Perfect for a family of 4. Close walk to beach and pool. Would rent there again.
Bergen County, NJ
Served its purpose

We loved its location and general amenities, however we were disappointed with its cleanliness and how outdated it was. Namely the shower curtain in the master bath had some kind of mold growth on it. The decks need could probably use a renovation also. But besides that it served our purpose and we loved Duck.
Comfortable unit at Georgetown Sands, but one incident marred it

The unit we stayed at, Georgetown Sands unit 14 was comfortable, but when we arrived there was a plastic bag with sheets for our queen size bed sitting on the end table in our bedroom that when I picked it up was full of water and mold and stunk! When I called housekeeping to come and get it and give us replacement sheets there was no apology or recognition that this happened.
I would have thought they would have offered for us not to pay for part or whole of the sheet part of the linens, but that did not occur.
It also would have helped to have a cart to carry our beach stuff. Otherwise the unit was stocked adequately and comfortable. Read more
Response from Resort Realty Outer Banks - 08/23/2013
I'm so sorry to hear that this happened, as I'm sure that is not a good way to start your vacation. I forwarded a copy of your review to the property manager and the housekeeping supervisor, so they can address this with the person you spoke to on the phone. This is certainly not our standard, as we strive to provide the best customer service on the beach.
It's good to hear that the condo was comfortable. We are always happy to pass on suggestions to the homeowners, and we will be certain to do so regarding a beach cart. Thanks for your feedback, and we hope to see you again next year.
Great location and great property

For us - 3 adults and 1 toddler - the condo was perfect. Close to the beach, the pool and the town. Anne's place is well fitted and has everything one needs. Duck is great and has lots of reasonable restaurants and good places to buy groceries. So although the week we stayed was almost peak time, we felt it represented reasonable value for money. Only one small issue of complaint: we were told by the agents that the internet was not wireless but this is incorrect - it is. Also for future reference, travelling down from the DC area on the Saturday was a nightmare, and took twice as long (10 hours) as it did coming back. Worth considering timing of departure for those travelling during busy summer months from DC area and around. But we had a great time and would definitely go there again.
Short walk to the beach and pool. Moderate walk to Duck Village

Everything went well for us. Condition of the townhouse was very good. We enjoyed coffee on the deck several mornings and had several nice trips to the beach. Quite peaceful, even though we were in the thick of the vacation season. Wireless internet was nice, so we could look into the local websites before booking activities (parasail, dolphin cruise). Good facility for those with smaller kids, with a baby gate on the stairs. Perhaps an upgrade needed to the deck chairs, but certainly not a big deal. Might also add an additional line for drying towels on the lower level of the property.
Pleasant and enjoyable.

Loved the location...close to the shops, beach and swimming pool. Anne's Place was clean and comfortable overall. If I could make any recommendations, I would look at netting for the outdoor decks. We noticed it on a few other decks in the complex and figured it was for child safety. We were on guard a little more since the netting wasn't there. It's cosmetic though, so I can understand if you didn't have little ones, it may not be pleasing to look at. Also, if it were possible to list items that are available in the house, it would be tremendous! Finding the fishing rod with lures, tackle box, etc. was a nice find. I wish I knew ahead of time, in case I thought of renting equipment before arriving. Finding the Graco crib was great, but we brought ours with us which took up quite a bit of space. Being able to see what is available in the house when siging up would make for a more efficient and enjoyable experience. It's not a big deal in the overall picture, it would just help. I will say, you did think of everything in the kitchen. There were kitchen tools we never even thought about until we needed them and they were there! The house was quite clean upon arrival and the amount of little games and puzzles was nice too.

Everything was great, the only complaint was the queen size bed was so hard to the point of pulling out and sleeping on the couch bed.
