local liquer and a generous carafe of white wine to take back to our room.
A selection of beautiful beaches are just a short walk away, as are dozens of good restaurants overlooking the sea. We liked being away from the old town but did walk there once and took the bus in another night.
Some other highlights: A/C worked very well; Gorgeous garden just off the dining area with ancient stone columns; Stunning view of the old harbor as you exit the apt; Mato gave us a ride to the airport and told us interesting stories about Croatia's history. I hope to go back to Dubrovnik one day and stay at Marina and Mato's excellent apartment. -

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay. Thankyou Mato & Marina for your fabulous hospitality, the home cooked treats & wine from the cellar. It was a pleasure to return to your spacious, comfortable apartment and lovely garden - a haven after the bustle of the Old Town. We found the bus very convenient and there were plenty of places to eat within walking distance.

We traveled with our 7 months old baby girl and stayed for 10 days. We looked for a baby friendly apartment and we definitely got that and more!
The apartment was very clean, cosy and yet romantic. The garden is beautiful and you can't ignore the smell of the blossom once you open the door. We had everything we needed to prepare our meals baby food, they also have a washing machine, which came very handy once I was out of clean clothes for my lottle one.
Marina and Mato couldn't be more helpful, generious and attentive to our/baby's needs.
Mato kindly showed us around Dubrovnik with his car on the first day, recommended places to visit and helped us getting the best excrusions deals.
Almost every day marina treated us with her delicious home baked cakes and they even took us to see the winery and taste their great local wine.
I strongly recommend the apartment for families who'd like to travel, but still have the convenience of their own home and also for couples who are looking for a romantic, by the sea, sunny get away.
Finally, I must say Dubrovnik is beautiful, but what made our trip exceptional is staying at Marina's and Mato's Little Dubrovnik, they really made us feel like family.
Thank you both for a great holiday!

„Little Dubrovnik" was fantastic in every regard.
The place is stylish, so clean and welcoming. Excelent location, first sea line with a beautiful mediteranean garden. The relaxing penisula „Lapad" offers much more than the silly hustle and people traffic jam of the old town. But then, just a quick bus drive to get there.
Marina and Mato, our generous hosts, were very helpful in every way, provided us valuble information and treated us like family.
We dont hesitate to recommend to anyone this wonderful place for a calm and confortable stay in Dubrovnik.
Great value for money, highly recommended!!!
