Orrtanna, PAA great place to watch the sea during rainy days.
Left on 05/18/2013 for a stay in April 2013
The house was great with the exception that the movie theater did not work even after the geek came and fixed it. With all the rain we had it was going to be our stress reliever but instead it was a stress maker. The cheese cake was a great surprise and delicious. We came down to ride bikes but the weather did not cooperate, maybe next year will be better. We were also upset that we were not able to stay the last night of bike week like we usually do in the house, I know it was not rented for the next week and they usually let us stay so we had to split up the last night which was not good, not sure what we will do about renting next year. Really was a disappointment this year.

Syracuse, NYNicely Outfitted
Left on 08/08/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We had a great time in this house. The kitchen is especially nicely outfitted if you plan on cooking indoors with plenty of plates, tableware, pots, pans, and even a belgian waffle maker! The only drawback to cooking is the lack of a gas grill. The two charcoal grills give some sufficient grilling area, but doing things like steaming some fresh clams on the grill and then cooking some fresh tuna is very difficult to do.
The bedrooms were a bit smaller than some of the houses we have stayed in, but were comfortable.
The cleaning staff did an excellent job so our initial perceptions were very positive.
The elevator was especially helpful when needing to run between the grills on the gound to the third floor kitchen several times while cooking, and a couple of us had leg injuries where it also came in quite handy.
The kids had a great time with the theater.
I woudl recommend this house overall as we had a very posiitve experience. We've already put our deposit down for next year! -

Gainesville, VAGreat Family Vacation ~ 2012
Left on 07/26/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Our family has outgrown 3 houses during the 12 years we've been vacationing in Duck--marriages, children. Our last several years were spent next door in as Good as It Gets. We loved that house! But, alas, we needed one more bedroom and an elevator for Grandaddy and cases of beer, soda and water.
Sea Watch was perfect for us. It has the right number of bedrooms, plenty of living space for 8 adults and 6 children (ages 20 - 6), an elevator, a very well-appointed kitchen and a dining room table that seated all of us. Great view, too! Housekeeper Loretta greeted us with hugs and had the house cleaned and ready for us. We've already reserved Sea Watch for 2013! -

Bridgeport, OhioTerrific home with great ammedities
Left on 06/20/2012 for a stay in June 2012
This is the second time we rented this home. We think it has what we need for a great vacation. We believe this is one of the best locations in Duck. So close to the City Park, shopping, and restaurants. The view of the beach and ocean is outstanding. We also value the fact this house is included in the "Resort Club".

Left on 04/18/2012 for a stay in April 2012
We rented Seawatch in the Town of Duck over spring break. This house is better than ever imagined! We had 10 adults and 2 children in our party. There was plenty of room for everyone. The cleanliness of the house is top notch. The furnishings in the house are perfect. The views from the windows & decks are breathtaking. We completely enjoyed the hot tub, media room and the elevator!! We have already placed a deposit for a return visit next year!

Raleigh NCAlmost the Best House
Left on 10/12/2011 for a stay in October 2011
Sea Watch is a great house and perfect location. I wouldn't change a thing about this well equipped house except improve the maintenance service. While this may seem trivial, the DVD audio did not work in the fabulous media room. I called every day for 5 days for it to be repaired. The maintenance person couldn't figure out the problem so the audio techs were called (necessitated my 4th and 5th calls). The problem? The audio was not plugged in! I could've figured that out but did not have access to the locked media cabinet. It was very disappointing that we could not use the media room until the next to last night at Sea Watch; the great media room was one of the main reasons I chose the house. Other than that, and it was very disappointing, the house was great. I should not have had to call 5 days in a row and the very simple fix should have been easily identified quickly.

We have rented this house for the past four Septembers, because of the elevator and the beds are all very comfortable. The kitchen is well supplied with all kinds of pots and pans and dishes. We especially like the views of the ocean from indoors and from the back the decks.

