Sea Vue has the best beach access of any house we've rented over the last 20 years of our vacations on the Outer Banks! The house is comfortably furnished and provides a nice open living area with spectacular ocean views. The quiet neighborhood provides a relaxing atmosphere. Outer Banks Blue makes the rental experience easy and pleasant.

Beavercreek, OhioTranquililty on the Ocean
Left on 08/02/2012 for a stay in July 2012
A family vacation of eight adults and 2 children.. The house had plenty of room and was spacious and airy. The condition of the house was good considering all the traffic during the years. It is located right on the beach with a private walkway so it is very convenient to go to/from the beach. Other houses nearby required a trek with beach gear (and lacked the view). Sitting on the deck or at the dining table with a great view of the beach was wonderful. The beach at this location and further north was wider than the beach toward the south. A bad storm eroded sand and people sitting on the beach to the south were sitting almost on the sand dune at high tide. Our location was fine. The beach was not overly crowded and we had no problem getting space for the group right in front of the house. The surf is rather strong so small children may have some difficulty going in the water unattended. The house was well stocked in the kitchen so little is required except paper products and food items. Food Lion stores are close enough for food shopping. The location is more remote and away from attractions found in Kitty Hawk and areas south (with its accompanying congestion). But the tranquility and beauty is worth it. The traffic wasn't too bad except for arrival (when it stormed) and departure. Arrive/depart early to lessen the problem. Corolla is easily accessable and there are a number of good restaurants there and in Duck. The door has keyless entry which is very convenient. There are numerous steps which is usual in these beach houses so it may be difficult for individuals with disabilities. Four of the five bedrooms have deck access and three have private bathrooms. Two bedrooms did not have TVs. The TV in the great room is not large but is new. The house upon arrival was clean. Overall Sea Vue was a great vacation spot especially for a large group and we would book it again.

House is nice, but the access road to the house needs repaired very badly, was afraid of blowing a tire or needing new shocks with the volume of pot holes and overall condition.

House was nice, upstairs very open and bright. Deck was a bit run down. Bedrooms clean and confortable, downstairs family room really a hallway not family room. One issue was the gas grill, not nearly big enough for a house that sleeps 11. Breath taking view and loved the private entrance to beach. Blue was very attentive in the few minor problems we had upon arrival, pleasure doing buisiness with

The proximity of this house to the beach was amazing. From the bedrooms, kitchen, living room, and deck we had an unobstructed view of the ocean. We fell asleep to the sound of the waves crashing the beach. The house had everything you could possibly need. The kitchen was completely stocked with all the extras like blenders and crockpot. We were disappointed with the barbeque grills -there were too very old charcoal ones and the gas one didn't have any propane. With three master bedrooms each having their own bathrooms, the house was perfect for multiple families.

Dnabury, CTA little disappointed
Left on 06/09/2010 for a stay in May 2010
This is the third house we've rented with Outer Banks Blue. While the house had the best ocean views of the three, it was also one of the most expensive to rent. Compared to the other two, it was very poorly equipped - in the kitchen as well as outdoor furniture. I think a house with those kinds of views would have had more than plastic chairs and a picnic table on the deck.

Dear OBX Blue fan,
I'm sorry you were disappointed in how this property was equipped. It is something we will follow up on. The property's main attraction is the proximity to the beach, but your points are well taken about the equipment in the property needing and overhaul.
We will get someone there to review what is there and see that we make some improvements for future guests.
Thanks for your feedback!
All the best from the beach! -

Pittsford, New YorkAnother Great Year!!!
Left on 10/12/2009 for a stay in September 2009
This was our 5th year in this house (the first 2 years were under a different rental agent). Needless to say, we love the house because we keep coming back!!! Its location in Duck and on the ocean is perfect. We have already signed up for next year.
The first 3 years we came with our kids and our grandchildren and it was wonderful to share the house with them. But the grandchildren started school and we are now down to only adults. The 5 bedrooms and 4 full baths make sharing the house very easy. We love the deck which makes beach, ocean and dolphin watching so enjoyable.
Outer Banks Blue has been the rental agent the past 3 years and they have been wonderful to work with - if there are any problems, they respond immediately and their staff is very helpful and friendly. I know it is something small, but I appreciate having the beds made when we arrive. (And my husband appreciated having the ability to go to their office to use their internet access for dealing with some busines matters.)
This is truly a great house and makes for a fantastic and relaxing vacation!! -

Left on 07/09/2009 for a stay in June 2009
We loved this house. The location is outstanding and the view from the main room and the front deck are incredible. The layout of the rooms accommodated our family very well. It was especially nice to have all of our bed linens provided for us, including bath towels. The place was very clean. It was very convenient to have the hose to rinse off from the beach right on the deck as you went in. We used the grill one night and that was perfect. The big dining table was great for our large family. The only problem was the stove. The burners were not working well at all. Only one burner really worked and that was a big problem when trying to cook for a family.

SeaVue bedrooms were comfortable and most offered deck access...Lots of bathrooms! First floor deck offered easy ramp access to dune "elevator" which was very convenient. Kitchen area was clean and tableware was plentiful. Electric stove was quirky, but new BBQ grill was delivered during our stay. All in all, a good place to spend a beautiful Outer Banks vacation!

We had a great week at this house, it just needs some updating. The view and access to the beach is the best. The furnishings and windows need some replacement, but it certainly did not stop us from a great vacation. We would stay here again with some TLC from the owner.

Frankfort, KentuckyDelightful ocean panorama
Left on 10/27/2008 for a stay in October 2008
The best thing was the upstairs great room, offering a panoramic view of the ocean. I enjoyed reading in the great room at night with the doors and windows open and the sound of the surf, oftentimes booming, and the full moon shining on the water. My little boy loved seeing the beach and the ocean, and, of course, running down the private boardwalk right to the beach and the water.
The only drawback to this property is the road leading to it is rough- lots of potholes, not fully paved, so don't drive a roadster! Also, there is soft sand right next to the property, so make sure you go to the left on the hardpack driveway to park in the carport. Otherwise, you may get stuck in the sand.
Those are minor concerns when contrasted with the beautiful setting. -

the ocean view wasn't just great...it was spectacular! the home is comfortable. airy and serene. Beautiful views of the Ocean...no need to go out!
Left on 08/05/2008 for a stay in July 2008
We love this home for the accessability to the beach and the ocean views. The kids can run up to the house and back down for snack or just a quick break from the sun. There is no need to haul items back and forth constantly (which makes vacation more relaxing).
The sheet and bath towel service is wonderful, there is not the added burden of making the beds after a long hot trip in the car. There are plenty of bath towels, you just need to use the luandry machine available in the cottage.
We would like to see better outdoor grilling equipment and outdoor furniture...but, with those views, who cares?
