Forest, VirginiaThanksgiving OBX style at the Dream-N-Duck
Left on 12/02/2009 for a stay in November 2009
We so enjoyed the week on the Sound. Getting up each day to the waterview from our bedroom was awesome. This cottage had 2 of everything, which really came in handy for Thanksgiving. The dock provided a place for our small sailboat, which was enjoyed by many. And being able to walk to Duck Donuts,Duck Deli, and Scarborough Fair was a great plus. Also, being a part of the Four Seasons, with work-out room and pool, was an added bonus.
The only negative, which is a tiny thing, is that the coffee/tea mugs were really not microwaveable. I think I would add a few beach mugs for people. But you know, that is such a little thing. If we ever have the opportunity to vacation in the off-season again, we would definitely consider Dream-N-Duck. -

Northern New JerseyExcellent time relaxing on the water
Left on 09/02/2009 for a stay in August 2009
Our stay at this property was both relaxing and invigorating at the same time. The location of the house could not have been any more perfect-both close to the shops at Duck and on the water for recreational activities.
A few drawbacks:
a) Both dishwashers are not attached to any cabinet or countertop-therefore the dishwashers moved around easily and looked like they were about to break.
b) The house was quite dusty-we needed to spend a few hours cleaning it when we arrived.
c) The furniture needs updating-the beds were very hard and both the living room and den furniture were quite old-and broken.
d) The pool had several stains-and the deck needed refinishing. My son had quite a number of splinters.
e) the showerhead in the master bathroom upstairs with the fireplace was too small-and it was hard to take a shower.
Other than those, our stay was fantastic and we will definitely stay here again in the future.
Thank you,
Frank -

RICHMOND, VAOpen House
Left on 07/22/2009 for a stay in July 2009
When we arrived the house was immaculate, and was
ready for occupancy on time.Beds were made and
towels readily available.
The home is very convenient for family gatherings
and seating for all at meals. The advantage of two
refrigerators and two dishwashers in kitchen was
wonderful. Lots of space for storage and preparing
meals.
The location on the sound was not my preference. I
go to the beach for the sound of the ocean and
sitting on the beach. Neither of these were
convenient however, the sound is very beautiful and
quiet. Canoe and boat launching is available from
the pier.
Overall we were pleased with the location, the
openness of the home for our entire family to be
entertained. The only drawback it not hearing the
ocean and ease of beach access.

Happy by the Ocean
Lexington, KentuckyBeautiful, relaxing, convenient ocean and sound experiences
Left on 07/08/2009 for a stay in June 2009
Dream n Duck was a beautiful home with all the amenities one could ask for in a house. It was on the shore with a dock and within minutes of Four Seasons Club and access to the wonderful ocean and all the fun. A few minutes walk to the little town and the shoppes made it all a wonderful and convenient vacation spot.
When we discovered the refrigerator broken, we had service in less than 12 hours, with no convenience to us. Everything was handled in a friendly and professional manner.
The house could use a new outdoor shower head to get some water running to clean the sand off you before entering the house.
The only difficultly experienced was getting in and out of the driveway, which enters directly onto the main road.
We had a wonderful time and experience and would recommend it to anyone.
Thanks to all the staff and the homeowners. -

Glyndon. MDWonderful Home - Wonderful Views
Left on 05/28/2009 for a stay in May 2009
This is a very large home that easily accommodated my small family of
6. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots and pans you could
need. The pool is wonderful, and the gazebo on the sound is great.
Having access to the Four Seasons Community made the vacation all
the better with access to the indoor pool, tennis court, and ocean
access.
We usually stay on Hatteras Island, and this was our first stay in Duck.
We could not be more pleased with what Duck has to offer. Until the
boys get older, we may stay in Duck (and possibly in this home) for
the foreseeable future.
Families that need activities for the kiddies should definitely consider
Dream N Duck for their Outer Banks vacation. -

Dream-N-Duck is one of the best places we have stayed in Duck over the past five years. Although it was not on the ocean side, the house was wonderful and the views along the sound were breathtaking. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck overlooking the sound while watching parasailers and awesome sunsets. The early mornings were spent on the covered pier sipping coffee while greeting each new day.
The house was beautifully decorated and equipped with lots of amenities including large, spacious rooms and a fantastic kitchen. This is a great family house with a rec room for the children and a private pool for the whole family. The location is within walking distance of the many unique shops and restaurants. Access to a private club with tennis courts, fitness center and indoor pool across the street is also included.
The rental agency was great to work with and helped make our stay a pleasant one. Any problems reported were handled in a timely manner. This is a keeper. I would rent this house again without hesitation.

Left on 01/13/2009 for a stay in August 2007
Wonderful Kitchen. Especially enjoyed the two Refrigerators and two Dishwashers. Plenty of dishes and utensils.
Pool area was in need on repair and landscaping. Also, limited outside seating provided.
The private dock provided lots of entertainment and amazing sunsets. -

Chesapeake, VAAwesome home!
Left on 01/08/2009 for a stay in October 2007
We have stayed at 6 homes in the outer banks over the past few years and Dream N Duck is one of our favorites, so we've rented it twice and will likely do so again in the future. It's very nicely furnished, has a terrific location & we love the Four Seasons ammenities. Their pool & workout facilities are great! You get amazing sound front views, for a lot less money than the oceanfront homes we've rented.

Faithful Duck Vacationer
VirginaThe view is worth it
Left on 01/08/2009 for a stay in July 2008
OK the view every morning was incredible. Being able to just grab a cup of coffee and and go sit on the gazebo while the kids were sleeping and its just you your thoughts and the sound was worth it all. The house well its very nice however the master bedroom is small and for how much the house cost I feel like that should have been better. Also there was no highspeed and southern shores lied and said there was... When we called to see what was going on they said again it did have high speed and after30 minutes said it did not. The
manager was so rude not willing to help out at all. Also the house is nice but not like the pictures. If your kids want to ride bikes its not as convienent because your on the main strip. All and all The view makes it worth it. Would I come back probably not maybe after I tried a few more homes on the sound.