The staff who met us when we got to the house were great. Very understanding to our efforts to get in with all our luggage and food as they were finalizing the cleaning.
The house was well equipped, easy access to the beach and a great view. -

Elburn, ILWe had a wonderful time.
Left on 07/14/2011 for a stay in June 2011
We enjoyed the house, and the housekeeper did a wonderful job. However, it was time for the house to have some annual maintenance like...cleaning the kitchen cabinet interiors and shampooing the carpets. The kitchen had a greasy odor that remained with the home.

This was the third year staying in the Outer Banks with different realty companies and this was by far the best service, the staff actually showed up to check on our stay and maintenance and was plesant and most helpful.
My family and I appreciate the service, the home and the location - wonderful!
Thank you for making our week top notch! -

Oak Hill, VAHigh quality beachfront get away.
Left on 09/02/2010 for a stay in August 2010
We had a great time at the Sea Watch. The property is well appointed (a gas grill would be a great addition) and very well designed. We enjoyed all aspects of the house from the media room to the loft area and all parts in between. We enjoyed sitting on the decking at night and stargazing. One thing i noticed is that the vegetation under the dune deck is virtually gone and something should be done to re-establish the growth to ensure that the dune is not compromised.

The Medley Group
Leesburg, VAGreat house, however, cleaning and maintenance harassed us
Left on 08/25/2010 for a stay in August 2010
The house was wonderful! The bedrooms and living areas are spacious. The house is a perfect distance from the beach. The theater was great for all. Our family really enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well. The start of our vacation was a bit bothersome. My sister-in-law asked the cleaning woman when she thought the downstairs fridge would be ready on check-in day since she had some stuff in a cooler. Apparently the cleaner got upset and she left early and didn't finish cleaning the basement. There was sand on the pool table and the beds were not made downstairs and there was a roasting pot in the cabinet with about 5" of moldy muck that we had to clean out. She also told the realtor that we had too many people in the house. We had a total of 12 adults, 6 kids under 5, and one 3-week old. We received a phone call from the realtor. I spoke to the woman that called and explained to her that we were not over the limit and that they were welcome to come check. After that, the maintenance man stopped by our house 3 separate times during the week and talked to 3 separate people telling us what will happen if there are too many people, that we could get evicted and how alarms will go off if the septic was overused. I understand if they came by once to make sure we were telling the truth, but to harass us during the whole week was unacceptable. I didn't appreciate him talking to other people in my group. It should have been solved through me, the organizer and person on the lease. My family and I have been vacationing and renting homes in the OBX for over 30 years and we have never had complaints with the realtors. On check-out day, we double checked all rooms to make sure everything was clean, orderly, and back in place. We wiped counters, cleaned out the fridges, cleaned the floors, like we normally do. We always respect the house we rent. No one in our group appreciated the way the maintenance man handled the situation.

Richmond, VirginiaBeach Family Reunion
Left on 08/08/2010 for a stay in July 2010
We usually stay in Corolla, but family members wanted a house on the beach with pool and close to shopping - therefore Duck is the best! The house location was great except for the public beach walkway next to the house - pool area needs a taller fence. Great having the elevator to transport luggage and food items to the top floors! Kitchen/dining area great for everyone to cook and eat - private walkway to beach is wonderful - not having to cart beach chairs/umbrellas/etc. to beach was great.
Only problem was saw was that several inside hallway lights and outside porch/pool lights were not working and when we told the maintanence person, he did not fix anything - told us to tell the pool person. The pool person didn't come till almost end of week and did not clean the pool very well - we did the skimming everyday - too much grime at bottom of pool! Also, people lighting firecrackers at night - it was not even July 4th - our little kids were asleep and when we told the people to stop/leave the front of our beach house, we had to call for the police. Not a fun night! -

Oceanfront is the way to go! Great house for a large group. Loved the pool, hot tub, and tv room. Be sure to bring your Ipod and listen to tunes all over the house and out at the pool as well. This home included some beach chairs as well as Internet. Wonderful that you could check in at noon and having the key box on site made it even more convenient! Would love to stay here again!

