We have been enjoying this home for our annual family beach week for many years now. It is very well maintained and has provided our family with many happy memories. The location suits us well with the waterfront views and convenience to the beach, but also close enough to the village that we can walk to the shops and dining. We can't wait to be back at "As Good as It Gets"!

We have stayed there for about 7 years but will not make it the summer of 2013 because of family birthday celebration in the Smoky Mountains, TN. (Hillbillies "you all" known. Ha!). We plan to be back to Duck in the summer of 2014 for about 2 weeks). (If the price is right?)

This house is really great in terms of being equipped in terms of beds and baths and a pleasant surprise, a functional kitchen! Pretty rare that I've been to a beach house with the level of kitchen gear that this one has. The media is well-done; functional without being overly complicated. Resort Realty did a great job of getting the house spotless and certainly the early check-in is a huge plus for those traveling.
One knock - for such a well-equipped kitchen, it was quite a surprise to find so few bowls! Really this is the only downside to an otherwise perfect beach set up for a larger crowd. -

I have been coming to the Outer Banks for over 10 years and this house was the niceist houses that we have stayed at. It was very clean we all hd a great time a couple of complaints,not enough internet access for everyone seems you can only get 2 computers on-line at the same time. A lot of stairs need an elevator, and the screens had holes in them so could not open windows. Also we were very disappointed that we could not use the pool. I think since we were unable to use the pool should take some money off the rental since pool was not cleaned. The driveway is very long and winding it is really fun to back out of it especially at night with no street lights.

We visited last week with our children and grandchildren (12 of us in all). We were completely satisfied with the condition of this property. When we arrived, the caretaker was very helpful. A broken gate was fixed immediately without our mentioning it to anyone. The property was in excellent condition considering that this was September, and the house had been continuously occupied since early summer. The design of the home is lovely - the ocean views are fantastic. There are many personal touches with books, games, Dvds etc in the home. The kitchen is beautifully stocked with everything needed. Be prepared to get lots of exercise going up and down the steps - this is not a home for anyone with limited tolerance for stair climbing. We usually stay in Corolla, but really enjoyed Duck. Do not hesitate to rent this property.

Great facility and location. Everyone very comfortable, and loved being so close to the shore. House was very roomy and furniture was very comfortable. Check in was very informative, and the caretaker friendly and knowlegible. The only negative was the arrival of hurricane Earl that forced an early exit, and only allowed us to enjoy half of our planned family reunion. Would return to this rental property.

My family and I typically stay in Corolla, this was out first time staying in Duck. We really enjoyed staying at this terrific house. Such a great treat to have the music by the pool and the hottub. Great time was had by all from the grandparents to the children!

You asked for my review and I will give to you in short. We have rented this home from you in the past but never again.
The overall condition and upkeep was terrible, especially for what we paid.
If you want further explanation I will be happy to give it to you but I really don't want to waste my time. You knew but did not care.
We had relatives and friends that drove 15 hours from Canada, I was embaressed.

Resort Realty responded immediately to this guest’s complaints and were very accommodating, so to say we did not care was not correct. We do care and everyone involved responded the same day. As a token of our appreciation we are sending you a Resort Realty certificate for $200 which can be used to rent one of our homes in 2011.

This was my 3rd visit to "AS GOOD AS IT GETS" and my husband's 1st. He agreed with me that the house offered everything you could want for a great beach experience. Being right in the town of Duck was great, we could bike or walk to everything we needed.
Duck NC is the Autumn is wonderful. The beach is quiet, the sun was warm, the air was soft. Most places are open, we found just a few closed. The stores and restaurants that are open seem to love the more relaxed days and time to talk with thier customers.
Our check in experience was the best ever. It was so nice to feel taken care of. -

Our stay at "As Good As It Gets" was as good as it gets. The home is beautiful and set up properly so that you can gather together as one big group, or move away to your own space where you can enjoy some privacy. There are even areas where a small group can separate from the larger group. Being directly on the oceanfront provides nature's own music to lull you to sleep.
We didn't see the horses this time and the fishing was terrible: sounds like a good excuse to return to OBX for another chance. -

The rented property was excellent in every respect and suited all our needs, young and old, the location was perfect being on the beach and within easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants at Duck. We could not think of one negative about the property, service or location.
The property was well equipped and all the bedrooms were very comfortable, the living area was so spacious we never felt overcrowded. The swimming pool and hot tub were great and our own access to the beach perfect.
Half of our family came from the UK and the other from Baltimore MD. Resort Realty did us proud; they provided an excellent service that could not be faltered, and we all had a memorable and enjoyable holiday.
When we return to the Outer Banks, without doubt this property would be our first choice. -

Wonderful house and the location was great. House was fully equipped and was clean. The only problem that we encountered was that one night it rained really hard and the basement carpet in the bed room got wet, but we did not realize it at first. Later, my son and his wife and baby had to move to another room because of the musty and mildew odor. My other grandson had then to sleep on the floor with us. It was pretty inconvenient, but it was only for two nights.
Other than that, the place was great. That leak definitely needs to be fixed.

apparently the house was trashed by the previous renters(who apparently did the same exact thing the year before). we arrived at noon but could not enter the house until close to 4 and the cleaners did not leave until 6. they were at the house since 9 a.m. the pool had to basically be cleaned out and filled 1/2 way with cold water. the pool NEVER warmed up. there was broken furniture.

Our family visits the OBX every October as sort of a family reunion. The house afforded everyone lots of room to gather or spend quiet time. Loved it and was disappointed that it booked early for this year and we have to find another. Maybe we'll get it for next year.

This was our 4th visit to this property, and it continues to be highly maintained. The new bedding was a real treat! This was our first June visit, and the best week yet. The weather, the lack of traffic, it was all perfect!
We look forward to our next trip!
