The location is great. The condo unit is rather small and suitable for two people for a limited time. The unit is decorated well, but needs someone to go room-to-room and perform minor maintenance chores. Things like bathroom sinks with drains that cannot be closed and D/W
basket wheels which repeatedly fall off reflect poorly on the owner's maintenance. Read more

Thank you for your candor in posting on FlipKey. Communication we receive from our guests is a great way to gauge what we are doing right, be made aware of what we can improve, and in both cases are very much appreciated. We are very sorry you had some concerns and thank you for bringing them to our attention! According to our maintenance records, I see work orders that were scheduled to fix the issues you mentioned have been addressed and taken care of. Thanks again, and we hope you will give Resort Realty another opportunity.

We loved staying in "As Good as It Gets!" The home has a beautiful, beachy decor without being tacky. The bedrooms are big, and the beds quite comfortable. We didn't do any cooking in the house (We only had simple breakfasts and lunches there.), but the kitchen was clean and appeared to be well stocked. The living room was also well stocked (with books, games, and Dvds) for rainy days or just relaxing at "home." This condo is in a great location (right on the beach allowing us to enjoy the beautiful sunrises!) and felt warm and homey. Being in "As Good as It Gets" made us feel as if the owners really love their home at the beach and wanted us to love it too!
Comfortable and convenient

Resort realty was very nice and helpful. The condo was nicely furnished and comfortabe. The glasses are a little lacking. There wasn't a decent pitcher in the place and the paper towel holder in kitchen had been ripped out of wall. The new furniture was very nice.
Although the free linens were convenient, the towels were stained and badly worn. We really love Colony by the Sea and appreciate the great maintenance.

We enjoyed where we stayed. As Good as it gets. The amenities were everything that was advertised and it was clean. This was the second year we stayed at this complex and it was well worth every penny we spend.

It's a very beautiful and comfortable place to get away. We love coming here and so does our daughter. The sunrise from the balcony is nice and the crashing of the waves in the background make for a perfect morning. and everything in the home is very clean and neat and up to date.
Nice comfortable place, bathroom floors could have been cleaner.

The office staff at resort realty were very nice and helpful. The home was comfortable and the view was OK. Would have liked to be on second floor but there was plenty of stairs for just the lowest level. Missed seeing the waves and the beach. Only able to see the ocean. Could have been better lighting going from Bldg. D to the path for the beach. Pool nice. Did not like having bath rugs that were not washed, I know it was meant to be homy but rugs around toilet that other people use is gross. Whoever used to unit before us was not very clean. Some dishes dirty, coffee pot dirty, frying pan had grease all over it. Could not use cookie sheets because we did not have foil to cover them. Would have liked more than 1 kitchen towel and would like a dishcloth and some dish soap. We left some for the next person and hope it was left there. It was nice that the owners offered some extras. We do not golf or knack and did not get a chance to play miniature golf that we do like. Having the beach umbrella and chairs were very nice. Really enjoyed the towns of Duck and Corolla. Driving on the beach and seeing the horses was a highlight. Enjoyed the area lighthouses. Read more

Thank you for taking the time to fill out the review. We strive to consider all of your possible needs, but when it comes to cleaning supplies, we don't stock the homes with those because of allergy issues. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again next year.

Overall, very good value for the money. Steps away from the beach with a nice view. Would recommend highly.

Great experience with Resort Realty Co. the checkin was convenient and the express check-out was great.
The condo was nicely appointed. The closing mechanisms on the sliding glass door to the balcony needs some work. I got locked out on the balcony just from closing the door completely. The sliding screen also seems to be off track.
The tub in the master bath drains out very slowly.
We like the location in Duck because it is close to good restaurants and shopping.
We would stay there again.

Best part of our vacation was Rick's Jeep adventures. Loved how close we were to the beach. Hated the fact that the workers closed our walkway to the beach to replace sections. Should have done that in the off season.
Can I stay forever???

The walk to the beach took about 3 or 4 minutes. We loved being really close to the shops and restaurants in Duck. The condo had enough space for us but the view is somewhat obstructed by trees/bushes. You can see the ocean from the balcony just not the beach because of the dunes and the two trees. This condo is on the first floor. This was our first time to the Outer Banks.

We visited the 3rd week of July. The condo was great. Made a few suggestions to improve the stay, but just minor, logistical issues. If you desire a great view of the ocean/beach, you probably want to stay a bit higher up than 1st floor, but this condo has great beach and pool access and most importantly is clean and well-kept.
perfect for us

As Good As It Gets was the perfect vacation condo for us. We are a family of four and like to spend our vacations with just our family to reconnect. The location was great, just a short walk on the boardwalk over the dunes to the beach. There was basketball, tennis and the outdoor pool for the kids. The view from the balcony was great. The walk or drive to the Village of Duck was just a half mile, it's very quaint and serene and everyone is so nice. Plenty of opportunities to shop, eat or recreate without leaving Duck. Will definitely stay there again.

We did have to call office twice. Once the shower curtain in main bath was made of grass skirt and would not stay on the hooks with the liner. Maintence came and replaced the liner which is not what I asked for. Fuse went out in the main bedroom and again we called to no avail it was'nt repaired, thankfully we used hall bathroom. We were a little disappointed in the pictures that were on the internet as to the one gives a clear view of the beach again a little unhappy b/c when on the porch we looked at trees that needed to be cut to see the ocean. The people above us were very noisy b/c the kids ran in and out slamming the door all hours. but we dealt with that even with having a 1 1/2 yr old who took naps. We enjoyed the town of Duck it was very quant and the beach accessible. the condo was decorated very nicely and clean, but with having friends from Seattle WA and from southern Ohio our trip was made by catching up together as friends. I wish I had made the choice of the condo on the third floor, noise and view would not have been and issue and would have made our trip alot more memorable. Thanks for taking the time to send me a survey hope some changes can be made. Bonnie Dorman

This rental had a fantastic location! We really enjoyed both the beach and the pool every day. It was nice to be able to come back for lunch and go back when we wanted. We also enjoyed having drinks on the balcony in the evenings.
The home had everything you needed to cook or relax including a nice touch of games and videos but could use more comfortable couches.
Although when we got there the master toilet was running constantly we did call maintenance and they came a day or two later to fix the problem. However it would have been much more enjoyable if this was addressed before we arrived!
This was our first time in the Outer Banks and we really enjoyed it. Duck was a great location and had a gorgeous beach and cute shops. It was not as crowded as some of the other towns and had a more elegant feel to it. Would definitely recommend this as a nice spot to come to.

My family and I rented 2 condos at Sea Colony. My husband's and mine was on the first floor, bldg D (AGAIG) and our children/grandchildren stayed in building C, 2nd fl.
Our children had a wonderful view of the ocean as well as the pool and the play area from both of their lanais. We were not so fortunate. Our view was obstructed by trees and large shrubs.
We found the pool and play areas to be very clean and well maintained.
Our condo was nicely decorated, but we found the LR carpeting in need of cleaning.
The people on the second floor above us were quite noisy during the night had a habit of flicking their ashes on their lanai which landed on our chairs and tables. (This, of course, is not something over which the owner of our condo has control.)
All in all, we would give Sea Colony in general a thumbs up for amenities and location, and would most likely stay there again because of the proximity to the beach.