Longmont, COWe enjoyed our week at Sea Watch even through the rain.
Left on 09/17/2009 for a stay in September 2009
We enjoyed our stay at Sea Watch. This was our 19th year vacationing in the Outer Banks and we have spent several years in Sea Watch. There are ten of us and we have reserved this house through 2011. We love the location and have had great service. The beds are very comfortable.
Our only concerns are:
Need more lounge chairs at the pool. And perhaps more comfortable for the 10 of us.
The knives in the kitchen need to be sharpened or replaced.
Provide a wine opener.
The blind at the front door needs to be replaced.
The sofa in the living room is wearing and becoming uncomfortable.
Thank you for asking for an evaluation. On the whole this is a great place to stay.

Bergenfield, NJthe best vacation!!
Left on 08/29/2009 for a stay in August 2008
There were 3 families that stayed together. the house was so big that we didn't even get into one another's way. It was very clean upon arrival. And the view of the ocean from all the rooms was magnificent. We had a really wonderful time.A few of the deck chairs around the pool were cracked, we reported it when we got there, the chairs were replaced by the next day. The location was perfect after a long drive. What would have been nice was a list of places to go out and eat posted in the kitchen. We had a hard time when we wanted to eat out. And, this house is right at the walk thru for people going to the beach, you are pretty much on display as everyone walks thru. maybe a higher fence along that wall for a little bit of privacy? Everyone looked at you as they passed by. We plan on returning in the next summer or so. I wish I was there now!!!

Fairfax, VAA great vacation for a lucky family
Left on 08/15/2009 for a stay in July 2009
After many, many vacations in Corolla, including owning our own beach house, we decided to try Duck this year--our 3-generation family includes 7 grandsons from 10 to 21 and one amazing granddaughter of 11. Sea Watch was the perfect place for us--so close to the beach that those teenage boys could return regularly for eating and pool games without lugging a bunch of stuff to the beach. The dune deck was a great place for cocktail hour; the beach empties out by 5-ish for long beautiful beach walks; there were no jelly-fish; the kitchen/dining areas were well-equipped and spacious, as was the rest of the house. We really used the multiple refrigerators and 2 dishwashers. The boys loved the media room and pool table. We would have liked to have wi-fi and built-in Internet, because all those laptops we had really put a strain on the RenterNet service we had to arrange (and pay for) ourselfes. It was great, however, to have the IPod dock and fun to figure out all we could do with the system. We also liked being walking distance from the town of Duck and its activities and facilities. All in all, a fine week.

We had a wonderful vacation with family and friends. The house had great space, bedroom and bathroom sizes. several extra little rooms to use for offices and places to have the babies sleep. The theater room and pool table were great when we had bad weather. We were dissapointed that it was not available this year.

Albany, NYAn amazing week in a little piece of paradise!
Left on 07/17/2009 for a stay in June 2009
Our family has rented before with resort realty and I am pleased to say that
the services we have received have always been nothing but wonderful.
Everyone was more than helpful and informative. The rental process was
easy and hassle free.
Sea Watch was an amazing home. The location directly on the beach was
ideal. The entire family was always entertained and occupied by the many
amenities the home and location had to offer. The home itself surpassed all
our expectations with more than enough room for our large family.
Something as small as being able to sit around the table for meals together
was really special. Overall, there can't be enough said about this wonderful
home. It was the perfect fit for our family and we hope to be back soon!
Duck is most definitely a wonderfully relaxing area. The beach was clean
and not too crowded. Everyone enjoyed being able to walk to the shops at
the end of the road, and we certainly took full advantage of the fresh
seafood market just down the road! Such a great area, would recommend it
to anyone.
We certainly enjoyed everything the home and location had to offer. The
beach and our own personal swimming pool were definitely high on the list
of most treasured memories. There is nothing we would have wanted
different for our first complete family vacation in 8 years!
To sum it up: A wonderful week filled with great memories for our entire
family. We hope to visit again soon as everyone's most common phrase
since we've returned is...."I wish we were back in the Outer Banks!!!"
Thank you for a great time! -

This home is beautiful! The attention to detail is wonderful - lots of little delights like the loft area and the pendant lights over the kitchen counter. Our master bedroom and bath were great, and we loved being so close to the shopping in Duck. Lots of area to bike ride and a gorgeous view of the beach. Just a delightful place to take a vacation - we hope to be back someday!
