Well maintained, good location, as we could walk to the sound or the beach easily. Although located on Duck Road, the foliage allowed for much privacy. The pier was awesome with a little beach area to swim. Our only complaints would be the beds (very uncomfortable), and the remote for the TV in the main room should be replaced. Otherwise great place, well priced.
a little slice of heaven.

The house was decorated very nice very comfortable. Everything you needed was there. Kitchen had enough items for large family the decks were very enjoyable. Pool was awesome!! We had 7 days of sunshine to enjoy it!! Can't wait to go back!! Staff was helpful & friendly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation this year at Beyond Simplicity. The house is the first on the sound side, so you are close the sound-side pier (great for crabbing and fishing)and to the beach.
We had only one problem with the interent connection. We called and someone came out the same day to correct the problem.
I would definitely stay there again.
A little more cooperation would have been nice

Southern Shores should have been more accomodative when we arrived at 2pm -- we should have been able to enter the house. We were told we had to wait until 4pm even though the house had been cleaned and inspected which we found very inconveient. We will visit the Outer Banks again but we will probably not rent from Southern Shores due to your lack of courtesy.
Perfect location and setting for all of our vacation needs

The location was great. We were close to the beach and the sound. Across the street there were tennis courts and a community pool. We never used the community pool because our family enjoyed hanging out at the house pool so much. We used the grill many times and the house was well equipped with everything we needed to cook and have wonderful family celebrations. Somedays we walked to the town of Duck (1 mile)to visit the shops and dine out. We would all love to return. The only disappointment was the wireless internet did not work.
convenient, clean and well maintained

The title says it all...convenient, clean and well maintained. The one major drawback for future renters is that if anyone has issues with stairs, I would not consider this rental. The main activity center in the home is on the third level which is common for most rentals in this area. The young kids enjoyed the pool more than the beach. Having access to tennis courts across the street is a nice plus. The kitchen is well equipped and I would recommend getting the linen service option. Dog friendly is a definite plus. I saw no damage or smells that were canine related.

We stayed at this house during the first week of September and had a wonderful time. Though it is neither on the beach nor on the sound - rather right in the middle, it was perfect for us. We were able to enjoy both equally. The property is also walking distance from the town of Duck - roughly a mile or so. I highly recommend it.
plenty of room!

Beautiful home with plenty of room. I loved the pool. The kitchen was well equipped and a short walk to the beach.

House was great. The parking at walkway to the ocean was great for the family and helped out with carrying all of your gear to the beach. Proximity to Duck was great for food/drink. Added bonus, the 4th of July parade goes by the house.
