all was well coordinated. house in great shape when we arrived. absolutely no issues. great house with all the amenities we were looking for!Realty company fantastic. We did not feel as good about the location. the 2 hours to get onto the island and two hours upon exit made it a less pleasant vacation spot than many others we have been to in the last 7 yrs. The island is overpopulated. Traffic at key hours of day frustrating and took away from the beauty of location.

We truly enjoyed our short stay at Dabbling Duck. Trip was cut short due to Hurricane Earl. The house was fantastic. Our kids loved the pool and the short distance to the beach. The only problem we had was that this house was in dire need of an exterminator...there was a ton of spiders and bugs both inside and outside of the house. Outside on the decks and around the pool and hot tub area were the worst. We however would stay at this house again...it was the perfect size for my family and friends.

Found mostly everything at the house to be in order. The pool filter leaked so we had to add water to the pool every day. The vacuum cleaner did not work well. The dryer vent needs to be cleaned, it took a long time to dry clothes. Those are the only real negatives (if you want to call it that) that we found with the house. It was decorated very well and a comfortable house for all of us to enjoy.

This home has been great for us for the past two years. 3 sets of adults, 4 children under 5...this home provides plenty of space--space to separate yourself from other families if wanted, and space to gather together. We particularly like that each family has their own floor. The location of this home makes it convenient to take advantage of enjoying both, Duck and Corolla. Some things that we like best about this home: proximity to the beach without paying oceanfront prices, beautiful view of the sound, particularly the sunsets, large kitchen and dining area to accomodate 3+ families, pool with plenty of lounge seats/patio furniture for all, wrap-around decks on all floors. Service has always been fine...this year we had to call Realty company because we were having trouble with the front door not locking properly...and they promptly sent a maintenance person out to fix it within hours. Only opportunity that we had this year, was cleanliness. The home had to be swept and vacuumed upon our arrival, table and countertops had to be wiped...this single opportunity shouldn't deter anyone from renting this home, it all depends on if the folks that stayed the week prior have the same standards of cleaning as you do...

Spent first week of August 2008 in Dabbling Duck.The house is beautiful and worked so well for our family group. Sunsets over the sound were amazing. Sitting on decks with an early morning beverage was delightful. Service at Resort realty was hassle free. Would love to come back to Dabbling Duck some day. Highly recommend

This was a very nice property and a very quiet part of town. The walk to the beach was less than five minutes. The view of the sound from the deck was incredible.
