House has a great layout, great pool/pool area, close to town, but a bit of a hike from the beach - and doesn't have wagons or carts so we had to rent them in order to get everyone/everything down to beach. Carpet and furnishings are pretty tired but overall a great house.

this was our 2nd year in the station-we find this to be a very warm and homey setting. pool is great-short walk to duck doughnuts-great sunsets at the sound & marvelous sunrises-on the ocean side-will continue to use this great retreat.

Great house - not too big, perfect for a family of 6. Basement has an extreme musty smell (luckily we did not need to use those bedrooms). The location was too far from the beach and we had to drive to get there. Kids left a bowl of popcorn out by the pool and 10 mins later there was a severe infestation of ants...who also attacked my iced coffee within minutes.

The home was lovely and well-appointed - it actually has 6 bedrooms, not 5 as advertised (a happy surprise). The folks at Resort Realty were wonderful, responsive, and friendly. This house was an excellent bargain for the location, size, and amenities.

We stayed here in august 2010. It is a nicely appointed home. Very spacious and it was great how the bottom level had a TV room and bedrooms for the teenagers to all give us some space. The pool was great with the iPod hook-up as was the basketball hoop and the bicycles. It was in a perfect location- walking distance to the Duck Village (awesome!!) and a short walk to the beach that was fine even with a two year old.
For the negatives- the house was built in the 80's? Looks like everything is pretty much original which is mostly ok- carpet had huge stains (yuck) and should definitely be replaced. The couches are showing there age (dirt) and could use a cleaning. The kitchen microwave was missing a big piece of the vent- purely cosmetic but it cheapened the look of the place. The mattresses are horrible-like a wooden board. Probably the typical cheapies you throw in a rental home. Also, the deck has no stairs to get down to the pool. You have to go downstairs and out that door to get to the pool- very inconvenient. The last complaint were all of the personal photos the owner had displayed everywhere. When I go on vacation I want to feel like I'm in a resort or my own vacation home- although the pictures were cute I don't want to see pictures of a stranger's family. The rest of the family was pretty put off by it as well. It was an easy fix and we just placed them in the drawers while we were there and put them back before leaving. All in all it is a great place and I would go back. -

The house was very nice. Great layout. Only 2 floors, which is great for us; as we have an elderly family member that steps are not the easiest for her.
The only problem we had: the fire alarms were going off. We had to call the maintence department 3 times. They responded very quickly. The maintence man was very kind. -

We loved the house. It was our first time using it and your rental agency. We have been coming to the Outer Banks for 20 years now and this was one of the best homes we have been in. It's on our list to possibly renew for next summer!

House itself and amenities were wonderful - with a surprise bonus. The house had a sixth bedroom with twin beds. House is about seven blocks from the beach -- problem for older & very young generations. We've never been to Duck in July . . . and won't again. Traffic is terrible. I think Duck has become everyone's favorite place to come.

Great house right on the beach. Can sit on either deck and see the waves. Lots of room. Only issue was the house sleeps 10 but only 8 can sit at the dining room table. And we had 5 cars so parking was tight.
