The house was beautiful. The rental agency staff were efficient and friendly. The amenities were excellent. But I will not rent this property again because it has a Saturday check in. I've been coming to Duck every June for years but always checked in on a Sunday. What is normally a 5 hour drive and check in process was 8 hours due to coming in on Saturday!!! Sitting in traffic for hours is not the way I want to start my vacation. Also, on the check out day, I chose to get up at 6am to leave early to avoid traffic - not the way I'd like to end my week.

The house was questionably clean. A look at the linens especially towels and the way they were presented made us question their cleanliness. The carpets were filthy, another indicator of uncleanliness. The vacuum cleaner did not work, so we could not vacuum before we left. The kitchen supplies were less than optimal especially glasses and wine glasses. The drinking glasses in most abundance were 4 ounce size, not the quantity of drink one would enjoy for a beverage without refilling multiple times. The mold in the ac/heating vents was also uncomfortable to see making us wonder what we were inhaling. Light bulb in bathroom was flickering the first nite we were there, and an outside stair board flipped off as we walked up the first time to get to the entrance of the house. Both items did not get fixed promptly, it took 2 days for the replacement and repair. We would not rent this place again, and we are frequent vacationers to Duck. We deal with another realty company in Duck who will take away all your business if you dont take care of some of these underlying issues re: accomadating the rentors. We only rented this house because the one we usually rented was unavailable at the time. This could have been an opportunity for you to gain another valuable customer. Sorry, we will reluctantly rent through your company again.

Overall our stay in the outer banks was wonderful. Resort Reality was efficient and helpful. The house was more than adequate. Close to the ocean. House could really use a hot tub!!! The pool that is in the development is a good bike ride away.

House was very beat up. Not clean. No cleaning products. Beds were very uncomfortable. Furniture was sloppy.
The location was awesome. Beach was one of the best we've had at the Outer Banks(20+ years).
The house could really use some TLC (and a hot tub).
The real estate agency was Very accomodating.
We liked this house for its perfect location and size.

We were very happy with our rental experience from Resort Realty. The house was as described and pictured on their website. The owners have obviously invested in improving the appearance and functionality of the unit from new shingles and decking to new heat pumps. It was clean and in good condition; although, the service was still cleaning when we arrived. The location of the house was perfect and the size was great for our smallish family. We appreciated the use of the beach chairs and umbrellas. We would definitely rent this unit again or one nearby.
I would recommend some cosmetic improvements in the bathrooms. Also, we called maintenance about a loose board on the deck but it took over 24 hours to complete the simple repair. This was fine for our family, but a family with small children would have required faster service.

The house was OK. We arrived on Sunday and had ordered bed linens and towels - there were no towels or sheets and every number that we were given had a message machine. Finally about 11:30pm someone answered one of the phone numbers and said they could not help with sheets and towels. The towels and sheets were delivered the next day. I would think on check in day especially, that an actual person would be available to answer the phone in case there are any problems. We were told that we would be reimbursed the full amount for sheets and towels - have not received yet. Catherine Haining
