Perfect House-Something for everyone

We were 2 families including 4 teenagers. The separate floors and multitudes of baths, bedrooms and TVs were fabulous. The pool table and hot tub were also a big hit. The view, location, surf and blue sky couldn't be beat.
Week on the beach at MoJo's

Keyless entry is convenient and real time saver, loved it! The floor floor plan of the home worked great for our family. The kitchen was fully equipped and the appliances were great. The house is sunny and bright with beautiful views of the beach. The location was just what we wanted, on the beach. Each day while enjoying breakfast or dinner we had a live picture of dolphins breaching and pelicans diving for their next meal.
The house had so much to offer except 3 bedrooms shared one bathroom on the 3rd level. Finally, Resort Realty requires clients to sweep and mop the floors before leaving which is a reasonable request. My complaint is the cleaning service did not wipe the floors and used a vacuum cleaner that made noise but didn't pick up anything because it was so clogged. We found hair behind doors and in the bathroom. When we arrived the cleaning person had music blasting and she was relaxing on the deck eating chips. The inspector dropped by but i never saw the person. The inspector did not inspect the cleanliness of the home. The deck floors need to be taken care of, splinters and rusty nails. Cobwebs and spiders everywhere on the porches. Very unpleasant!!

The home is beautiful and the decks are outstanding. We also enjoyed the views from the dining table.
As a group, we cooked at the house. What was a lacking were cooking pots, pans and serving dishes. There were also no casserole dishes.
The hot tub and outdoor shower were delightful. It was nice to have the downstairs for younger family members, with pool table and bar. Be aware the noise travels since there is no carpeting.

Unsatisfactory cleanliness marred an otherwise perfect home

The house was not cleaned to our satisfaction. There was hair all over the bathroom floors and throughout the rest of the house. I had to buy a dustbuster to clean before we were comfortable. Other than that, the house was fine, and the location was excellent.
Beauty and the Beach

Mojo's is a wonderful property right on the beach. The views are amazing. The house is very well decorated -- it is beautiful but comfortable as well. The house is in excellent condition and we really enjoyed our stay. Mojo's is close enough to town to get supplies (we loved Tommy's Market) but far enough away so that you don't get caught up in traffic. It is also close to Corolla so that you can take day trips there. We loved everything about our stay!

The caretaker upon arrival could not have been nicer. She was extremely helpful, accommodating our early noon arrival, and answered all of our questions.
To me, there is no point in renting a house that is off the ocean, even semi-ocean front is not worth the money. The house being right on top of the dune was spectacular for the views, but also for ease of beach access and closeness to the sound of the ocean. The decor and relaxed feeling of the house made our stay perfect, plenty of utensils, pots, pans, etc. The house had a luxurioius feel without losing the beachy aura.
The location was perfect as we were very close to shops and stores in Duck as well as a quick ten minute drive to Currituck area going north.
Here is what I would suggest to make the house flawless, however the owners did a terrific job designing and furnishing the home: I know there are plenty of rental places, but a home having a few beach items such as umbrellas and chairs on property is a plus, Mojo needs to describe a little better the access to wireless network,(just shows code at the end of book), although adding appliances is not a priority, an ice maker in bottom floor area would be ideal, today's day and age, adding HD cable box would be better with a beautiful TV like that in great area.
The only thing we didn't seem to like about the house was the picnic area. We love the outdoor shower, but the soapy run-off would just puddle near the tables, however we loved the grill area and used the grill to cook as well. Overall the best part of the house was the location, view, decor and beautiful landscaping. Thank you again to the owners who were especially accommodating during this more careful spending economy. Our best wishes go out to all the MOJO's. - The Cochranes
Mojo, very enjoyable vacation home!

This was the second summer we rented Mojo and enjoyed our visit both times. We have already made plans to rent this home for two weeks next summer. If we had a complaint it would be about a couple things, one is the light switches. We have a hard time figuring which switch controls what light fixure or fan. The first year at this home we experienced a terrible ant problem, but much less this past visit.
The housekeeping service is very good and the two ladies we met were helpful and very nice. The personal at Resorts have been helpful and professional. We appreciate the 'Mojo' family and thank them for sending us the greeting cards they have.
The home is very well maintained with great views, we would recommend it to others.

What I liked - great decks, nice views, nice hot tub, good parking, nice tv in main living room.
What I disliked (for an ocean front property)- shared access to beach with public access, no bath in master bedroom only one bath on main sleeping floor - 6 people. Poor Tv choices any where but main living area and no DVD player in main area.
Not specific to property but the practice of people leaving up tent frames over night on the beach and taking up much of the best locations for the entire week -other beaches don't allow that. Also "stuck in Duck" turned out to be true.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Being right on the beach was really important to us. The home was beautiful, very comfortable. We loved the three decks facing the ocean and rarely left the property. We enjoyed the kitchen, as well as the grill outdoors. The hot tub got lots of use, as well. Even when the weather wasn't ideal, being able to sit on the covered decks was lovely. My husband and I loved the master bedroom, with the deck right outside, and being able to hear the ocean waves at night.

very nice - great accomodations for the most part - Overall logistics and ease to make arrangements were very good - Would book every year but perhaps looking to book for min. 2 weeks to a month. A pool is always nice.....
