York paNice location
Left on 01/10/2013 for a stay in December 2012
The location is nice; however it is close to the road. The beach is close and the pools were nice although closed while we were there. We went for Christmas to relax and have family time. The layout worked well for our families. We were disappointed with the cleaniliness of the place. We let them know and they apologized.

Columbus, OhioThanksgiving at Duck
Left on 12/14/2012 for a stay in November 2012
Our week at "What's Up Duck?" was a wonderful experience. None of us had ever been to the Outer Banks before and the location of the house was great. We could watch the sunset from the upper deck. The house was well-designed, with enough space and enough privacy for everyone.
(We had 3 couples and a 2 yr old) We were pleasantly surprised that the kitchen was so well equipped for all kinds of meals. -

Left on 08/06/2012 for a stay in July 2012
While the house was closer to the road then we expected - the location turned out to be a great balance between accessing the beach and sound side. Our kids (3-8) loved the Sound side pool the most as the waves were quite rough while we were there. Again having that option was fantastic. The house setup was perfect for our 2 families vacationing together.

This house was close to the beach and easy to get to. Very nice being in Duck where it was a little quieter. House had ample area and space, and very nice decks that wrapped around the house. Would def. go back!

One of the best things about this house was the extra space for all of us to enjoy our vacation. The 3 generations all had places to be separate and together. Our grandsons especially liked the game room on the ground floor. The location was great...an easy walk either to the sound or the ocean on a quiet street with no through traffic. The house was clean and had furnishings that were comfortable but had a beachhouse feel to them. The only drawbacks were the distance to a grocery store and a lack of variety of places to eat that were family friendly.

Greenville, SCEnjoyable visit to OBX
Left on 09/05/2009 for a stay in February 2009
We found the house to be comfortable and well-maintained, suitable for the large group we had during part of our stay. The location is convenient, with easy access to both the oceanfront and the sound. The heating could be better balanced; we had to keep the upstairs a little warmer than we wished in order for the second-floor bedrooms to be comfortable. Most people won't be here during cold weather, though, so that shouldn't be a problem. The high-speed internet connection was useful to us, and essential to some of our guests. We would certainly consider this house for a future OBX stay.

Left on 08/26/2009 for a stay in July 2009
The owner was quite anxious to please us, calling after we checked in to make sure all was well.
The home was lovely except for pet stains on the carpet. There was no pet odor, however, so this was OK. Furniture was comfortable and attractive. Kitchen had everything we needed and then some. Our dog liked to play in the sound which is right across the road. We liked the beach, which is also close by. Tennis courts and 2 pools are also available. We loved all the porches. A few places needed more lamps for reading. -

VirginiaA great beach week!
Left on 08/14/2009 for a stay in July 2009
What's Up Duck was terrific. A lovely home with everything you could need for an awesome week at the beach. Only a short walk to the beach and two outdoor pools (one by the sound and one halfway to the beach) and right beside the bike path. The location and proximity to Duck and points north was ideal.

Left on 08/05/2009 for a stay in June 2009
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and neat. Furniture was in great shape. Kitchen was well equipped. Nice to have all the decks including a screen porch and the hammock! The sunsets are beautiful. Minutes to the beach on the sound or the ocean. This is the 2nd time we stayed at this property and we really like it. The owners seem to take great pride in this home. Master bed could have been a bit more comfortable but wasn't awful.
Great stay and value for a family vacation! Resort Realty was great to work with also. -

Salem, OhioRelaxing!!
Left on 07/16/2009 for a stay in November 2008
We stayed in Nov. over Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The weather was super and the home was very nice. Clean and well kept. Located near the beach, near a store, easy access to the highway as it is right on the highway!! We did not expect to use a pool and this home does not have one, but very close, walking distance, to the community pools available. Two pools are avaiable to this home, one is across the road, which is very busy so you would want to watch little children. My personal preference would have been a pool table in the game room, but the games there, air hockey and foose ball, are fine to use. The fact that this house has two family room areas worked great for us having three teenage girls along. They had their space and we had ours. Resort Realty was super to work with. I did most all my contact with them over the internet and they answered any questions quickly. What is extra, extra great about them is the short week rentals they offer. If you cannot stay a full week, they are the company you want to work with!!! I would definately use Resort Realty again for my Outer Banks vacation!!!! And "What's Up Duck" is a very nice house to rent!!
